3. INTRODUCTION
 The word AutoCAD consists of two words auto and
CAD
 Auto is a logo of company.
 CAD is Computer Aided design or Computer Aided
drafting .
 Basically used for both 2D and 3D .
 It is designed by AUTODESK company.
 Autodesk is a USA based company.

4. VERSION OF AUTOCAD
 AutoCAD was firstly launched in Dec. 1982 by
Autodesk company.
 It comes in India in 1988.
 The first version of AutoCAD was R1 and after that
R2,R3,R4,R5,…….and so no.
 In 2000, the AUTODESK launches AUTOCAD 2000 and
after that 2001,2002,2003……….and so on .

 Latest version of AUTOCAD is AUTOCAD 2018
 Date of release is March 2017
