Converting a Conventional Plant into an Advanced Anaerobic Digestion Plant

Sometimes it includes Combi treat unit, and this combi treat unit is a power saving as well as power generating sequential batch reactor technology. This technology has been studied and recommended by reputed Indian Research Institutions such as Indian institute Technology and numerous consultants in the field. Attention has to be paid to the fact that suspended solids are always present in the effluent.

Converting a Conventional Plant into an Advanced Anaerobic Digestion Plant
This document summarizes the Mapocho wastewater treatment plant project in Santiago, Chile. It discusses converting the existing plant into an advanced anaerobic digestion facility using thermal hydrolysis. The plant was expanded in two phases from 1.6 million people equivalent in 2010 to 3.2 million in 2018. Key areas of impact included water use, water pollution, and delivering against environmental targets for water efficiency and reducing water wasted at stressed locations. New technology implementations at various distillery locations achieved significant reductions in carbon emissions, process wastewater recycling, and reductions in effluent pollution. Cameronbridge's planned upgrades are expected to avoid 56,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually while recycling 30% of process wastewater and eliminating effluent pollution. Collective action through water industry roundtables and partnerships is needed to holistically address water challenges and decouple business growth from water impacts through innovation and new collaborative solutions.
