Explain The Six Fundamental Movements Of Major Body Segments
The six fundamental movements of major body segments are, abduction, extension, flexion, rotation,
adduction, and circumduction. Abduction is the movement of a body part away from the midline, an
example of that would be lateral raises using a dumbbell. Another example would be the lateral
shuffle. It targets the muscles of the thighs, hips, and buttocks. An extension movement would be the
return from flexion and an exercise for this would be leg extensions. An example of a flexion
movement is a hamstring stretch. Rotation is the circular movement of a body segment about a long
axis and an example is when a tennis player hits the ball backhanded. Adduction is movement of a
body part toward the midline. An example of this would be to use the

ATPAnd Cellular Respiration
1 ) What does ATP stand for?
ATP stands for adenosine triphosphate. It is a coenzyme that cells use to store energy. Also ATP is
present in all cell s cytoplasm and nucleus as well because it s vital for proper life functions in plants
and animals.
2 ) How many ATP molecules are produced by Cellular Respiration and by Fermentation?
By Cellular Respiration there are 38 molecules that can be made per oxidized glucose molecule: 2
from the Krebs cycle, 2 from glycolysis, and an average of 34 from the electron transport system. On
the other hand Fermentation is less efficient when using the energy from glucose , which is only 2 ATP
produced per glucose.

because it was only the president that courted the maraboutic elites and had a platform that suited rural

Mouridism and its integration into civil society
Mourides have a strong commitment to integrating Islam into the fabric of civil society. Mouride
leaders often intervene in civil conflict and regularly put legalism aside, favoring an appeal to mystical
discourses of transcendence. The final section of my paper will analyze additional ways Mouridism is
embedded into institutions of civil society composed of the mosque, the brotherhood, important events

Although the strenuous physical conditions of farm work in a Daara, as well as the relationship
between the talibe and marabout has attracted significant scholarly attention, it has largely been
misconstrued. As opposed to cruel exploitation of young men blinded by religious fervor, I will argue
that the induction of otherwise disenfranchised males into the brotherhood is a good remedy for youth
dislocation and dampens the disruptive effect of urbanization thus promoting political stability by
deterring civil unrest.
According to many civil conflict theorists, including Stathis Kalyvas, young people who are
physically dislocated from family, and without an occupation that can bring them economic stability
or social status are at risk of joining insurgency groups, since they are dissatisfied with their exclusion
from social respectability and blame it on political elites. While the young talibes of rural marabouts
are close to the bottom of Senegal s social hierarchy, their relationship with their marabouts offers
them opportunities to climb the social ladder that they would not have had otherwise. For instance,
talibes are usually given ownership of the farmland they worked on after their servitude ends and in
some cases; they are even given a wife. Such social and economic offerings make joining the Mouride
brotherhood quite appealing for young men with limited prospects. The sect also offers its disciples a
sense of fraternal belonging.

Essay on Wonder Woman
The Wonder Years Her mission is to bring love, peace, and sexual equality to a world torn by the
hatred of men. The heroine Princess Diana of Themyscira, more famously known as Wonder Woman,
has gone through various reimagining and different retellings in both media and comic books. But all
of these have the same basic origin. She was born and lived the majority of her life on the isolated
paradise island of Themyscira, an island inhabited entirely of Amazonian women. Everything changed
one day when pilot, Captain Steve Trevor crashed on the mysterious island. Soon after he crashed, as
he was being held and treated on the island, Queen Hippilyta held a tournament to decide who would
have the honor of escorting Captain Trevor back to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the 2009 movie she is not in need of a man or in love with Steve Trevor right off the bat, but instead
he earns her love by proving himself by helping in the hunt down Ares. She also does not stalk him
like the 1975 counter part but instead it s him following her around but instead of stalking her, helping
her; and in the end she is not in disguise from him as his assistant but instead in disguise from
everyone else but as a friend, or possibly his girlfriend because it is never clearly explained. Captain
Steve Trevor s 2009 character differs vastly in comparison to his 1975 counter part. In the 1975
adaptation he was merely a flat characterized damsel in distress who tried to act as a symbol of the
American ideal. But in the 2009 animated movie he was more fleshed out and given more
characterization and more of a major role in the plot. The 2009 version of Trevor was a witty, brave,
and a symbol of sexual equality. Also Steve Trevor in this movie more so acted as Wonder Woman s
sidekick in the fact that many of the times in which there was action they both worked cooperatively
to defeat any threat. In the 1975 movie, Steve Trevor never or rarely ever talked about sexual equality
while Wonder Woman talked more so like a feminist extremist. But in the 2009 animated movie, after
Wonder Woman keeps talking down about men and claiming Steve Trevor was a sexist, he had enough

The V-Chip Essay
The V Chip
What is a V chip? This term has become a buzz word for any discussion evolving telecommunications
regulation and television ratings, but not too many reports define the new technology in its fullest
form. A basic definition of the V chip; is a microprocessor that can decipher information sent in the
vertical blanking of the NTSC signal, purposefully for the control of violent or controversial subject
matter. Yet, the span of the new chip is much greater than any working definition can encompass. A
discussion of the V chip must include a consideration of the technical and ethical issues, in addition to
examining the constitutionally of any law that might concern standards set by the US government. Yet

The NTSC signal includes extra information space known as the subcarrier and Vertical blanking
interval. As explained in the quotation from Mr. Marquis, the V chips will use a certain section of this
space to send simple rating numbers and points that will be compared to the personality settings in the
chip. Many new technologies are being developed for smart TV or data broadcast on this part of the
NTSC signal. Basically the V chip will severely limit the bandwidth for high performance
transmission of data on the
NTSC signal. There is also to be cost to this new technology, which will be passed to consumers.
Estimates are that each chip will cost six dollars wholesale and must be designed into the television s
logic. The V chip could easily push the price of televisions up by twenty five or more dollars during
the first years of production. The much simpler solution of set top boxes allows control for those who
need it and allow those consumers who don t to save money and use new data technology. Another
cost will most definitely be levied to television advertisers for the upgrade of the transmitting
equipment. Weather the V chip encoding signal is added upstream of the transmitter or directly into
uplink units and other equipment intended for broadcast; this cost will have to compensated for in
advertising sales and prices. The V chip regulation may also require another staff employee at most
stations to effectively rate locally

How Do Smart Devices Affect Society
Smart devices have destroyed all generations but also helped. There are some side effects and causes to
why smart devices became smart devices.Questions to why we as people can t get a good night s
sleep. To long nights of bullying or sadness, or to just not knowing how to go to sleep. This is the side
effects and causes that might help you realize the struggle you put yourself into.
It all starts with you coming back from work or maybe an excellent party. Coming home from
boredom not knowing what to do next, you pick up that device right next to you.I hate to do this, but
admit it, you have phone anxiety. Weather picking up the phone waiting for a text, a call, or maybe
just a video game notification, we all experience this. Not being on your smart device can sometimes
make you feel like you are under pressure, make you feel as if someone was judging you, make you
feel compressed with social awkwardness, and just make you feel as if you are bullying yourself. That
constant battle if you should be on your smart devices depends on the person, where they are at, or just
if they feel comfortable in their own skin. They feel as if they were being pressured by some force of
nature, but in reality behind those devices people are getting depressed, drowsy, suicidal, bullied,
health problems would even worsen, etc. Everything s not ok, the world we know is changing upside
down, things that were once alright aren t anymore, because of one simple thing, Technology.

Daddy Long Legs Vs Spider Research Paper
Spiders V.S. Daddy Long Legs
For many years people have said that Daddy Long Legs are the most poisonous spiders in the world
but their fangs are not long enough to puncture a human s skin. I find them both equally creepy, but
have decided to find out the true differences between these hair raising, eight legged creatures. Spiders
and Daddy long legs are both arthropods and belong to the arachnid animal class. Although they may
look a lot alike, Daddy Long Legs are not spiders and in fact have several differences from the spider.
The first difference that can help with identification between these two arachnids are their body shape.
Spiders have two noticeable body segments; they are the rounded head section and the abdomen.
Meanwhile, looking at the Daddy Long Leg, it looks as if there is only one segment. It appears to have
one oval shaped body segment, but this is because the mid section is much wider and more difficult to
see. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Spiders usually have eight eyes; some have six or fewer, located on their face. Spiders may have more
than one set of eyes, but few have good eyesight. The average spider relies primarily on smelling,
touching, tasting and extreme sense of vibration to find their preys. Whereas, the Daddy Long Leg has
only one pair of eyes, which are located on the top of their heads, with a sideways positioning, so they
can look outward and above their heads. The Daddy Long Legs also have poor eyesight, and use their
longest legs as feelers as they wander about. They also secret a glue type substance to help capture

Anthropomorphism plays the role in the design of humanoid robots to improve the acceptance of
robots. 1. Three parts are included in the design of a humanoid robot: a physical shape, robotic
behavior, and social characteristics of a human. 2. The design of the robot and how it behaves is
important to how people perceive and interact with humanoid robots (Fink). B. The design of
humanoid robots goes back to the 1400s and have progressed with leaps and bounds with today s
humanlike features and functions. 1. The first humanoid robot was a drawing made by Leonardo Da

Difference Between Impressionism And Impressionism

Realism and Impressionism Art has progressed in many ways throughout history; two prominent
styles however that define the evolution of art are Realism and Impressionism. Realism is defined as
treatment of forms, colors, space, etc., in such a manner as to emphasize their correspondence to
actuality or to ordinary visual experience (realism). Two artists that are well known for this style of art
are Gustave Courbet and Jean François Millet. Impressionism is defined as a style of painting
developed in the last third of the 19th century, characterized chiefly by short brushstrokes of bright
colors in immediate juxtaposition to represent the effect of light on objects (impressionism). Claude
Monet and Pierre Auguste Renoir are pioneers of defining the Impressionist movement. These artists
use a variety of techniques, perspectives, subject matter, as well as influences to create the art we see
hanging in museums today. Realism is easily identified when we analyze the works of Gustave
Courbet and Jean François Millet. 19th century French painter Courbet is even known for creating the
term Realism. Courbet aspired to find liberty ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both of these art styles use similar subject matter such as landscapes and everyday life(Timmons). The
scenes are simply presented in a different way. All of the above artists use color and light to depict
shapes and give the viewer perspective yet color and light in both styles is used in an extremely
contradictory manner. Each of these art styles are meant to depict true forms of objects and how the
artist chose to interpret them is what defines each artform as a whole(Timmons). Realism is what we
see, Impressionism is how we see is how Joshua Timmons describes these movements in order to
provide a better understanding of how the artist has decided to represent the image they

A Streetcar Named Desire Compare And Contrast
A Streetcar Named Desire s original drafts were started in the early 1940s by playwright Tennessee
Williams, who prepared and tested numerous titles for the work. Eventually, the completed play
opened on December 3, 1947 in New York City staring Marlon Brando as Stanley Kowalski and
directed by Elia Kazan. This run of Streetcar lasted 855 performances until 1949 and won Williams a
Pulitzer Prize and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award. Later, in 1951, the film version was
adapted and stared Brando along side Vivien Leigh as Blanche with Kazan holding the seat as director

She spends most of the first scene talking down to Stella, mentioning that she looks as if she s put on
weight while praising herself for remaining the same size since they last saw each other. She dresses
in rhinestone crowns, fluffy bodices and pearl necklaces and earrings. Her wardrobe appears to be
filled with clothing that s either white or and pastels, colors that one easily associates with purity.
Yet, she is capable of manipulation and adept at spinning lies as clearly evidenced by her constant lies
about a Mr. Shep Huntleigh, who does not really exist, or her lies about being on a leave of absence.
This is also clear based on her manipulation of Mitch, played by Karl Malden, into making him fall
for her or her emotional manipulation of Stella. Beneath this façade, Blanche seems to be terrified of
losing control and terrified of reality. She spends a lot of the play and film sneaking drinks so that she
can calm her nerves and one could even argue that her manipulation is simply her creating a reality

Blanche struggles to maintain her glamorous façade and here in lies her greatest conflict; keeping up

Throughout my many years of living, I have experienced many near death experiences. Today, I will

11. School ended. My sister Gerryl and I were just picked up around 3:20 p.m. and arrived home

As my father was driving, my sister was explaining why she is so excited to watch the movie. My
sister then proclaimed, It s a movie that is based on the novel written by Suzanne Col . At that moment
my sister stopped midway through her conversation, pointing with fear at a motorcyclist having blood
gushing through his leg. The man glanced deep into my eyes, and I thought in my mind that will never
happen to me. It was a tragedy when I observed the accident, and I was acting a bit too conceited. Two
miles had passed the traffic from this accident was tremendous, a full stop. Luckily, my father spotted
in the corner of his pupil that the nearest lane to the sidewalk was accessible, and nobody was driving
on it surprisingly. We went ahead to move to the right, changing lanes carefully to reach the lane. At
that instant, my dad then increased speed to 45 miles per hour to get to the theatre slightly quicker. As
we were advancing through this lane at immense speed, a Toyota Civic with a brown tint then tried to
change lanes. My dad was furious that he did not want the car to cut him off when it was his right of
way. My dad then commented with a temper, No! Stomping on the gas pedal, he increased his
acceleration to a rushing 75 miles per hour to prevent the car from cutting us off. The car continued to
change lanes carelessly without a turn signal. At that moment, all I remembered was glass being
shattered everywhere. My heart then stopped, and I was whiplashed with massive force having my
head collide with the dashboard. Furthermore, all I saw was pitch black, and I did not know what was
happening. After six minutes have passed, I regained some consciousness, shaking my head and trying
to gain coordination with my eyes. All that I could hear is an old woman s voice with

Design and Culture
Design and Culture Abstract: Uses Design in a different way; but one must add that a universal
language is being constructed daily. design is understood here as a phenomenon which affects
everybody. design is characterized by a dual alliance with both mass production and mass
consumption and that these two phenomena have determined nearly all its manifestations .Industry
unconsciously evolved its own aesthetic, and this aesthetic was from the beginning one which
intelligent designers, whatever their background, tried to obey .

Like Janus, design looks in tow directions at the same time: as a silent quality of all mass produced
goods it plays a generally unacknowledged but vital role in all our lives; as a named concept within
the mass media, it is, however, much more visible and generally recognized. In this latter guise design
becomes an extension of marketing and advertising. The designer jeans phenomenon, which persuades
us to buy a product because it has been designed, is, culturally speaking, totally distinct from the
activity of the anonymous designers within industry who resolve the problems of cost, appearance and
use in consumer products. The way in which design as an adjunct of marketing has grown out of
design as an aspect of mass production is a major theme within the story of modem design and the
focus of this book. It is a change which directly mirrors the way in which the model of mass
production industry, as presented by Henry Ford, which dominated American ideas about industrial
organization in the early twentieth century, has been challenged by an alternative model which stresses
batch production, a smaller scale of operations (or set of operations), and, at times, a fair amount of

Good And Bad Manners
Manners, impact our lives every moment, yet you don t realize it. When you came into this world,
your parents told you hold the door for her , say thank you , sharing is caring , or something similar.
They tell you that so it looks like they raised you in the correct manner and so you can make a good
first impression. Well, let me tell you something, some people don t have act accordingly. In this
essay, I will tell you how our society influences our kids to act disrespectful and having poor manners.
You may ask, how has society influenced our children? Well, firstly society tries to tell them what is
good for them and what isn t. A school has a major influence on it. Kids nowadays are pressured to
make bad decisions, for example, bad manners. Children who want to be cool try to do things to be in
the cool kids group . They will try everything in their power to make the other kids notice them. But,
when they are noticed and get accepted, that s when everything goes downhill. Since they are in that
group, they ll do anything to stay in that group. If that group curse, they curse, if that group is smart
mouthed, their smart mouthed, if they steal, so do they. Just be yourself, trust me, the world will be a
better place if you be you.
Another thing that can trigger the bad manner bomb, is the internet. Yes, the internet. Even though it
may sound silly, but there are cases with kids having bad manners on there. For example, cursing. You

This is a relatively new development and there are few sources that present clear and readable
accounts of it. It is a reaction to the belief of postmodernists that Marx concentrated excessively on
production, at the cost of consumption.
Introduction
This concept, despite its variety of meanings and definitions, is used to refer to many aspects of social
life from musical forms and styles, literature and fine art through to philosophy, history and especially
the mass media. Post modernism is a slippery term that is used by writers to refer to several different

We have become disillusioned and no longer expect the world to become a better place.
Metranarratives have partly been discredited because, in an era of global media in which we learn
more and more about other peoples beliefs and lifestyles, it becomes less and less possible to regard
one lifestyle or one belief system as the true one .
Dominic Strinati
Strinati suggests that, post modern TV and film become preoccupied merely with surface style and
imagery, rather than deeper underlying themes, which might relate to the realities of the human
condition. Action blockbuster movies dwell on special effects, rather than strong plots and TV drama
departs from realist plots of the 1960 s (which attempted to look at serious issues such as
homelessness, Cathy Come Home and embraces a surreal world in which reality is often confused;
For example, Twin Peaks, or more recently The X Files and American Gothic. Kaplan (1987)
identified pop and rock videos as perfect examples of post modernist culture because they abandon all
notion of narrative structure there is no attempt to tell a story , rather the power of the rock video lies
purely in the collage of images mixed with music.

human. Finding out if an offspring has a genetic disorder can be determined by using basic genetics.
The Punnett Square, a diagram used to predict the results of a crossing or breeding of two species, can
determine the outcome of an offspring by using the genotypes of both parents. Pairing the genotypes
of both parents together can show the four different genotypes of offspring, two being female, and the
other two male. By using this method, parents can predict the probability of their child having a
genetic disease. Since most genetic disorders are recessive, if both parents have or are carriers of a
genetic disorder, the probability of their offspring having the disorder can range from twenty five to
one hundred percent.
Sickle Cell is a genetic disorder that affects red blood cells, causing them to become sickle, or
misshapen. This makes the hemoglobin in the red blood cell not able to move oxygen throughout the
body causing severe pain. Sickle Cell is genetic due to a person inheriting affected genes from their
parents, and both parents have to be carriers because the disorder is homozygous recessive. With two
carrier parents, the child has a twenty five percent chance of being unaffected, fifty percent chance of
being a carrier, and a twenty five percent chance of having Sickle Cell.
Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disorder that mainly affects the lungs and digestive system

God Of Small Things By Arundhati Roy
The God Of Small Things It s the smallest things in life which are most often overlooked and
sometimes completely ignored. In the novel The God of Small Things , Arundhati Roy presents
minute details about each character and how their lives are changed based on the societal norms in
India. Not only does Roy address the importance of small things , but she also gives the title The God
of Small Things to Velutha, an untouchable who is amongst the lowest social class of India according
to the caste system. Although Velutha s social status is practically worthless, him being given the title,
God of small things represents all the small things within the story that are overlooked. In a society
where big things such as information about social caste system, wealth, religion, political standings,
and marriage are important, Roy repeatedly emphasizes the small things having the most impact on
the characters within the story. Take Baby Kochamma, Comrade Pillai, and Velutha for example, the
society they live in are mostly concerned on social status and politics as opposed to important minute
details that shape the way they think. By making Velutha the god of small things, someone who s at
the bottom class structure in India, Roy shows that it is wrong to live accordingly to the ideas confined
by society.
An untouchable is a member of the lowest caste Hindu group, also known as a person outside of the
social class system. The Hindus believed untouchables are people

Juvenile Crime Solution
It may seem shocking that America has one of the highest crime rates per capita compared to other
similar industrialized nations. Over the years, there have been many discussions and efforts in order to
reduce this problem. Perhaps one of the more sensitive issues when discussing crime in America is the
problem of juvenile crime. Recently, juveniles make up 3% of all felonies committed each year and
6% of all violent crimes (criminamerica.net). These statistics have troubled politicians for decades as
they have worked to find a solution. Starting in 1994 the Clinton administration started putting stricter
punishment on juvenile offenders, but it was quickly realized that this harsh punishment may not be
the best solution. Various studies and programs put into action have shown that early prevention in a
child s life is much more effective and more cost efficient in reducing crime. Because of these efforts,
juvenile crime has reduced 68% since the violent boom of the 1990s. In light of these discoveries, it is
important for states to focus on these results in order to reduce crime. In the 1990s, as crime was
continuing to rise at a steady rate, American leaders soon realized they had a crisis on their hands. In
response to this, President Bill Clinton released a bill in 1994 aiming to take extreme action in
combatting crime. This bill included many actions such as increasing the amount of police officers,
more funding for cities law enforcement programs, and enforcing

Speech In Tamburlaine
In order to understand the treatment of the set speech in Marlowe s Tamburlaine it is necessary to
consider the play as a whole. In most of Marlowe s plays there is a central issue to which all
subsidiary issue are related. In Tamburlaine the central issue of the play is an idea. The representative
of this idea is the hero himself round whom the whole action and all the other characters revolve.
The characters of the plays written before Marlowe s time gave the impression that they would take
every opportunity for turning a given situation into an occasion for long and lively declamation and
the delivery of set speech. Yet, for Tamburlaine, the set speech is a condition of his existence. This
means that in what Tamburlaine is concerned there is a close relationship between the speaker and his
speeches.
Tamburlaine is a dramatic figure symbolising certain qualities. This idea is so powerful that it

In dialogues the individual utterances tend to be short, whereas in monologues they are generally
longer.
In Tamburlaine, Marlowe used this device in a different way. Instead of giving the neutral account of
the character s origin, name and nature, in Tamburlaine the self representation is informed in every
line by the individuality of this character. In previous plays, the monologue had usually combined its
expository function with that of reinforcing the moral of the whole play. In Tamburlaine is in a much
fuller sense a means of self expression because the moral in Tamburlaine is identified with the feelings
and wishes of the main character.
Tamburlaine s hyperbolical way of speaking is in proportion to the man himself, creating a personal

Stagecoach Movie Film Analysis
The western movie I pick is John Ford s movie Stagecoach (1939). The movie is about a group of
people traveling together by stagecoach from the town Tonto to Lordsburg. The people traveling
together are a diverse group of people. All of them have the specific motivation for going, but they all
share the same goal reaching to Lordsburg. The characters are Dallas who s a prostitute, Mrs. Lucy
Mallory who is the wife of the Army Cavalry officer, Ellsworth Henry Gatewood who is a banker,
Hatfield who is a gambler, Samuel Peacock who is whiskey salesman, Doc Josiah Boone who is a
alcoholic doctor, Buck Rickabaugh who is a stage driver, Marshal Curley Wilcox who is a marshal
riding shotgun, and Ringo Kid who is an escaped outlaw.

The cinematography is by Bert Glennon. The expectations for this film is that it has to be western
because it s the genre. The movie needs to have action and movement. And have a heroic character.
The expectations are high since a lot of people watch Western genre. I don t see any manipulation of
space and time.
The story formula for Stagecoach structures around characters in the Tonto and introducing the
characters, traveling to Lordsburg, stopping at Dry Fork way station for food and unforgettable dinner
table scene, traveling towards Apache Wells in the snow, Mrs. Mallory s baby born in Apache Wells,
finally getting to Lordsburg but got attacked by the Indians, and ended with Ringo Kid in a shooting
conflict. Stagecoach did a great job in the characters types. There are the protagonists, prostitute,
gambler, schoolmarm. These are the specific character types in Western movies. The setting of the
movie is on point. It s in the American West and takes place in the 1880s. The location of Monument
Valley is a favorite location for John Ford. The presentation of Stagecoach has many great exterior
shots that collocate the characters with the environment they occupy. The stars in Stagecoach does fit
in a Western movie. Like John Wayne, he stars in many Western movies. What makes Stagecoach a
western is the traditional western theme. Like the fight between whites and Native Americans. There
is a good use of the American West s open plains and mountains.

Cinematography Research Paper
The Importance of Cinematography
Without studying the details of film, one may ask what is cinematography. Cinematography is the art
of making motion pictures. There are many features that go on in making a film. A cinematographer
has a big role in making the film come together with certain camera movements and lighting elements.
Cinematography is one of the most important aspects of film. People should be more interested in
cinematography because there are so many intricate details that go into making a film special and that
is because of and camera angles and movements, color, and different types of shots.
When breaking down cinematography, a cinematographer should first analyze what he/she wants to do

Some of these shots include, extreme close up (ECU), medium shot (MS), establishing shot (ES), and

on a particular detail of a subject. In many cases, ECUs are very intimate and are best used cautiously.
Medium shot, also known as waist shot, is also what it sounds like. It is a shot from a medium distance
and includes the body from the knees or waist up. An establishing shot may be one that people aren t
as familiar with. An establishing shot is a usually long shot in film or video used at the beginning of a
sequence to establish an overview of the scene that follows (Merriam Webster). One other shot a
cinematographer should consider using is a long shot. A LS is a shot from a great distance, which
makes people seem to appear more like shapes then people. This type of shot is used to emphasize the

Book Of Mormon Evaluation
Shows Improvement: The more I study the Book of Mormon the more I understand that it was written
for us. Sometimes I feel like the characters of the Book of Mormon are out of touch or hard to relate
to, but in reality they represent every facet of modern society. They help us see the good in the world,
they help us see the evil in our lives, and ultimately warn us from the swaying philosophies of the
world that lead men into sin. When I read about Nephi and his brothers and the fights that they had, I
think about the relationship that I have with my brothers; when I read about Sherem and Nehor, I think
about the dangerous and volatile philosophies of men that justify sin and denounce the teachings of
Chirst; and when I read about Ammon and the Sons of Mosiah, I think about the missionaries that

Comparison Of Comic Books And World War II
Comic Books and World War II During World War II, every major country participated, typically by
supplying troops, supplies, and weaponry to one side. However, throughout the duration of the
conflict, one country in particular fought against their foes with a different weapon. The country was
the United States of America. The weapon: comic books, yes, comic books. Now popular for their big
screen adaptations, comic books have been circulated since the Great Depression and they played an
influential role in World War II. Through the course of the war, comics were used as propaganda, both
to slander the enemy and bolster morale back home. In those days, comics had been in existence for

Types Of Construction Artificial Intelligence
Many people today are excited at the thought of machines that can work as if they were human. Pure
fascination is driven by the idea of technology that is far beyond the average person s mind. This
intelligence being created can do monotonous jobs significantly faster than the average worker, go
places that are hard to reach, and think better and faster compared to humans. Businesses are thrilled
at the prospect of cutting down on their biggest cost, labor, and getting jobs done quickly and more
efficiently. But for the common, middle class, blue collar worker, it could mean a loss of wages and a
forced cross training into another field. In the wake of this extraordinary Artificial Intelligence within
the construction industry, there are winners and losers.
Types of Construction Artificial Intelligence Within the construction industry, Artificial Intelligence
(AI) is beginning to take jobsites by storm. If someone were to walk onto a jobsite today, someone in
that location would be using AI. Current uses of AI today span from mobile technology that
supervision uses to man a jobsite to an actual robot pouring concrete or welding a pipe. With the
technology improvements being made daily, there will be a day few people will consist of the
workforce on the job, and the rest will be some sort of robotics. Among the Artificial Intelligence
being used or that will be the future are: Drones/UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), SAM (Semi
Automated Mason), robotic welding, Autonomous TMA

Most of these cases are usually handled by International Arbitration or International Court. ASEAN
rarely gets involved due to their non involvement principles. Many had seen this as a failure within the
region and had even labelled ASEAN as toothless and lacking of clear mandate (Gil, 2014).
In this article, it will use the case of Singapore and Malaysia in studying how ASEAN solve
international law issues mainly, related to borders and boundaries among ASEAN state members.
Singapore and Malaysia had always have a unique relations among them. This is due to factors such
as geography, history, politics, ideology, economy, culture and ethnicity as well as interdependence

relations conflicts and tenses sometimes occurs between the two countries.
One of the conflicts that occurs between the two countries is the conflicts with regards to Pedra

Malaysia and 28miles of the shore of Singapore (Omar, n.d). Malaysia had first published a map in
1974 after their territorial sea was extended to 12n.m, it shows that the island was a part of Singapore
territories (Trost, 1993:28). However, Trost noted that the disputes began in 1979 when Malaysia had

Barrio Rising Book Report
Barrio Rising is a book about urban popular politics and the making of modern Venezuela. It portrays
the democracy and violence in Venezuela between the 1950s and the Bolivarian Revolution of 1998.
People who lived during these times protested about the unfair treatment they received from the
government. They acted out in violence, guerilla warfares, and protesting. Their main goal, in these
communities, was to have their voices heard and their demands met to their standards.
In the 1950s, Marcos Pérez Jiménez, the president, modernized Venezuela by building dozens of
superblocks in the capital, Caracas. These buildings housed several thousands of poor people without
jobs, health care, utilities, etc. With the unfinished business of dictator Marcos Perez Jimenez, who

A Surprising Number Of Problems Arise From Tight Hamstrings
A surprising number of problems arise from tight hamstrings and, given the frequency of knee injuries
among athletes and dancers, it s obvious that the methods used to keep them free could be better. This
article presents a more effective way to free your hamstrings, improve your performance, and avoid
injury.
A Look at Your Hamstrings
The hamstrings are the muscles that run from behind and below your knees up the backs of your
thighs to your sitbones . Soft tissue injuries, knee pain, torn menisci (the cartilage pads in your knees
that cushion the bones), chondromalacia patelli (painful wearing of the cartilage behind the kneecaps),
and poor posture often come from tight hamstrings. Tight hamstrings can prevent you from reaching

As you can see, hamstring tension has far reaching effects on movement, balance, and the health of
joints.
Why Stretching Doesn t Protect 100% Against Hamstring Pulls and Soft Tissue Injuries
Knowing all this, athletes and dancers attempt to stretch their hamstrings. Attempt is the correct word
because stretching produces only limited and temporary effects, which is one reason why so many
athletes (and dancers) suffer pulled hamstrings and knee injuries.
As anyone who has had someone stretch their hamstrings for them knows, forcible stretching is also
usually a painful ordeal. In addition, stretching the hamstrings disrupts their natural coordination with
the quadriceps muscles, which is why ones legs feel shaky after stretching the hamstrings.
Fortunately, there is a more effective way to manage hamstring tension than by stretching. To
understand how it works, one must first recognize that hamstrings that need stretching are usually
holding tension that is, they are actively contracting. In that case, the person is holding them tense by
habit, unconsciously. Oddly enough, if one tries to relax them, one is likely to find that one cannot;
one may then assume that the muscles are completely relaxed and need stretching. You may not
realize that those muscles are contracting on automatic due to postural habits stored in your central
nervous system. Any attempt to stretch them simply re triggers the impulse to re contract them to
restore

elementary, middle school, high school and even entering some colleges. Immunizations are believed
to protect children and even adults from infectious diseases. These immunizations help people protect
themselves and even others from these infections spreading to cause an epidemic, even a pandemic at
the worst. Many people stand with immunizations and believe that everyone should get the ones
required before entering the education system. Immunizations are great to prevent yourself and others
from getting diseases that could affect them for a lifetime. Vaccines such as the HPV can help prevent

The hatred and slander of women continued over this period of time. Women were considered to be
unclean, created by defect, only to service men, witches, and whores. They were not allowed in the
sanctuaries because they were considered unclean especially during there monthly cycle. Even today
women receive less pay for jobs that are not suited for their skills, they are not always the first choice
in any areas of political or social positions. The bases of keeping women out of the ministry in most
religions are more or less tradition. A Bible scripture such as (Mat. 10:2) as Jesus was searching for
His disciples he only chose men. Even when he had to replace them, He only chose men. In most of
the passages in the bible, Jesus never chose a woman nor did He address the public by speaking to the
woman specifically. Some would believe that Jesus was a sexist, but during the times it was only
tradition for a man to be the head of everything and the role of a woman during the biblical times were
to listen to the man, nurture her family and husband. During the biblical times when Jesus walked this
earth, Christianity was a very warous event. People were not accepting of the Christ therefore it leads
to wars and battles. (Mat. 24: 6). During those days women did not do battle. As of today the tradition
still holds and it plays a significant part in our everyday lives as well as our religious worship. We

Analysis of Discretionary Fiscal Policy Essay
During discretionary fiscal policy the government spends and taxes to change the economy during a
particular problem. Both Congress and the president have to take action when they agree that the
economy is in need. When they do this they are trying to simulate the economy during a time of
recession. Economists thought discretionary fiscal policy would eliminate the instability of the
recession, however most had given up on the idea by 1980.
The most noticeable discretionary fiscal policy is the discretionary budget. These are the expenditures
calculated in the United States budget that are within the appropriations bills. These are negotiated
between Congress and the president each year. This includes almost all the spending in the ... Show

There are three types of lags recognition lag, administrative lag, and operational lag. From those lags
you must determine if they were an attribute to the failure. Each lag takes time to notice. Recognition
lag measures the state of the economy. This is a resultant from GDP because its not measured neither
quick enough nor easily found. During administrative lag the president and Congress agree on a
course of action. Two legislative bodies must agree and then agree with the president. Congress doesn
t solve problems without any disagreement, and eventually over a period of time they will agree. The
last type of lag is operational lag, this takes time to notice the full impact of a government program or
tax change to have the effect on the economy. This offers the final block and even if both the
president, and Congress agree on time it still takes time for discretionary fiscal policy to have an
effect. The next part of the three fold is that failures can be a result from political motivations that
overwhelm some economic reasons. Finally, the third part of the three fold deals with the immediate
counter effects of the aggregate demand and aggregate supply, which this could either eliminate the
positive intent of the policies either partially or completely. Policy makers noticed in the 1970s that
discretionary fiscal policy couldn t stabilize the economy. The lags were just too important to ignore,
and the recession to be recognized, laws to

Superbowl Commercial Analysis
The Superbowl Commercial I thought was good was the one with Antman and the Hulk. In this
commercial Antman had a mini coke and the Hulk was chasing Antman for it. They both stopped on a

he could not get it open because his fingers were to big. Antman jumped onto the coke and opened it
for him. Antman took a drop of it from the air and drank it and the Hulk drank the rest. In this
commercial they were trying to get people to buy mini coke. The point of theis commercial is that no
one is to big to have a mini coke or a normal sized coke. I liked this commercial because I like the
Hulk and I think alot of other people do too. I think that they also could have used a regular coke also.

  • 2. Explain The Six Fundamental Movements Of Major Body Segments The six fundamental movements of major body segments are, abduction, extension, flexion, rotation, adduction, and circumduction. Abduction is the movement of a body part away from the midline, an example of that would be lateral raises using a dumbbell. Another example would be the lateral shuffle. It targets the muscles of the thighs, hips, and buttocks. An extension movement would be the return from flexion and an exercise for this would be leg extensions. An example of a flexion movement is a hamstring stretch. Rotation is the circular movement of a body segment about a long axis and an example is when a tennis player hits the ball backhanded. Adduction is movement of a body part toward the midline. An example of this would be to use the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This is clear because it was only the president that courted the maraboutic elites and had a platform that suited rural and maraboutic interests, who was able to be successful. Mouridism and its integration into civil society Mourides have a strong commitment to integrating Islam into the fabric of civil society. Mouride leaders often intervene in civil conflict and regularly put legalism aside, favoring an appeal to mystical discourses of transcendence. The final section of my paper will analyze additional ways Mouridism is embedded into institutions of civil society composed of the mosque, the brotherhood, important events in the Mouride ... Although the strenuous physical conditions of farm work in a Daara, as well as the relationship between the talibe and marabout has attracted significant scholarly attention, it has largely been misconstrued. As opposed to cruel exploitation of young men blinded by religious fervor, I will argue that the induction of otherwise disenfranchised males into the brotherhood is a good remedy for youth dislocation and dampens the disruptive effect of urbanization thus promoting political stability by deterring civil unrest. According to many civil conflict theorists, including Stathis Kalyvas, young people who are physically dislocated from family, and without an occupation that can bring them economic stability or social status are at risk of joining insurgency groups, since they are dissatisfied with their exclusion from social respectability and blame it on political elites. While the young talibes of rural marabouts are close to the bottom of Senegal s social hierarchy, their relationship with their marabouts offers them opportunities to climb the social ladder that they would not have had otherwise. For instance, talibes are usually given ownership of the farmland they worked on after their servitude ends and in some cases; they are even given a wife. Such social and economic offerings make joining the Mouride brotherhood quite appealing for young men with limited prospects. The sect also offers its disciples a sense of fraternal belonging. ... • 5. Essay on Wonder Woman The Wonder Years Her mission is to bring love, peace, and sexual equality to a world torn by the hatred of men. The heroine Princess Diana of Themyscira, more famously known as Wonder Woman, has gone through various reimagining and different retellings in both media and comic books. But all of these have the same basic origin. She was born and lived the majority of her life on the isolated paradise island of Themyscira, an island inhabited entirely of Amazonian women. Everything changed one day when pilot, Captain Steve Trevor crashed on the mysterious island. Soon after he crashed, as he was being held and treated on the island, Queen Hippilyta held a tournament to decide who would have the honor of escorting Captain Trevor back to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the 2009 movie she is not in need of a man or in love with Steve Trevor right off the bat, but instead he earns her love by proving himself by helping in the hunt down Ares. She also does not stalk him like the 1975 counter part but instead it s him following her around but instead of stalking her, helping her; and in the end she is not in disguise from him as his assistant but instead in disguise from everyone else but as a friend, or possibly his girlfriend because it is never clearly explained. Captain Steve Trevor s 2009 character differs vastly in comparison to his 1975 counter part. In the 1975 adaptation he was merely a flat characterized damsel in distress who tried to act as a symbol of the American ideal. But in the 2009 animated movie he was more fleshed out and given more characterization and more of a major role in the plot. The 2009 version of Trevor was a witty, brave, and a symbol of sexual equality. Also Steve Trevor in this movie more so acted as Wonder Woman s sidekick in the fact that many of the times in which there was action they both worked cooperatively to defeat any threat. In the 1975 movie, Steve Trevor never or rarely ever talked about sexual equality while Wonder Woman talked more so like a feminist extremist. But in the 2009 animated movie, after Wonder Woman keeps talking down about men and claiming Steve Trevor was a sexist, he had enough and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. The V-Chip Essay The V Chip What is a V chip? This term has become a buzz word for any discussion evolving telecommunications regulation and television ratings, but not too many reports define the new technology in its fullest form. A basic definition of the V chip; is a microprocessor that can decipher information sent in the vertical blanking of the NTSC signal, purposefully for the control of violent or controversial subject matter. Yet, the span of the new chip is much greater than any working definition can encompass. A discussion of the V chip must include a consideration of the technical and ethical issues, in addition to examining the constitutionally of any law that might concern standards set by the US government. Yet in the space provided for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The NTSC signal includes extra information space known as the subcarrier and Vertical blanking interval. As explained in the quotation from Mr. Marquis, the V chips will use a certain section of this space to send simple rating numbers and points that will be compared to the personality settings in the chip. Many new technologies are being developed for smart TV or data broadcast on this part of the NTSC signal. Basically the V chip will severely limit the bandwidth for high performance transmission of data on the NTSC signal. There is also to be cost to this new technology, which will be passed to consumers. Estimates are that each chip will cost six dollars wholesale and must be designed into the television s logic. The V chip could easily push the price of televisions up by twenty five or more dollars during the first years of production. The much simpler solution of set top boxes allows control for those who need it and allow those consumers who don t to save money and use new data technology. Another cost will most definitely be levied to television advertisers for the upgrade of the transmitting equipment. Weather the V chip encoding signal is added upstream of the transmitter or directly into uplink units and other equipment intended for broadcast; this cost will have to compensated for in advertising sales and prices. The V chip regulation may also require another staff employee at most stations to effectively rate locally ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To long nights of bullying or sadness, or to just not knowing how to go to sleep. This is the side effects and causes that might help you realize the struggle you put yourself into. It all starts with you coming back from work or maybe an excellent party. Coming home from boredom not knowing what to do next, you pick up that device right next to you.I hate to do this, but admit it, you have phone anxiety. Weather picking up the phone waiting for a text, a call, or maybe just a video game notification, we all experience this. Not being on your smart device can sometimes make you feel like you are under pressure, make you feel as if someone was judging you, make you feel compressed with social awkwardness, and just make you feel as if you are bullying yourself. That constant battle if you should be on your smart devices depends on the person, where they are at, or just if they feel comfortable in their own skin. • 10. Daddy Long Legs Vs Spider Research Paper Spiders V.S. Daddy Long Legs For many years people have said that Daddy Long Legs are the most poisonous spiders in the world but their fangs are not long enough to puncture a human s skin. I find them both equally creepy, but have decided to find out the true differences between these hair raising, eight legged creatures. Spiders and Daddy long legs are both arthropods and belong to the arachnid animal class. Although they may look a lot alike, Daddy Long Legs are not spiders and in fact have several differences from the spider. The first difference that can help with identification between these two arachnids are their body shape. Spiders have two noticeable body segments; they are the rounded head section and the abdomen. Meanwhile, looking at the Daddy Long Leg, it looks as if there is only one segment. It appears to have one oval shaped body segment, but this is because the mid section is much wider and more difficult to see. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 12. Difference Between Impressionism And Impressionism Emily Musick Erin Brabazon English Composition 31 January 2016 Realism and Impressionism Art has progressed in many ways throughout history; two prominent styles however that define the evolution of art are Realism and Impressionism. Realism is defined as treatment of forms, colors, space, etc., in such a manner as to emphasize their correspondence to actuality or to ordinary visual experience (realism). Two artists that are well known for this style of art are Gustave Courbet and Jean François Millet. Impressionism is defined as a style of painting developed in the last third of the 19th century, characterized chiefly by short brushstrokes of bright colors in immediate juxtaposition to represent the effect of light on objects (impressionism). Claude Monet and Pierre Auguste Renoir are pioneers of defining the Impressionist movement. These artists use a variety of techniques, perspectives, subject matter, as well as influences to create the art we see hanging in museums today. Realism is easily identified when we analyze the works of Gustave Courbet and Jean François Millet. 19th century French painter Courbet is even known for creating the term Realism. Each of these art styles are meant to depict true forms of objects and how the artist chose to interpret them is what defines each artform as a whole(Timmons). A Streetcar Named Desire Compare And Contrast A Streetcar Named Desire s original drafts were started in the early 1940s by playwright Tennessee Williams, who prepared and tested numerous titles for the work. Eventually, the completed play opened on December 3, 1947 in New York City staring Marlon Brando as Stanley Kowalski and directed by Elia Kazan. This run of Streetcar lasted 855 performances until 1949 and won Williams a Pulitzer Prize and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award. Later, in 1951, the film version was adapted and stared Brando along side Vivien Leigh as Blanche with Kazan holding the seat as director once again. She spends most of the first scene talking down to Stella, mentioning that she looks as if she s put on weight while praising herself for remaining the same size since they last saw each other. She dresses in rhinestone crowns, fluffy bodices and pearl necklaces and earrings. Her wardrobe appears to be filled with clothing that s either white or and pastels, colors that one easily associates with purity. Yet, she is capable of manipulation and adept at spinning lies as clearly evidenced by her constant lies about a Mr. Shep Huntleigh, who does not really exist, or her lies about being on a leave of absence. This is also clear based on her manipulation of Mitch, played by Karl Malden, into making him fall for her or her emotional manipulation of Stella. Beneath this façade, Blanche seems to be terrified of losing control and terrified of reality. She spends a lot of the play and film sneaking drinks so that she can calm her nerves and one could even argue that her manipulation is simply her creating a reality that she doesn t have to be so afraid of. Blanche struggles to maintain her glamorous façade and here in lies her greatest conflict; keeping up with her lies and not mixing reality and fantasy Blanche fails to discern between reality and fantasy and gets caught in her lies. Today, I will be sharing one of these experiences that I have been through. First of all, it was the March 23, 2012. It was a Friday. I, young Daryl, was still learning his basic math with a bowl cut on his head at the age of 11. School ended. My sister Gerryl and I were just picked up around 3:20 p.m. and arrived home approximately at 3:25 p.m. My sister Gerryl suggested with eagerness, Mom, Dad are we able to watch that new movie that just came out today, The Hunger Games? At that moment my sister stopped midway through her conversation, pointing with fear at a motorcyclist having blood gushing through his leg. The man glanced deep into my eyes, and I thought in my mind that will never happen to me. It was a tragedy when I observed the accident, and I was acting a bit too conceited. Two miles had passed the traffic from this accident was tremendous, a full stop. Luckily, my father spotted in the corner of his pupil that the nearest lane to the sidewalk was accessible, and nobody was driving on it surprisingly. We went ahead to move to the right, changing lanes carefully to reach the lane. At that instant, my dad then increased speed to 45 miles per hour to get to the theatre slightly quicker. As we were advancing through this lane at immense speed, a Toyota Civic with a brown tint then tried to change lanes. My dad was furious that he did not want the car to cut him off when it was his right of way. My dad then commented with a temper, No! Stomping on the gas pedal, he increased his acceleration to a rushing 75 miles per hour to prevent the car from cutting us off. The car continued to change lanes carelessly without a turn signal. At that moment, all I remembered was glass being shattered everywhere. My heart then stopped, and I was whiplashed with massive force having my head collide with the dashboard. Furthermore, all I saw was pitch black, and I did not know what was happening. Design and Culture Design and Culture Abstract: Uses Design in a different way; but one must add that a universal language is being constructed daily. design is understood here as a phenomenon which affects everybody. design is characterized by a dual alliance with both mass production and mass consumption and that these two phenomena have determined nearly all its manifestations .Industry unconsciously evolved its own aesthetic, and this aesthetic was from the beginning one which intelligent designers, whatever their background, tried to obey . Like Janus, design looks in tow directions at the same time: as a silent quality of all mass produced goods it plays a generally unacknowledged but vital role in all our lives; as a named concept within the mass media, it is, however, much more visible and generally recognized. In this latter guise design becomes an extension of marketing and advertising. The designer jeans phenomenon, which persuades us to buy a product because it has been designed, is, culturally speaking, totally distinct from the activity of the anonymous designers within industry who resolve the problems of cost, appearance and use in consumer products. The way in which design as an adjunct of marketing has grown out of design as an aspect of mass production is a major theme within the story of modem design and the focus of this book. It is a change which directly mirrors the way in which the model of mass production industry, as presented by Henry Ford, which dominated American ideas about industrial organization in the early twentieth century, has been challenged by an alternative model which stresses batch production, a smaller scale of operations (or set of operations), and, at times, a fair amount of ... In this essay, I will tell you how our society influences our kids to act disrespectful and having poor manners. You may ask, how has society influenced our children? Well, firstly society tries to tell them what is good for them and what isn t. A school has a major influence on it. Kids nowadays are pressured to make bad decisions, for example, bad manners. Children who want to be cool try to do things to be in the cool kids group . They will try everything in their power to make the other kids notice them. But, when they are noticed and get accepted, that s when everything goes downhill. Since they are in that group, they ll do anything to stay in that group. If that group curse, they curse, if that group is smart mouthed, their smart mouthed, if they steal, so do they. Just be yourself, trust me, the world will be a better place if you be you. • 21. Genetic Disorder And Genetic Disorders A genetic disorder is a disease that is caused by missing or abnormalities in the chromosomes of a human. Finding out if an offspring has a genetic disorder can be determined by using basic genetics. The Punnett Square, a diagram used to predict the results of a crossing or breeding of two species, can determine the outcome of an offspring by using the genotypes of both parents. Pairing the genotypes of both parents together can show the four different genotypes of offspring, two being female, and the other two male. By using this method, parents can predict the probability of their child having a genetic disease. Since most genetic disorders are recessive, if both parents have or are carriers of a genetic disorder, the probability of their offspring having the disorder can range from twenty five to one hundred percent. Sickle Cell is a genetic disorder that affects red blood cells, causing them to become sickle, or misshapen. This makes the hemoglobin in the red blood cell not able to move oxygen throughout the body causing severe pain. Sickle Cell is genetic due to a person inheriting affected genes from their parents, and both parents have to be carriers because the disorder is homozygous recessive. With two carrier parents, the child has a twenty five percent chance of being unaffected, fifty percent chance of being a carrier, and a twenty five percent chance of having Sickle Cell. In the novel The God of Small Things , Arundhati Roy presents minute details about each character and how their lives are changed based on the societal norms in India. Not only does Roy address the importance of small things , but she also gives the title The God of Small Things to Velutha, an untouchable who is amongst the lowest social class of India according to the caste system. Although Velutha s social status is practically worthless, him being given the title, God of small things represents all the small things within the story that are overlooked. In a society where big things such as information about social caste system, wealth, religion, political standings, and marriage are important, Roy repeatedly emphasizes the small things having the most impact on the characters within the story. Take Baby Kochamma, Comrade Pillai, and Velutha for example, the society they live in are mostly concerned on social status and politics as opposed to important minute details that shape the way they think. By making Velutha the god of small things, someone who s at the bottom class structure in India, Roy shows that it is wrong to live accordingly to the ideas confined by society. Over the years, there have been many discussions and efforts in order to reduce this problem. Perhaps one of the more sensitive issues when discussing crime in America is the problem of juvenile crime. Recently, juveniles make up 3% of all felonies committed each year and 6% of all violent crimes (criminamerica.net). These statistics have troubled politicians for decades as they have worked to find a solution. Starting in 1994 the Clinton administration started putting stricter punishment on juvenile offenders, but it was quickly realized that this harsh punishment may not be the best solution. Various studies and programs put into action have shown that early prevention in a child s life is much more effective and more cost efficient in reducing crime. Because of these efforts, juvenile crime has reduced 68% since the violent boom of the 1990s. In light of these discoveries, it is important for states to focus on these results in order to reduce crime. In the 1990s, as crime was continuing to rise at a steady rate, American leaders soon realized they had a crisis on their hands. In response to this, President Bill Clinton released a bill in 1994 aiming to take extreme action in combatting crime. Why Stretching Doesn t Protect 100% Against Hamstring Pulls and Soft Tissue Injuries Knowing all this, athletes and dancers attempt to stretch their hamstrings. Attempt is the correct word because stretching produces only limited and temporary effects, which is one reason why so many athletes (and dancers) suffer pulled hamstrings and knee injuries. As anyone who has had someone stretch their hamstrings for them knows, forcible stretching is also usually a painful ordeal. In addition, stretching the hamstrings disrupts their natural coordination with the quadriceps muscles, which is why ones legs feel shaky after stretching the hamstrings. Fortunately, there is a more effective way to manage hamstring tension than by stretching. To understand how it works, one must first recognize that hamstrings that need stretching are usually holding tension that is, they are actively contracting. In that case, the person is holding them tense by habit, unconsciously. Oddly enough, if one tries to relax them, one is likely to find that one cannot; one may then assume that the muscles are completely relaxed and need stretching. • 38. Superbowl Commercial Analysis The Superbowl Commercial I thought was good was the one with Antman and the Hulk. In this commercial Antman had a mini coke and the Hulk was chasing Antman for it. They both stopped on a buildings roof and the Hulk told Antman that he wanted it. Antman gave the mini coke to the Hulk and he could not get it open because his fingers were to big. Antman jumped onto the coke and opened it for him. Antman took a drop of it from the air and drank it and the Hulk drank the rest. In this commercial they were trying to get people to buy mini coke. The point of theis commercial is that no one is to big to have a mini coke or a normal sized coke. I liked this commercial because I like the Hulk and I think alot of other people do too. I think that they also could have used a regular coke also. I think this because now alot of people might just buy mini coke not regular coke. That might be a problem for them because they are now going to have to make another commercial for regular sized coke so that people start buying both. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I think they used the Hulk because the commercial is about mini coke and the Hulk is big. I also think they used this because most people know who the Hulk and Antman are. I think that because they used the Hulk and Antman it would get younger kids to watch and pay attition since some little kids like the Hulk. I think they used both the Hulk and Antman because if someone does not like the Hulk Antman is there so they can watch him and the other way around for the people who don t like Antman. Also if there are people who don t like neither Antman or the Hulk the commercial is about coke so that might also make them want to watch ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
