Y13 A2 Pre Production Synopsis of music video concept / idea (Description of your music video themes) Starts as scenery shots with revolving camera over to the character Drug addiction Violent nature Psychological alterations and unpredictability Alterations in visual effects My idea revolves around the convention in UK Hip-Hop being drug abuse, the main character will be an isolated man with a heavy drug addiction of which effects his attitude and persona with each artists singing being a new persona with different emotions. To represent a new persona the use of coloured contact lenses and a sudden change in location with alterations in visual effects with new colour schemes. This will make my music video a conceptual piece with elements of performance and a narrative following the lyrics to some degree. From my research conceptual features are often used in the music videos meaning I have a wide array of different ideas I can implement. I will mainly be looking at the schizophrenic impacts of drug abuse to the main character from isolation, depression and anger prominent.
