When a linear equation is written in the form  y  =  mx  +  b , it is in slope-intercept form. y  =  mx  +  b slope y -intercept
State the slope and the  y -intercept of the graph of  y  = ½ x  + 3. State the slope and the  y -intercept of the graph of -4 x  + 5 y  = -10. You can use the slope-intercept form to graph a line quickly.
Graph  y  = ½ x  – 5 using slope-intercept form. Graph the  y -intercept.  Using “rise over run,” graph at least three other solution using the slope. Connect the dots and extend your line.
Graph 3 x  +  y  = 9 using the slope and y-intercept.
