Reflective Paper As I reflect on English Comp II 112, I have a variety of mixed emotions about this. I
was unsure of the class at first, for many reasons. My very first day I remember leaving the J off my
professor s name and I just knew it would be a downward spiral after that. To me, writing was
something I loved to do but I had a difficult time putting my thoughts into words and organizing my
paper. Usually, once I typed my introduction I thought my thoughts would just flow from that point,

Abstract
The purpose of this experiment was to find out if an adults could pass a middle school science test.
My hypothesis was that the 20 39 year old age group would have the highest average test score. To
determine this I had adults, in the age ranges of 20 39, 40 59, and 60+, take a 12 question middle
school science test. The results proved my hypothesis right because the 20 39 year olds age group had
the highest average test score. The 60+ age group had the second highest average test score and the 40
59 year old age group had the lowest average test score. The independent variables are the ages of the
adults, which are (20 39), (40 59), (60+). The dependent variable is the grade the participant gets on
the test based on the answer sheet for the test. The controlled variable is the 12 question middle school

Photosynthesis is a process in plants, algae, and some prokaryotes, that coverts solar insulation into
chemical energy stored in glucose or other organic compounds. Photosynthesis occurs in slightly

Pioneering Psychologist Stanley Milgram once said, Ordinary people, simply doing their jobs, and
without any particular hostility on their part, can become agents in a terrible destructive process.
Obedience is like a narcotic; under its influence, even a strong willed person can do horrible things to
others without a second thought. The only way a member of society submitting to powerful authority
can escape being obedient is to live completely isolated. Subjects usually follow the orders given by a
leader without a second thought, with many going the extra mile despite the mental and physical harm
they could cause others. In order to satisfy an authority figure, people are willing to hurt mentally,
abuse physically, or even murder others in cold blood because humans are born with the urge to
comply an authoritarian figure.
This behavior is well represented and tested in Professor Stanley Milgram s experiment on obedience
to authority figures conducted in 1961 to 1963 at Yale University. In this experiment Milgram got
several participants to be teachers and students. Then made the teachers to ask the students questions,
and shock the students every time they got an answer wrong. The shocks given to the the students got
stronger for each answer, and the maximum shock at 450 volts was deadly. The students were actually
just actors who acted as if they were getting shocks, but actually they did not get any shock. This
