Are you Male or Female?
Male Female
To get reliable results we needed to
distribute the questionnaires out to an
equal number of males and females. This
was almost achieved within our research
and will allow us to take into account how
their opinions relate and differ. To improve
the accuracy of this study, next time we
could makes sure the amounts are exactly
equal.

How old are you?
How old are you?
As this questionnaire was
conducted within college, the age
range was confined to 16-18 year
olds. Our documentary will not
just be aimed at the younger
demographic – therefore
meaning the results of this
questionnaire may not directly
correlate with the opinions of our
intended audience.

What ethnicity are you?
White British Afro-Caribbean Asian Mixed Other
Our documentary applies to all groups as
being part of the LGBT+ community applies
to people within all of these ethnicities.
Although we could’ve asked a more diverse
range as the majority of the people asked
classified themselves as White British.

What is your sexual preference?
Gay Lesbian Bisexual Straight Other Prefer not to say
Our documentary focuses on the
representation of the LGBT+ community in the
media so finding out opinions of those who
identify within this group is important to help
us get a better understanding of what they
think was important. For instance, everyone
who identified themselves as gay, lesbian or
bisexual said they would like to see a
documentary on our topic. Whereas, 3 of the
people from the straight category stated that
they didn’t – clearly emphasising the
difference of interest. However, the majority
of people we asked were straight so we may
need to ask a larger group next time so that
the answers collected are more relevant. We
also need to be careful when asking a question
such as this because some people may feel
uncomfortable to answer (1 person chose the
option of not wanting to answer).
