The holocaust claimed the lives of 6 million Jews and the cultural shock of this
genocide has echoed throughout the modern world to this day. Thus, post holocaust
readers will forever be sensitive to acts of racism present in literature, particularly anti
Semitism. The play The Merchant of Venice(1605) by William Shakespeare is a
tragedy to the modern reader due its exploration of prejudice towards Jewish
people. The play is set in Venice and begins with young Bassanio needing 3000
ducats to court a wealthy heiress named Portia. Bassanio goes to his good friend
Antonio who provides Bassanio with the funds through borrowing a short term loan
from a Jewish money lender, Shylock. Shylock dislikes Antonio due to his anti
Semitic views and thus declares that if the money is not replayed within three
months he will extract a pound of flesh from Antonio. The play concludes with
Shylock attempting to claim his bond but through Portia s deception ends up losing
all of his wealth and property, with the play ending in marriage between Bassanio

The effects of coffee on reaction time in a group of Swinburne nursing students
Abstract
This experiment studied the effects of caffeine on the reaction time of a number of
students. It was done with 12 individuals who all selected their own source of caffeine
to use for the testing. The three main caffeine sources were V energy drink, coffee
and red bull. The reaction times of these students were recorded before and after
drinking the caffeine in order to obtain results on the effect that caffeine had on the
individual. This was done by using an online reaction test where students were to
click on a button each time the green traffic light appeared. The results indicated
significant differences in the reaction times of the students pre and post caffeine
intake. Therefore, the experiment showed that caffeine did have an impact on the
reaction time of the student after consuming caffeine. This report allows comparison
of the mean scores of the 12 groups using tables and graphs to clearly indicate the
differentiation of each result.

57. Benefits Of A New Team
When I was in Noida working for Headstrong, my team used to go out for lunch on
special occasions. As that area had quite many options, sometimes we used to be
in a fix as to where to go. Another reason for long decision making was because
different people had their own tastes. And, few of them had even been to places
we were zeroing in on and didn t want to go again. Now, that was a mess as it
would delay our outings that were supposed to become a lifetime memory for a few
at least! We tried to plan well ahead in advance, but that also had issues as people
wanted to delay it to the last minute.
We primarily relied on word of mouth recommendations and what we as a team
preferred the most. All in all, it used to go just fine most of the times. However, i
remember one incident when one of our new team members strongly
recommended a restaurant to which his family were regular visitors for many
years. He was giving mouthwatering description of the dishes available there and
most of us melted like butter on a parantha and were looking forward to go there.
Come the D day, being a foodie, i was especially charged up; but there was one delay
after another as few of the folks were held up in meetings. It was way past my usual
lunch time and finally, we went ahead around quarter to 3. We were all very hungry
but to our utter disappointment we found the place closed.
The colleague who had recommended us looked pretty sad and asked nearby shops
if the restaurant had closed for good.
