This document outlines an assignment to design a school management system. It describes the problem statement of needing a system to manage student records, fees, staff details, and transactions. The objectives are to computerize the manual system to reduce time consumption and errors while making operations easier. The scope is focused on course planning for teachers and students. 2. School Management system
Problem statement:
This management system handle whole the activities of school. It provides facilities to keep
the records of student, fees, teaching and non-teaching staff with all their required details
along with all required transaction handling.
Objective of this project:
The project objectives are: the main objective of this project is to
computerize the manual system & reduce the time consumption.
1. Make all the system computerize
2. Reduce time consumption
3. Reduce error scope
4. All system managements are automated
5. Centralized database management
6. Easy operations for operator of the system
7. No paper work requirement
End user:
End user is the person who uses the software or hardware after it has been
fully developed, marketed, and installed. So in school there are some professionals that
work on that management system, and manage all the activities on this system.
Whenever any problem occur or any new course added these end users will manage all
the schedules of the student and teachers.
Scope of this project:
The scope of this project is totally focus on the course planning for
teachers. When the project is implemented, both the students and teacher’s time will not
be wasted. Student will be done study more in less time. In this way they succeed and will
be winner than others. Although this is considered as a prototype model, the project
could be extended later to build full Course planning system to a big school such as
University where will be all information, and different calculations of the time used by
different teachers.

3. Requirements:
1. We should define problem completely and the goals should be known
before our destination
2. In the next step, we should specifyinputs and outputs of our interest
3. Then the structure of various database should be designed which will be
used during the programming
4. Next, we should design our programs of user friendly nature and always
provide a way to the user to read back the origin if he/shefind any complex
problem at any stage
5. We should know the function of each and every program which will leads
us to or helps us to read at the specified goal.
6. Then we write these individual programs which later on joining solve our
problem
7. Next step involve then testing of these programs and correction – if
necessary
8. At last, linking all the programs in a well-specified manner and
combining in the form of a menu, submenu etc. will be our defined problem.
Out of these defined steps, few of the major steps will respect to Project
“School Management System”
