This document discusses calculating the hydrostatic force on a circular plate submerged in water. It sets up the problem by assuming the plate has a radius of 2 meters and is submerged 6 meters below the water surface. It then describes setting up an axis system and splitting the plate into horizontal strips to calculate the force on each strip. Through integrating the pressure and area of the strips, the total hydrostatic force on the circular plate is found to be 288pi Newtons.
