Just imagine...the invitation arriving in the mail, it was no ordinary invite. The days of physical misery
and suffering that lead up to this final celebration of life were unbearable to watch. Having a
terminally ill family member is hard because you know the days, weeks and months are numbered.
Quality of life, what is that anyway? Each passing hour has the quality of life diminishing to
unimaginable physical pain and anguish. Watching someone you love slip away and turn into a shell
of who they once were is unbearable. This invitation is special. This special day and every precious
hour will give the loved ones a time to say goodbye just before they die with dignity in physician
assisted suicide. Terminally ill patients have the right to end their own lives using physician assisted
suicide (PAS) without repercussions of laws and people with opposing opinions.
According to an article from CNN.com, there are currently five states in the U.S. where physician
assisted suicide is currently legal. In order to be eligible legally for PAS the patient must have six
months or less to live. In the states of Oregon, California, Vermont, Washington and Montana a
physician can prescribe medications to move along the death without being prosecuted for murder.
It is hard to know the correct statistics on just how many physician assisted suicides happen across the
U.S. Since it is illegal in the majority of the states it is not something that is reported because those

The worldwide demand of energy has been increasing considerably. Up to 2030, it is supposed to be
60% higher than today (B. SCHMITZ, 2013). Currently, non renewable energy sources, like coal and
oil, are more commonly used, since they are cheaper than renewable energies. In the European Union,
80% of the energy consumption demands are covered by fossil sources (B. SCHMITZ, 2013). But,
non renewable energy sources are running out and they are also very harmful for the environment,

Household chores like doing the laundry, cleaning the utensils, taking care of children and making
food is always done by women. If both, husband and wife are working, it is always the woman doing

are different from the objects and people around them physically. There are many ways that people
can feel a sense of self identity or association within a group. People could identify themselves as
something small, like the town they are from or the school they attend. Or they could identify as a
bigger group of people like their religious beliefs and nationality. This paper will look at Frankenstein
as a Bildungsroman and the way that people in Europe during the nineteenth century could gain
