The ACM test bench controls test parameters like air flow, pressure, and temperature when operationally testing the EC70 air cycle machine. Various sensors measure temperatures, pressures, shaft displacement and more to ensure the air conditions match aircraft specifications. The test rig is designed for repeatable and accurate results and was approved by regulatory authorities.

3. The ACM test Bench is used to control test parameters while performing
operational testing on the EC70 air cycle machine. Three motor-operated
butterfly valves and two manuals control air flow through the ACM and
secondary heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is used to ensure exact
aircraft conditions are met for the ACM under test. Various sensors or
ports are available to read temperatures, pressures, shaft displacement
etc. by remote data system.
