This document provides instructions for creating basic animations and adding effects in Adobe Flash Professional CS5.5. Key steps include: 1. Inserting keyframes on layers to mark where animations should start and stop over time. 2. Dragging and dropping images onto layers between keyframes to create movement or changes over multiple frames. 3. Adding effects like fading layers in and out using the alpha property under layer properties. 4. Creating motion between keyframes using classic tweening or motion presets to add movements like bouncing or waving.

First right click on the layer you want to start first which will be your background, right click and
insert key frame. Drag and drop the image from the right panel and place it were you want on the
plain white screen, which will be the area of where the animation will be. Press f5 to extend the time
of how long you want to see that layer for.
To do another layer create the key frame were you want to start seeing that image/layer and
continue the same process throughout to create different layers.

2. Select the whole of the layer you want to add an effect to, click on properties which is in the panel
on the right. Open the colour effect and out of the options select alpha. Change the alpha to zero
that layer should disappear. (Remember to create a key frame at the end to stop the effect).
Insert key frame at the start and finish on a layer to create the animation, the animation can start
any were on the time line ( as long as you remember to put a key frame at the start and finish of that
layer) then insert classic tween.

3. Create a key frame at start and end of that piece of animation. Right click and select create motion
tween setting allows us to put a motion on it such as smoke, bounce, wave and many more effects
are available. Click on the logo which looks like bubbles and you will get different motion options.
