• Advanced Portfolio in Media (50%) Coursework
• Critical Perspectives in Media (50%) exam:
• Induction – Watch the film pride and then talk about working
class identity in the film.
• Then you make a 2-3 minute radio interview ad you edit it on
garage band.
A2 media
• Make a 5 minute opening of a TV documentary(groups of 3 )
• Make a Radio Trailer for the documentary
• A feature for a listings magazine on your documentary
The questions that must be addressed in the evaluation are:
• In what ways does your media product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
• How effective is the combination of your main product and
ancillary texts?
• What have you learned from your audience feedback?
• How did you use new media technologies in the construction
and research, planning and evaluation stages?
• Evaluation, research and planning are shown through a
blog
• Then you look at representation of working class
characters in British film and TV
• Skills Development
• Theoretical Evaluation of Production
• Question 1- requires students to describe and evaluate the
development of their skills from the first year.
• Will ask you to focus on one or two of the following :
• -digital technology
• Creativity
• Research and planning
• Post production
• Using conventions of real media text
• Question 2- will focus on:
• Genre
• Narrative
• Representation
• Audience
• Media language
You can base it on either A2 or AS
• Passive audience- they believe what the media presents to
them and don’t give their own views
• Active audience- question what they are being shown by the
media instead of taking In everything they are shown.

Everybody thought that the sound levels were good but someone
said that the clips that were added in could've been a bit louder.
