This document analyzes and compares the album covers, advertisements, and music videos for several electro pop artists, focusing on how they convey style and relate to each other through visual elements. For Marina and the Diamonds, the white dress and nails in the music video are echoed by white font on the album cover, despite differences in context. Disclosure's album cover and advertisement feature the duo in checker shirts as seen in their music video. Katy B's album cover uses bright colors representative of electro pop to draw attention to her image, relating to her advertisement through similar but darker shades of those colors.

The genre we picked for our music video was Electro pop. We chose the song Attracting Flies by Aluna George.
One of the Digipak’s I am going to be focusing on is one of Marina and the Diamonds, who is also from the
Genre Electro Pop.
As you can see this is the front cover of Marina and the Diamonds
Album. From looking at the original music video the visual style in
relation to the video is mostly from the use of the Color white.
The artist is seen wearing a white dress in which she also has her
nails painted white a long with white foam in her hair. The only
link this can be made to is the use of a white font on the front
cover. From watching the video and looking at the album cover it
is almost out of context. The costume is plain and simple but again
it is almost as if she has been misplaced as she is seen in a very
popular area of new York.
This is the back cover of the Album. There is no direct link to
the video as the video has a more realistic style to it as she is
seen walking down the streets of new york which completely
puts her out of context as she is dressed quite differently and
isn’t suited to the location. Despite of all this it creates a sense
of originality as not all artists create music videos like this one.
They are expected to create a fast, upbeat type of music video
and more funky color's on the album cover itself.

3. The first feature of the advert is the image of the
artist herself, she is placed in the centre of the
advert to be noticeable and to grab the audience’s
attention. The album title and the name of the
artist is in bold white font this has a direct link to
the video as the colour white is seen a lot
through the video. Despite the album name and
the artist name being in a bold font the name on
its own is larger to focus all the attention on the
artist and also to let the audience know what the
name of the album title is. We also see the
background imagery to be of quite a old
fashioned style this again highlights the
originality of the artist as the audience would
expect to see funky, bright colours to reflect the
genre. The use of the old fashioned bland colour
may be used to make the artist stand out against
the background. Below the image is information
on who is featuring the singles and when the new
single is out, this is done to advertise both the
album and the songs on it.

4. Disclosure.
This is the back and front of the album cover. The main
colours which are seen on the Digipaks and also in the
music video are black, orange and white. The front cover is
very simple with only a picture of two little twin boys, they
may be brothers. Also the name of the duo is in a bold,
black font whereas the name of the song is in white this
again separates the two to stand out and let the audience
know who the duo are. The clothing the two boys are
wearing is a checker shirt which jeans, this is also
highlighted in the music video a long with the white
illustration on their face. Both artists are seen together on
the front cover and also in the music video but the only
difference is that in the music video they are seen on
different sides. This may be done to show the different
personalities of the two. The back cover of the album is
also bland and simple with a list of the tracks. The
background colour is grey which is also seen at the front.
Each and every colour used is seen across all media
products.
This is one of the adverts of the duo’s single.
It is very simple but draws us to the image on
the front of the advert. The faces represent the
duo and the white outline on their faces are
also highlighted as it is a synergy product used
in the music video, album cover and advert.

5. Katy B.
This is the album cover of Katy B song ‘Katy on a mission’. The
colours used are very bright, dominant and stands out easily with
or without the image. In a lot of electro pop music videos the use
of bright colours represent the genre itself, this is because the
music is fast, upbeat and creates a party mood. On the other hand
we have a picture of the artist herself across the front of the
cover to grab the attention of the audience. Katy B is also another
artist who is very simple with music and the style of it. The font is
white, slim but bold which is seen on the front across the artist
image. This again highlights who the artist is and to let others
know who she is.
This is the advert which again shares similar colours to the
album cover. The colours on the advert are darker shades of the
same colours which creates a direct link with the album. It is
very simple with only the name of the artist and the song title. It
is placed in the middle of the advert to draw attention to it.
