Assessment for Research Project
A Country of Southeast Asia: Presentation
Students will be asked to conduct a research on one of the countries in
Southeast Asia. Each student will have to select a country of their own. Their
research findings will be presented to the class through the PowerPoint,
Keynote, or others Presentation Applications.
Final Production: an informative and interesting piece of country’s
presentation (should not be less than 7 minutes and no longer than 10
minutes)
Expected Outcomes:
1. Students are able to conduct a research on the selected topic and are
able to present their findings using PowerPoint, Keynote, or others
Presentation Applications.
2. Students are able to present information confidently in front of the
class.
3. Students are able to create a good quality presentation file of
PowerPoint, Keynote, or others Presentation Applications.
4. Students are able to plan their timeline to meet the dateline.
The research must include:
1. General Information: location, boundary, neighboring countries, size
comparing to Thailand, flag
2. Physical Characteristics of the countries: mountainous, flat area?
3. Human Characteristic: Number of population, what area in the
countries do the people gather and why?
4. Religion, Distance from WI - USA, Flight, Airfare, Visa
Requirement, Currency
5. Climate type: What climate types dominate the country and how does
each climate type affect people concentration, vegetation type,
industry, occupation and people’s lifestyle?

6. Vegetation, agriculture, industry, mineral resource
7. Language: How many languages are there? What are they? What is
the dominant language?
8. Other interesting matters of the country; for example, food, lifestyle,
tourist attraction etc.

Students will be assessed at all time of information gathering and presentation
file making process through their participation in class, their planning
timelines, and their consultation with teachers.
