Conclusion
 The system will be useful for deaf persons.
 The system will be useful for people who want to learn sign
language.
 It will reduce language barrier between deaf and hearing people.
 After implementing SMS service, effective communication can
happen between users located at a distant place.

  • 17. 17 Department of CSE, CUET Conclusion  The system will be useful for deaf persons.  The system will be useful for people who want to learn sign language.  It will reduce language barrier between deaf and hearing people.  After implementing SMS service, effective communication can happen between users located at a distant place.

Editor's Notes

  1. For communication we normally use verbal action but also facial expression, body movement and hand gesture and posture are also included. For many cases only sign language is enough to convey any messages. But for deaf and mute people, sign language is only medium to communicate with others. Sign language is a visual language which uses various body movements as a method of communication.
  2. According to WHO Around 466 million people worldwide have disabling hearing loss (1), and 34 million of these are children. 2. 13 million people are suffering from variable degrees of hearing loss of which 3 million are suffering from severe to profound hearing loss leading to disability
  3. There is a large gap between general people and deaf society during communication. Many deaf people may not know the natural language at all while many general people may not know how to communicate in sign language. Human interpreters are inefficient and there are not enough of them to make sure every personal communication can take place between the two communities of people.

  5. So the first question will be in our mind why we have chose Android as our platform. According to ‘Statista’ 1406.9 millions of smartphones will be sold worldwide run by Android operating system on 2022. So it will be a easier medium to communicate with general and deaf and mute people
  6. There are total 07 schools for the deaf and mute people in Bangladesh and Only one is run by the Government. For our research we have contacted with Dhaka badhir high school, they are serving since 1966 to the deaf community… we have collected their book based on basic sign language in Bangla.
  7. A. if some one chose keyboard option a keyboard will appeared on the screen; and there will be sign that are useful for word making. And then the word or sentence will convert into text.
