3) Students will participate in webinars where they teach a lesson using technology and participate in other students' webinars. Webinars must be conducted between January 24th-30th.
4) Additional assignments include posting links to resources, deciding on a podcast theme, beginning a professional journal article, and starting to plan the debate topic and group.

Permalink for this paragraph0 Digital storytelling (DST) is an innovative, project-based pedagogy that faculty can use as a way to engage students with course content. Resulting as captivating narrative presentations, digital stories involve a variety of activities that include research, reflective/expository writing, and learning skills in technology and oral communication. This presentation will highlight the University of Richmond’s DST program that has impacted dozens of faculty and over 1000 students since 2007. Issues related to faculty buy-in, student training, technology support and digital story curation will also be addressed.
Induction session
Here are a few ideas to get you started:
1. Create a class wiki to share resources and student work. Start with a simple layout and structure and expand it throughout the year as you learn more tools.
2. Design a lesson that uses Animoto, Photostory or Toon Doo to have students create a digital story or comic strip about a topic you are covering. This allows for creative expression and assessment of understanding.
3. Plan a lesson where students can choose to create a website, poster, brochure or other option to showcase what they learned. Provide examples of strong work and allow students to select the format based on their interests and skills. Offering technology-based choices engages more students.
ICT in Elementary Education
