Dr. Davis Giersch, retired North Penn High School music teacher, reflects on some of his favorite favorite memories from his time as a music educator at NPHS.
CMSa2 is celebrating its 25th anniversary of providing music education and experiences. Over the past 25 years, CMSa2 has impacted many students and community members. Alumni and current students describe how CMSa2 helped them develop their musical skills and leadership abilities. It also helped foster their appreciation of music and build confidence. CMSa2 creates an inclusive environment for people of all ages and abilities to make music together and bring joy to others through their collaborative performances.

Making music through simple instruments like pots shows early musical enjoyment. Chinese music plays an important role in both Chinese and Thai culture. It was imported from China's Guangdong province to Thailand. Various Chinese musical activities exist in both countries, including music for accompaniment during ceremonies and performances like lion dances, dragon dances, and Chaozhou opera. Amateur musical groups in both China and Thailand play Chinese music as a hobby. Chinese music is also part of ritual ceremonies in Buddhism. Music education in Chinese culture includes schools and competitions, while in Thailand it is more of a hobby and part of language schools. Both cultures preserve the more conservative styles of Chinese music.

She studied piano performance at several prestigious conservatories in Russia and received advanced degrees. Karpunkina furthered her education in Germany and Switzerland, receiving scholarships. She has had a successful performing career, giving concerts around the world and winning awards. Karpunkina teaches piano as a professor in Greece and gives master classes internationally.

VOA has been performing for 25 years across North America and internationally. It started as a children's ensemble and has grown into a collective of African artists from the diaspora representing various cultural traditions through dance, song, and percussion. Their performances feature traditional West African instruments and bring audiences to their feet with uplifting music spanning the African diaspora.
The project aims to create an inclusive education learning community in Ukraine to support students with disabilities. It plans to develop and implement inclusive education training programs for teachers and parents across Ukraine, including remote areas. The goals are to establish a network of education professionals and parents focused on inclusive practices and form a Ukrainian consortium of universities to promote inclusive education policies. The project has held various seminars and workshops on inclusive topics. It also created textbooks and online resources to share information.
