Put the switch near the operator 
Put the signal in a place where the 
supporting person can see/hear it 
Write instructions 
Train 
Practice, monitor, retrain
It can be expensive:

It can be as cheap as you want it to be:

Anything in between:
A light is just a light 
The culture will decide if Andon will work 
› Do you stop the line when there’s a problem? 
› Are there support systems in place? 
› Do you value a visual factory? 
› Are you solving problems or just reacting? 
› Is there motivation to use it?
