1. The target audience of my trailer
was males and female’s aged 16-
28. To conduct research on the
views of my target audience I
made a YouTube video which
interviewed our target group in
particular males and female’s
aged 16-18. In this interview we
asked the participant ‘what do
you like about Police Crime
Thriller’s’ the respondent stated
that this genre is ‘interested and
has a fast past’.In my trailer I took
this into initiative through having
a fast- pace through the trailer
and keeping the trailer interesting
for the viewer in terms of the
locations and storyline.
2. In my audience research I
conducted a questionnaire using
Survey Monkey, I asked ‘’What
marketing technique do you
think would attract you to a film
the most’’. My results showed
that a trailer is the most
affective technique and word of
mouth. This audience feedback
gave me a deeper understanding
how the various ways to market
a product.
3. My fellow students and peers have watched my
trailer and have given me positive feedback. Many
respondents stated that they like it keep them
wanting ‘’to know what’s going to happen next’’ and
it’s really good in the way it has been ‘’edited’’
which suggests that my trailer has a strong cliff-
hanger.
Moreover, many people enjoyed the use of
iconography such as ‘’photographs’’ and ‘’fake
blood’’ and how it added to the suspense and genre.
