has been discussed, which integrates novel highly integrated SiGe chipsets.
Taking into consideration the target applications for helicopter obstacle
warning, a set of requirements that should be met has been identified and a
suitable OFDM radar configuration and system setup has been described, for
both digital and RF antenna frontends. Finally, a complete OFDM MIMO radar
MATLAB test environment with flexibility in the design of the OFDM waveform,
antenna array and target allocation in a channel scenario has been presented.
The concept has been proven with MATLAB simulations and since FFT and IFFT
processes are primarily used, it is flexibly hardware implementable.
Performance estimation is given with an indication that the intended
parameters would be sufficient for the real-time radar demonstrator
implementation and its uses.

The simulation results show that the best performing system is LDPC coding with a rate of 1/3, 16-APSK modulation, a codeword length of 16,200 bits, and 50 iterations for decoding over the rainy channel model.

Energy Efficient GPS Acquisition with Sparse-GPS
Following rising demands in positioning with GPS, low-cost receivers are becoming widely available; but their energy demands are still too high. For energy efficient GPS sensing in delay-tolerant applications, the possibility of offloading a few milliseconds of raw signal samples and leveraging the greater processing power of the cloud for obtaining a position fix is being actively investigated.
In an attempt to reduce the energy cost of this data offloading operation, we propose Sparse-GPS: a new computing framework for GPS acquisition via sparse approximation.
Within the framework, GPS signals can be efficiently compressed by random ensembles. The sparse acquisition information, pertaining to the visible satellites that are embedded within these limited measurements, can subsequently be recovered by our proposed representation dictionary.
By extensive empirical evaluations, we demonstrate the acquisition quality and energy gains of Sparse-GPS. We show that it is twice as energy efficient than offloading uncompressed data, and has 5-10 times lower energy costs than standalone GPS; with a median positioning accuracy of 40 m.

In the present thesis, the concept for beyond 3G mobile radio systems is described. A service area concept is introduced in order to combat the performance limiting interferences present in the cellular mobile communication systems, with each service area consisting of a various simultaneously active mobile terminals, a number of fixed access points and a central unit per- forming signal processing. About uplink transmission, the main characteristic of this service area system is that with the aid of joint detection of the transmit signals from the mobile ter- minals performed at uplink transmission, all interferences between the simultaneously active mobile terminals using the same bandwidth is drastically reduced. Moreover the use of OFDM subcarrierwise in the described service area based system allows for intersymbol interference free communication and for simple equalization in the frequency domain.
Through this subcarrierwise equalization the service area based system is equivalent with a number of smaller parallel systems, a fact that affects in a reduced computational complexity in the case of optimum multiuser operating with the maximum likehood principle and subop- timum linear detector zero-forcing. In this thesis the parallel interference cancellation detector is introduced, according to which the multi access interference is iteratively reconstructed and subtracted from the received signal. Parallel interference cancellation detector is compared in terms of performance with suboptimum linear detector, due to the reduced computational com- plexity.
Using standardized COST 207 channel models, the performance of parallel interference can- cellation detector compared with suboptimum linear detector has been investigated for a frozen channel, with the same snapshot using the same parameters of the channel, as well as for a number of system loads. A fact that can be observed in simulations results is that parallel in- terference cancellation detectors could achieve the same performance with a reduction of the complexity as suboptimum linear detector zero-forcing in the case of no estimate refinement and with estimate refinement by hard quantization depending on the load system. With esti- mate refinement by soft quantization the performance of the parallel interference cancellation detector is improved, having better performance than zero-forcing detector in cases with nor- mal load. Moreover with the improvement raised in this thesis, in this normal system load, the performance is more improved. On the other hand in the case of full load system, the PIC detector can not substract all the multi access interference producing error flow, this thing is not too important taking in account that the fully loaded system case should not be never present.PhD_Presentation_v1

Dynamic Beamforming Optimization for Anti-Jamming and Hardware Fault Recovery
In recent years there has been a rapid increase in the number of wireless devices for both commercial and defense applications. Such unprecedented demand has increased device cost and complexity and also added a strain on the spectrum utilization of wireless communication systems. This thesis addresses these issues, from an antenna system perspective, by developing new techniques to dynamically optimize adaptive beamforming arrays for improved anti-jamming and reliability.
Available frequency spectrum is a scarce resource, and therefore increased interference will occur as the wireless spectrum saturates. To mitigate unintentional interference, or intentional interference from a jamming source, antenna arrays are used to focus electromagnetic energy on a signal of interest while simultaneously minimizing radio frequency energy in directions of interfering signals. The reliability of such arrays, especially in commercial satellite and defense applications, can be addressed by hardware redundancy, but at the expense of increased volume, mass as well as component and design cost.
This thesis proposes the development of new models and optimization algorithms to dynamically adapt beamforming arrays to mitigate interference and increase hardware reliability. The contributions of this research are as follows. First, analytical models are developed and experimental results show that small antenna arrays can thwart interference using dynamically applied stochastic algorithms. This type of in-situ optimization, with an algorithm dynamically optimizing a beamformer to thwart interference sources with unknown positions, inside of a anechoic chamber has not been done before to our knowledge. Second, it is shown that these algorithms can recover from hardware failures and localized faults in the array. Experiments were performed with a proof-of-concept four-antenna array. This is the first hardware demonstration showing an antenna array with live hardware fault recovery that is adapted by stochastic algorithms in an anechoic chamber. We also compare multiple stochastic algorithms in performing both anti-jamming and hardware fault recovery. Third, we show that stochastic algorithms can be used to continuously track and mitigate interfering signals that continuously move in an additive white Gaussian noise wireless channel.

This document summarizes research on positioning accuracy for cooperative intelligent transport systems. It discusses how GPS alone cannot satisfy the high-accuracy positioning needs of safety-critical applications in certain environments. New positioning algorithms are being developed that integrate GPS with other sensors and vehicle-to-vehicle communication using DSRC. Current research includes developing techniques for collaborative positioning based on radio range, range-rates, and non-radio ranges. Evaluation of collaborative positioning datasets shows improvements over standalone GPS/INS of up to 60% in positioning accuracy. Implementation of Low Complex Universal Filtered Multicarrier
In 5G technology for enhancing the high speed data process the Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC), Universal Filtered multicarrier (UFMC), and Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM) techniques are used in effective manner. The FIR filter plays an important role in 5G mobile communication technology. In this paper, the hardware complexity reduced by using the FIR filter. In previous technique, 73 multipliers are required to the filtering process. Here to reduce the number of multipliers by using the multiplexers. The 73 multipliers to be replaced with the 5 number of 16:1 multiplexers, 5 multipliers and 4 registers. The Multiple Constant Multiplication (MCM) scheme is also presented for the block implementation FIR filters. Reducing the memory usage for using the less number of multipliers. Use the less number multipliers the difficulties are to be reduced. The overall implementation has a result of 42% reduction in hardware complexity.

In this proposal, synchronization mismatch is compensated by estimating the amount of drifting and cancel it out at the RAU. The bit error ratio (BER) performance is evaluated by using computer simulation.

In the present thesis, the concept for beyond 3G mobile radio systems is described. A service area concept is introduced in order to combat the performance limiting interferences present in the cellular mobile communication systems, with each service area consisting of a various simultaneously active mobile terminals, a number of fixed access points and a central unit per- forming signal processing. About uplink transmission, the main characteristic of this service area system is that with the aid of joint detection of the transmit signals from the mobile ter- minals performed at uplink transmission, all interferences between the simultaneously active mobile terminals using the same bandwidth is drastically reduced. Moreover the use of OFDM subcarrierwise in the described service area based system allows for intersymbol interference free communication and for simple equalization in the frequency domain.
Through this subcarrierwise equalization the service area based system is equivalent with a number of smaller parallel systems, a fact that affects in a reduced computational complexity in the case of optimum multiuser operating with the maximum likehood principle and subop- timum linear detector zero-forcing. In this thesis the parallel interference cancellation detector is introduced, according to which the multi access interference is iteratively reconstructed and subtracted from the received signal. Parallel interference cancellation detector is compared in terms of performance with suboptimum linear detector, due to the reduced computational com- plexity.
Using standardized COST 207 channel models, the performance of parallel interference can- cellation detector compared with suboptimum linear detector has been investigated for a frozen channel, with the same snapshot using the same parameters of the channel, as well as for a number of system loads. A fact that can be observed in simulations results is that parallel in- terference cancellation detectors could achieve the same performance with a reduction of the complexity as suboptimum linear detector zero-forcing in the case of no estimate refinement and with estimate refinement by hard quantization depending on the load system. With esti- mate refinement by soft quantization the performance of the parallel interference cancellation detector is improved, having better performance than zero-forcing detector in cases with nor- mal load. Moreover with the improvement raised in this thesis, in this normal system load, the performance is more improved. On the other hand in the case of full load system, the PIC detector can not substract all the multi access interference producing error flow, this thing is not too important taking in account that the fully loaded system case should not be never present.PhD_Presentation_v1

Dynamic Beamforming Optimization for Anti-Jamming and Hardware Fault Recovery
In recent years there has been a rapid increase in the number of wireless devices for both commercial and defense applications. Such unprecedented demand has increased device cost and complexity and also added a strain on the spectrum utilization of wireless communication systems. This thesis addresses these issues, from an antenna system perspective, by developing new techniques to dynamically optimize adaptive beamforming arrays for improved anti-jamming and reliability.
Available frequency spectrum is a scarce resource, and therefore increased interference will occur as the wireless spectrum saturates. To mitigate unintentional interference, or intentional interference from a jamming source, antenna arrays are used to focus electromagnetic energy on a signal of interest while simultaneously minimizing radio frequency energy in directions of interfering signals. The reliability of such arrays, especially in commercial satellite and defense applications, can be addressed by hardware redundancy, but at the expense of increased volume, mass as well as component and design cost.
This thesis proposes the development of new models and optimization algorithms to dynamically adapt beamforming arrays to mitigate interference and increase hardware reliability. The contributions of this research are as follows. First, analytical models are developed and experimental results show that small antenna arrays can thwart interference using dynamically applied stochastic algorithms. This type of in-situ optimization, with an algorithm dynamically optimizing a beamformer to thwart interference sources with unknown positions, inside of a anechoic chamber has not been done before to our knowledge. Second, it is shown that these algorithms can recover from hardware failures and localized faults in the array. Experiments were performed with a proof-of-concept four-antenna array. This is the first hardware demonstration showing an antenna array with live hardware fault recovery that is adapted by stochastic algorithms in an anechoic chamber. We also compare multiple stochastic algorithms in performing both anti-jamming and hardware fault recovery. Third, we show that stochastic algorithms can be used to continuously track and mitigate interfering signals that continuously move in an additive white Gaussian noise wireless channel.

A robust doa–based smart antenna processor for gsm base stations

Implementation of Low Complex Universal Filtered Multicarrier
In 5G technology for enhancing the high speed data process the Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC), Universal Filtered multicarrier (UFMC), and Generalized Frequency Division Multiplexing (GFDM) techniques are used in effective manner. The FIR filter plays an important role in 5G mobile communication technology. In this paper, the hardware complexity reduced by using the FIR filter. In previous technique, 73 multipliers are required to the filtering process. Here to reduce the number of multipliers by using the multiplexers. The 73 multipliers to be replaced with the 5 number of 16:1 multiplexers, 5 multipliers and 4 registers. The Multiple Constant Multiplication (MCM) scheme is also presented for the block implementation FIR filters. Reducing the memory usage for using the less number of multipliers. Use the less number multipliers the difficulties are to be reduced. The overall implementation has a result of 42% reduction in hardware complexity.

Radio on Fiber-Distributed Antenna System (RoF- DAS) is known to improve coverage and performance of wireless communications. Currently, various multiplexing schemes in RoF-DAS for transport Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) signals in a fiber link are studied. The RoF-DAS over Wave- length Division Multiplexing - Passive Optical Network (WDM- PON) with optical Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) is actively researched. This system uses optical switcher to multiplex a set of MIMO radio signals in a fiber and transfer to the Remote Antenna Unit (RAU). Since a pair of switches multiplex and demultiplex MIMO radio signals, two switches are required to synchronize completely. Therefore, there is a problem that high performance switches are required to perform the clock extraction. This paper proposes asynchronous optical TDM. In this proposal, synchronization mismatch is compensated by estimating the amount of drifting and cancel it out at the RAU. The bit error ratio (BER) performance is evaluated by using computer simulation.

Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) Ship Detection System SDS is an important application from the point of view of Maritime Security monitoring. It allows monitoring traffic, fisheries, naval warfare. Since full-resolution SAR images are heavily affected by the presence of speckle, ship detection algorithms generally employ speckle reduced SAR images at the expense of a degradation of the spatial resolution. The proposed Parzen-window-kernel-based algorithm and CFAR algorithm can be considered an alternative to manual inspection for large ocean areas. Promising results and high detection rates for the ships have been achieved. In Parzen-window-kernel-based algorithm for ship detection in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images, first, the data-driving kernel functions of Parzen window are utilized to approximate the histogram of real SAR image, in order to complete the accurate modeling of SAR images. Then ship detection is implemented using a Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR). After detecting threshold, the output is added to edge detection algorithm employed on SAR image. Clearer detection of ship candidates is obtained by applying Parzen-window-kernel-based algorithm by changing its window size. Experimental results show that SDS implemented using CUDA is faster than on CPU.

This document describes a digital down converter (DDC) implemented on a Xilinx FPGA Virtex-5 device. The DDC allows a received intermediate frequency (IF) signal to be down converted to baseband. It uses a direct digital synthesizer to generate sine and cosine signals to mix with the input samples in a mixer, producing in-phase and quadrature signals. These pass through a low-pass filter to reject images and yield a complex baseband representation of the original signal. IRJET- Design and Analysis of Passive Multi-Static Radar System
This document presents a new algorithm for passive multi-static radar detection called Range-Doppler Transformation. The algorithm relies on large networks of inexpensive radar receivers to detect targets. It transforms target detections in the Range-Doppler domain at each receiver into ellipses in the spatial domain. These ellipses are intersected and the point of highest consensus is identified as the target location. The algorithm is more accurate, robust to synchronization errors, and has better time complexity than current passive radar detection methods. It was tested in simulations with medium success at locating targets within error bounds of the simulation.

Classification becomes one of the important elements in the forward scatter radar (FSR) micro-sensors network. This classification performance is dependent on the target’s profile behaviour and the network’s surrounding; and one of the factors that cause the reduction of classification probability is the presence of ground clutter. As the volume of clutter increases, their masking effect becomes greater and may result in more significant errors in target classification. Hence, to reduce misclassification in the FSR sensor network, a new clutter reduction technique based on the ground clutter model is proposed. Simulated ground clutter is modeled based on the estimated signal to clutter ratio (SCR) of the received signal. The clutter effect is diminished by eliminating simulated like-clutter from the receiving signals. The result shows improvement in the classification accuracy, especially for the minimum value of the SCR and this new technique uses only one database which will shorten the processing time and reduce the overall database’s size.

UAVs have been operating since 1996 in Indian Armed Forces . Although there is a huge limitation in the development of the communication system for a wireless HD video and data telemetry link for real time surveillance in BVLOS operations.. What are the main components required for the basic transmission of video and data link? What are the parameters on basis of which such link should be feasible for long range communication? This paper focuses on integration aspects and comparison of the components and its parameters by conducting tests on a UAV set-up.

A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.

L (, +91 – 9791938249) MAIL ID: sunsid1989@gmail.com, praveen@nexgenproject.com Web: www.nexgenproject.com, www.finalyear-ieeeprojects.com A SYSTEM CONCEPT FOR A 3D REAL-TIMEOFDM MIMO RADAR FOR FLYING PLATFORMS ABSTRACT In this paper a new system concept for a low cost, miniaturized and real-time imaging radar system for flying platforms is presented. The proposed solution is based on the MIMO radar architecture, orthogonal signals for simultaneous transmit capabilities and highly integrated SiGe chipsets. Using beamforming techniques at the receiver together with radar processing techniques, a 3D sensing of the range, azimuth, elevation and Doppler information for an arbitrary number of objects can be estimated through a simultaneous transmission and with realtime hardware implementable FFT processing techniques. A toplevel system concept and a complete parametrization is proposed for a radar system which is intended for obstacle warning for helicopters and to enhance flight safety in approach, landing and take-off phases of flight even in degraded visualconditions. The full OFDMMIMO Radar system has been implemented and tested in a MATLAB environment and simulation results are here presented. This paper is the first step towards the implementation of a compact and real-time radar system demonstrator. CONCLUSION A system concept has been presented in this paper for a realtime low-cost multichannel OFDM radar system which is both compact and cost efficient. Taking into consideration the target applications for helicopter obstacle warning, a set of requirements that should be met has been identified and a suitable OFDM radar configuration and system setup has been described, for both digital and RF antenna frontends. Finally, a complete OFDM MIMO radar MATLAB test environment with flexibility in the design of the OFDM waveform, antenna array and target allocation in a channel scenario has been presented. The concept has been proven with MATLAB simulations and since FFT and IFFT processes are primarily used, it is flexibly hardware implementable.
