Administrators applying technology to school

  • 2.  Administrators and teachers are front line instructors  Technology is always changing
  • 3.  Foster a safe environment for technology integration  Must work with the technology themselves becoming the pro in the school  Advocate to the teachers the benefits of technology
  • 4.  Showcase the technology to fellow faculty in meetings  Present in confidents the technology being used  Become the biggest cheerleader for your staff
  • 5.  Don't push technology to the stone age  Push to use online grading, attendance and lesson plans to build a base in confidence with teachers  Gather a team of teacher to learn new technologies in the classroom. (Your go to Team)
  • 6. Teachers that build experience with technology integration They are who you go to when seeking advice or to present to other teachers Other teachers get excited when they see them working with it.
  • 7.  Set up days for the “go to team” to present what they use  Allow for staff development days to build confidence  Then integrate time in the room for teacher to play with the technology
  • 8.  Allows for quick response  Different types of learning is hit  Classroom participation  Small group participation
  • 9.  Not wanting to change  Use of technology is inappropriate  Technology not used effectively
