Conner s short story A Good Man is Hard to Find , that shows a southern family s death at the hand
of a ruthless murderer are both extremely good examples of southern gothic story. While both of
these great writers use southern gothic style they both still use it to demonstrate very different
aspects of southern culture. By comparing and contrasting these two great southern gothic style
writers you will be able to see just how different an author can write a story that still have the same
style of writing just by using a few different techniques. I will focus more on the how the works
achieve their effect, their insight into a human problem, their presentation of emotion and
consciousness, and their giving the reader pleasure.
The single most important aspect that defines southern gothic writing is the use of macabre, or
malformed, events. These distinguished events are easy identified in both of these short stories.

inform teaching for improved student learning. Whenever I begin a unit, I access NAPLAN
results to allow me to gauge my students ability and progress, and adapt my pedagogies
accordingly. I also use TORC testing and On Demand data to provide me with the information
required to ensure my students are able to understand and complete my common formative
tasks. I attempt to provide prompt, useful and constructive feedback to my students. I ask my
students to submit their work using Edmodo, where I can offer assistance and feedback outside
of class times. I present my students with an anonymous work survey using Survey Monkey,
where they have the opportunity to self assess their previous work. I did this, as I wanted to
understand how my students believed they were performing before I assessed them myself. I
gave all of my students a variety of assessment tasks and methods to give them and their parents
with evidence of what students knew and could do, and their particular strengths and weaknesses.
I was then able to report on how far students had progressed during the year, how they compared

Boondall Wetlands is currently managed by the local State Government, Brisbane City Council and

Phase I is the general education course that consists of nine classes SITE. I think my biggest
obstacles will be in this phase. This phase includes my biology classes, which means there is a
lot of memorization required for different bones, tissues, and organs in the body. These classes

In Scots law, there are generally two available self help remedies for material breach: retention and
rescission. Retention is the suspension of the innocent party s obligations (MacQueen, 2010) while
rescission is the termination of the contract for fundamental non performance; it is a remedy used
to bring a contract to an end so the party is no longer bound to carry out its obligations (Scottish
Law Commission, 2017).
The default position for termination of a contract is for the breach to be material (Turnbull v
MacLean Co, 1873). Without contractual expressions, the term material represents a situation in
which the debtor s activity undermines the basic purpose of the contract to such an extent as to
justify bringing the contract to an end (Scottish Law Commission, 2017). Turning a non material
breach to a material breach can be done through an ultimatum procedure or a summary declaratory
procedure (McBryde, The Scots Law of Breach of Contract: A Mixed System in Operation, 2010).
However, contracting parties can also treat breach as material when expressly provided, even if

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION The researchers conducted a survey among the Mass
Communication students of Far Eastern University to know whether Pinoy Big Brother: Teen
Edition 4 affects the students emotional and behavioral coping ability. There were 29

Korean exporting firms, we empirically find that currency position squaring firms have significantly
higher firm value. We also find evidence that these firms time the currency market when they

which is stimulated by market timing of corporate firms, short maturity dollar borrowings, real
