Three weeks ago I deposited a payroll check of $1,000 into my checking account.
On the check I specifically stated that the check was For Deposit Only Account
Number 7852837 right above my signature. I have tried to pay some bills with this

The beach umbrella, the towels, the chairs, and then the cooler. In the backseat, I
watched as my family finished packing the van with the assortment of items we
had brought with us to the beach. The van was the family tank, a roaring piece of
machinery that somehow seemed to make the passenger feel secure even with the
alarming grumbling of the engine. The back of the van was filled and now, on this
late summer day, we were taking our leave from the shore. I looked back once

My goals upon graduation, and where I plan working within the social work field.
Growing up I dealt with many forms of abuse, and due to all the trauma I had a lot
of built up aggression. Unfortunately, at the time I felt there was no other way to
express myself except to act out. As a consequence of my bad behavior, I lost
many close friends, and missed many good opportunities. As a result, I was
required to go to intensive family therapy for three days a week, with a women
named Julie. Fortunately, after therapy I saw a change in myself, and I began to
learn new skills to communicate, and cope with my anger. Although, I ve gone to see
many therapists before, Julie was the one counselor that gave me hope, and after
meeting her my life has positively changed. This experience of going to family
therapy, and meeting Julie has influenced me to want to help other troubled teens
who have dealt with abuse.
Upon graduating from Heritage University with a Bachelor s degree in Social Work, I
hope to start my own private practice, so I can counsel troubled teens. I plan on
providing services such as cognitive therapy, employment resources, and family
therapy. However, I will specialize in working at risk youth with behavioral
problems. In addition, I will continue on with my education, and get a M.S.W in
Social Work. I plan on earning my M.S.W. in Social Work at Eastern University, so I

According to the Weekly Standard, the U.S. government spends about 3.7 trillion
dollars on welfare over the last five years which is almost greater than how much

It was an extremely stormy night. That made sense, because Hurricane Irma was
hitting. I was heading to Mr. Boddy s mansion for dinner. I got there kind of late so
everyone was already there. The wind had blown off a few shingles. I hurried inside
knowing there was much stronger winds to come. The table was set. I found a place
to sit along with all of the other invited guests. We start eating when the lights start to
flicker.
The wind is getting pretty rough . Said Mr. Plumb, just as the wind started picking up
and the lights went black.
Mr. Boddy had gone to get a generator while everyone else went to the window to
watch the storm. Boddy was gone for a while, so the other guests went to check on

These days I live in three worlds: my dreams, and the experiences of my new life,
which trigger memories from the past (Beah, 20). Ishmael Beah writes about his
journey through Sierra Leone, in his book, A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy
Soldier. He describes how he escapes the Civil War of the 1990 s. The quotation is
a simple way of describing Beah s journey, such that during his time running from
the war, he feels as if he is living in different places. In the novel, Beah uses symbols
to underscore his central theme of oppression and freedom. The central theme will
be proved by analyzing Beah s cassette tapes, guns and his journey to New York City.
One of the most important things during Ishmael s journey to freedom is not only
to get away from the war going on in Sierra Leone, but the cassette tapes he values

The two pillars that seem to be the strongest in the case of Russia s regime, are
repression and co optation. The weakest pillar, hence would be legitimation. This isn
