CHARACTERISTICS
• Normally in Against The Current's video's they only have a
performance.
• This is slightly typical of this genre as the songs normally
have quite relatable lyrics and the artists in this genre aim
their songs towards teenagers so the songs talk about past
experiences. However, with the song being all performance
we are able to see the emotion from the song without the
need of a narrative.
3. RELATIONSHIP
• Lyrics and vocals:
• The lyrics of the song talk about being held up by gravity
when the world around you crumbles.
• In the song gravity becomes a person that can be relied upon
to hold the world together.
• Lyrics and visuals:
• The visuals are all performance but highlight the emotion of
the song through the bands body language and facial
expressions.

• The demands of the record label have created a need for lots
of close-ups and lots of focus on the band. This may also be
due to the fact that they do not have a very big fan base and
so the record label is trying to create an image for the band.
• A general motif that has appeared in their songs and videos is
breaking away and holding together through rough times.
