Introduced is a new approach for processing spatiotemporal big data by leveraging distributed analytics and storage. A suite of temporally-aware analysis tools summarizes data nearby or within variable windows, aggregates points (e.g., for various sensor observations or vessel positions), reconstructs time-enabled points into tracks (e.g., for mapping and visualizing storm tracks), joins features (e.g., to find associations between features based on attributes, spatial relationships, temporal relationships or all three simultaneously), calculates point densities, finds hot spots (e.g., in species distributions), and creates space-time slices and cubes (e.g., in microweather applications with temperature, humidity, and pressure, or within human mobility studies). These “feature geo analytics” tools run in both batch and streaming spatial analysis mode as distributed computations across a cluster of servers on typical “big” data sets, where static data exist in traditional geospatial formats (e.g., shapefile) locally on a disk or file share, attached as static spatiotemporal big data stores, or streamed in near-real-time. In other words, the approach registers large datasets or data stores with ArcGIS Server, then distributes analysis across a cluster of machines for parallel processing. Several brief use cases will be highlighted based on a 16-node server cluster at 14 Gb RAM per node, allowing, for example, the buffering of over 8 million points or thousands of polygons in ~1 minute. The approach is “hybrid” in that ArcGIS Server integrates open-source big data frameworks such as Apache Hadoop and Apache Spark on the cluster in order to run the analytics. In addition, the user may devise and connect custom open-source interfaces and tools developed in Python or Python Notebooks; the common denominator being the familiar REST API.

Abstract. In this study, solar radiation was estimated at 53 location over Turkey with
varying climatic conditions using the Linear, Ridge, Lasso, Smoother, Partial least, KNN
and Gaussian process regression methods. The data of 2002 and 2003 years were used to
obtain regression coefficients of relevant methods. The coefficients were obtained based on
the input parameters. Input parameters were month, altitude, latitude, longitude and landsurface
temperature (LST).The values for LST were obtained from the data of the National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer
(NOAA-AVHRR) satellite. Solar radiation was calculated using obtained coefficients in
regression methods for 2004 year. The results were compared statistically. The most
successful method was Gaussian process regression method. The most unsuccessful method
was lasso regression method. While means bias error (MBE) value of Gaussian process
regression method was 0,274 MJ/m2, root mean square error (RMSE) value of method was
calculated as 2,260 MJ/m2. The correlation coefficient of related method was calculated as
0,941. Statistical results are consistent with the literature. Used the Gaussian process
regression method is recommended for other studies.

The 2015 LTER All Scientists Meeting was held from August 30 through the evening of September 2. The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

3. • A toolbox for the automated calculation of glacier
equilibrium-line altitudes (ELAs) using the Accumulation
Area Ratio, Area-Altitude Balance Ratio, Area-Altitude
and Kurowski methods is presented. These are the most
commonly-used methods of ELA calculation in palaeo-
glacier reconstructions.
• Through fast and automatic calculation this toolbox
simplifies the process of ELA determination and can
successfully work both for a single glacier and for large
datasets of multiple glaciers.

calculate palaeoglacier ELAs:
• THAR – The THAR assumes that the ELA lies at some
fixed proportion of the vertical distance (i.e. altitudinal
range) between the lowest and highest point of the

• AAR – The AAR is the most widely applied technique for
ELA estimation, and it has been used for glacier-climate
reconstruc- tions in mountain ranges across the world
