This paper presents an adaptive fuzzy sliding mode controller (AFSMC) designed for enhancing the position control of permanent magnet linear synchronous motors (PMLSM). The proposed methodology combines fuzzy logic with sliding mode control to mitigate chattering effects and improve control accuracy and robustness against model uncertainties and external disturbances. Simulation results indicate that the AFSMC provides superior performance compared to traditional sliding mode control, achieving better dynamic response and stability in the PMLSM system.
