A Country of SEA: Presentation Project
Students will be asked to conduct a research on one of the countries of
Southeast Asia. Each will have to select a country of their own. Their research
findings will be presented to the class using either PowerPoint Presentation
program or Key Note presentation program. The entire working process of
students will be assessed.
Final Production:
An informative and interesting piece of 5-7 minute presentation
Objectives
1. To promote integrated lessons
2. Students will be familiar with the country they chose to research
information and present it to the class.
3. Students will have confidence in public speaking.
4. Students will have skills in searching for information via various media,
such as books, magazine, encyclopaedia, and Internet.
5. Students will learn how to organize time and work when they are required
to meet dateline.
Overall Expected Outcomes:
1. Students are able to conduct a research on the selected topic and are
able to present their findings using Presentation Programs
2. Students are able to present information confidently in front of the
class.
3. Students are able to create and plan their presentation style.
The research must include:
1. Location (which region of Asia, boundaries, neighboring countries, size,
distance from Bangkok, Thailand)
2. Visa requirement

Assessment:
Students will be assessed at all time of information gathering, their planning
timelines, their consultation with teachers, and their working process.
Students will be assessed for 2 subjects: Computing, and Social Studies.
Rubrics for Computing and Social Studies will be provided.
Criteria for Assessment:
1. Working Process (50 marks)
a. Script writing 20 marks
b. Information gathering process 30 marks
