Heart disease is the number one killer of women in the United States, causing more deaths than all forms of cancer combined. However, many still see heart disease as a "male disease" and women often dismiss symptoms. Some key statistics show the disparity in heart health between men and women, such as women being less likely to receive preventative treatments like defibrillators. While symptoms can vary between men and women, it is important for women to be aware of common symptoms like chest pain and pressure and seek medical help immediately if experienced. Lifestyle changes like maintaining a healthy weight, diet, exercise and not smoking can significantly lower heart disease risks.

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.

We’re talking about Vedic Meditation, a form of meditation that has been around for at least 5,000 years. Back then, the people who lived in the Indus Valley, now known as India and Pakistan, practised meditation as a fundamental part of daily life. This knowledge that has given us yoga and Ayurveda, was known as Veda, hence the name Vedic. And though there are some written records, the practice has been passed down verbally from generation to generation.

7 Simple Lifestyle Changes to Protect your Heart Health
weightlesschronicles.com/do-you-know-how-to-protect-your-heart
You can feel your heart racing as the sweat pours down your forehead. You feel
flushed and short of breath. You have just finished a kick-butt workout!
Or, are you experiencing a heart attack? According to the American Heart Association
(AHA), cardiovascular disease and stroke cause 1 in 3 womens’ deaths each year. One of my
friends, Jennifer Moreen, nearly died from a heart complication called fibro muscular
dysplasia (FMD). She is now a passionate advocate for women’s heart health through Go
Red for Women.
I am no stranger to heart problems. All but one of my grandparents passed away from heart
complications. I never even met my Dad’s father, as he passed away from a heart attack
before I was born. I have a friend who lost her active and healthy husband to a heart attack in
his late 20s, leaving her widowed with a young daughter. As a society, the risk for men having
a heart attack are well known.
But, statistics show that women today suffer more from heart disease than
men.
Did you know that heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women, and is more deadly than all
forms of cancer combined? Even more sobering for me is Hispanic women are likely to
develop heart disease 10 years earlier than Caucasian women. I am a Hispanic woman, and a
heart attack took my Grandma Espinosa over 14 years ago. It is amazing to me how my
ethnic background can influence overall health.
