Qualities of a Great 
Leader, Part 2
CREATIVITY
Creativity alone can really separate the 
strongest leaders from the rest. Leaders 
will often encounter scenarios that will 
require deviation from the norm. This is 
where creativity can truly prove vital.
It is during these scenarios that teams will 
look to their leaders for guidance. Leaders 
must be able to think outside of the box 
and adapt quickly to new scenarios.
Work within the guidelines to reach the 
best outcome and utilize all possible 
options, even if that means consulting 
your team to help reach a conclusion.
ABILITY TO 
DELEGATE
Trust your team. If you have been diligent 
throughout the hiring process, then 
ideally your employees are exactly the 
types who can manage the tasks you are 
delegating to them.
If you are unable to trust your team, then 
your business may not progress to the next 
stages. Trust is a sign of strength, not 
weakness. The greatest leaders make this a 
regular practice. Identify the strengths of 
your team and utilize them.
Delegate tasks to the appropriate 
personnel. Be sure to set everyone up for 
success. If certain team members find 
particular tasks more enjoyable, then odds 
are they will put more effort into it.
This practice will benefit everyone and 
everything. If done properly, you will 
have more time to tackle higher level 
business.
CONFIDENCE
There are several significant traits of great 
leaders, but it is important to note that all 
these traits are rooted in confidence. Part 
of your responsibilities will include 
maintaining team morale and extinguishing 
fires when they spark.
The business may face some tough days and 
your confidence can be what holds 
everything together. Your team members can 
pick up on certain attitudes, and bad 
attitudes or vibes can spread throughout an 
office like a virus.
Maintaining a positive attitude, 
staying calm, and exuding confidence 
will be imparted to your team.

  • 3. Creativity alone can really separate the strongest leaders from the rest. Leaders will often encounter scenarios that will require deviation from the norm. This is where creativity can truly prove vital.
  • 4. It is during these scenarios that teams will look to their leaders for guidance. Leaders must be able to think outside of the box and adapt quickly to new scenarios.
  • 5. Work within the guidelines to reach the best outcome and utilize all possible options, even if that means consulting your team to help reach a conclusion.
  • 7. Trust your team. If you have been diligent throughout the hiring process, then ideally your employees are exactly the types who can manage the tasks you are delegating to them.
