2. I: Introduction
Science and Mathematics month is celebrated every September. It is a month-long celebration
wherein Science and Math enthusiasts are enjoined to observe. This year’s theme is “Symbiosis of
Knowledge: Unleashing the Power of Math, Science and Technology”. SciMath Month celebration seeks to
demonstrate to the students and teachers the importance and relevance of Science and Math to the future
development of our society and economy. It seeks to offer great range of events and activities that will
motivate people to engage with Science and Math at home, in the classroom and at work.
Science and Math can help to answer the what, the why and the how, while also revealing new
questions. It is a problem-solver, helping to crack everyday challenges. Science and Math Month is an
opportunity to investigate what is possible.
II. Objectives
1. Manifest awareness on the importance of celebrating “SciMath Month”.
2. Provide opportunities for the learners and teachers engage into productive, meaningful and
effective activities that promote
awareness, interest and involvement of everyone in Science and Mathematics
3. Harness the knowledge, skills and values of teachers, coordinators, and Science and Math
enthusiasts to cope with and apply the developments and advancements in Science and
Mathematics.
4. Show cooperation, sportsmanship, and camaraderie on students in every contest they participate
in.
5. Appreciate learners’ outputs/performances that show significant impact in everyday lives.
