usage of materials and equiptments
hoe
The hoe wasusedfor clearingandremovingof weeds.
fork
The fork wasusedfor loosingthe soil.
wateringcan
The watering can was used to water the pop choi in the morning to keep the leaft fresh.
cutlass
The cutlass was used for cutting weeds.
napsack sprayer
The napsack sprayer wased to spray insecticide  fungicide on the crop.
seed box
The seed box was used for planting the pop choy seeds.
Fertilizer
The fertilizer NPK: 20-20-20+TE was used to fertilize the pop choy.
insecticidefungicide
The insecticidefungicide kocide was used to spray on the crop to prevent insect and fungi.
List of activity
Tray preparation
The tray was filled with potting soil mixture and one seed was sown in each
compartment so thinning-out of seeding is not required.
Land preparation
The soil was prepared to a find or medium tilth ; dig box drains ; make raised flat
– topped or combered beds 1m wide and 4m long; pen manure or compostinto
soil.
Transplanting
The seedlings were exposed to sunlight for 7-8 days. This is called hardening
which helps to strengthen the young plant so that they can withstand full sunlight
by the time they were ready to be transferred.
Transplanting of the seedling was carried out in the morning end late in the
evening from the scorching sun.
Application of fertilization
6lbs of 20-20-20 fertilizer as mixed in a 1,000 gallon tank and then feed through
the irrigation system to the pop choi.
Irrigation
This enhance the watering of plant, the pipes carry water to the rootof the pop
choi.
Mulching
Materials were placed on the soil surface around the baseof the plant such as dry
grass, leaf-moulds and plastic shaving to conserve soil water improves soil fertility
and controls weed growth.
Application of insecticidefungicide
1 tea spoonof kocide was mixed to a gallon of water in the knapsack sprayer and
was used to spray the pop choi to prevent the infestation of insect and fungi.
Weed control
A hoe was used to remove weed.
Reaping
The pop choi’s was reap properly and to be washed .
Marketing
The pop choywere cautiously prepared to be sold to consumers.
