This document outlines the learning objectives and assessment criteria for an ESL course. The 10 learning objectives focus on developing English language skills, including applying communication strategies, demonstrating vocabulary and grammar proficiency, fluency in speaking, preparing presentations, pronunciation, listening comprehension, note taking, awareness of diversity, and self/peer evaluation. Student work will be assessed based on performance on listening tests, vocabulary quizzes, presentations, recorded speaking assignments, a midterm oral interview, and homework/in-class work, with percentages allocated to each assessment category.
