Maintaining good health is not as difficult as you think. The body, as
you probably know from your school days, has built-in mechanisms
for taking care of itself. The problem is that people sometimes forget
that for these built-in mechanisms to work, they are to maintain a
certain diet as each and every one of the nutrients they get from foods
they eat contributes to the maintenance of body chemistry that
allows the body to function smoothly. Get all the info you need here.

HEART ATTACK TUTORIAL 14 – FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS LIKE SEX & SMOKING

Do you want to live longer, happier, and healthier? Well if so then get up out of that chair after you finish reading this report and put those muscles to work. Sure, certain natural supplements can benefit you, yet it takes more than popping pills. Exercise is where it is happening, along with a low-fat, low-fiber diet and a will to live toward good health. Of course, you will also need to cut out those nasty habits, such as smoking, drinking excessively, or using drugs. The drugs include over usage of prescription drugs. Good health comes to those that take care of their temple. (Body) When you work to good health, in turn, good health will come to you in many ways. Before you know it you will find yourself doing things you never did before.

New Directions in Targeted Therapeutic Approaches for Older Adults With Mantl...i3 Health
i3 Health is pleased to make the speaker slides from this activity available for use as a non-accredited self-study or teaching resource.
This slide deck presented by Dr. Kami Maddocks, Professor-Clinical in the Division of Hematology and
Associate Division Director for Ambulatory Operations
The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center, will provide insight into new directions in targeted therapeutic approaches for older adults with mantle cell lymphoma.
STATEMENT OF NEED
Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a rare, aggressive B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) accounting for 5% to 7% of all lymphomas. Its prognosis ranges from indolent disease that does not require treatment for years to very aggressive disease, which is associated with poor survival (Silkenstedt et al, 2021). Typically, MCL is diagnosed at advanced stage and in older patients who cannot tolerate intensive therapy (NCCN, 2022). Although recent advances have slightly increased remission rates, recurrence and relapse remain very common, leading to a median overall survival between 3 and 6 years (LLS, 2021). Though there are several effective options, progress is still needed towards establishing an accepted frontline approach for MCL (Castellino et al, 2022). Treatment selection and management of MCL are complicated by the heterogeneity of prognosis, advanced age and comorbidities of patients, and lack of an established standard approach for treatment, making it vital that clinicians be familiar with the latest research and advances in this area. In this activity chaired by Michael Wang, MD, Professor in the Department of Lymphoma & Myeloma at MD Anderson Cancer Center, expert faculty will discuss prognostic factors informing treatment, the promising results of recent trials in new therapeutic approaches, and the implications of treatment resistance in therapeutic selection for MCL.
Target Audience
Hematology/oncology fellows, attending faculty, and other health care professionals involved in the treatment of patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL).
Learning Objectives
1.) Identify clinical and biological prognostic factors that can guide treatment decision making for older adults with MCL
2.) Evaluate emerging data on targeted therapeutic approaches for treatment-naive and relapsed/refractory MCL and their applicability to older adults
3.) Assess mechanisms of resistance to targeted therapies for MCL and their implications for treatment selection

The prostate is an exocrine gland of the male mammalian reproductive system
It is a walnut-sized gland that forms part of the male reproductive system and is located in front of the rectum and just below the urinary bladder
Function is to store and secrete a clear, slightly alkaline fluid that constitutes 10-30% of the volume of the seminal fluid that along with the spermatozoa, constitutes semen
A healthy human prostate measures (4cm-vertical, by 3cm-horizontal, 2cm ant-post ).
It surrounds the urethra just below the urinary bladder. It has anterior, median, posterior and two lateral lobes
It’s work is regulated by androgens which are responsible for male sex characteristics
Generalised disease of the prostate due to hormonal derangement which leads to non malignant enlargement of the gland (increase in the number of epithelial cells and stromal tissue)to cause compression of the urethra leading to symptoms (LUTS

Acute scrotum is a general term referring to an emergency condition affecting the contents or the wall of the scrotum.
There are a number of conditions that present acutely, predominantly with pain and/or swelling
A careful and detailed history and examination, and in some cases, investigations allow differentiation between these diagnoses. A prompt diagnosis is essential as the patient may require urgent surgical intervention
Testicular torsion refers to twisting of the spermatic cord, causing ischaemia of the testicle.
Testicular torsion results from inadequate fixation of the testis to the tunica vaginalis producing ischemia from reduced arterial inflow and venous outflow obstruction.
The prevalence of testicular torsion in adult patients hospitalized with acute scrotal pain is approximately 25 to 50 percent

Dear Dude: An Open Letter from the Heart
mensworldhq.com/dear-dude-an-open-letter-from-the-heart/
Dear Dude,
I’m your heart, and I’m writing to give you a little wake-up call. Did you know that heart
disease is the number one killer of men in the United States? Heart disease isn’t much
further down the list even if you’re not in the US.
I’m not making it up, either. That’s information right from the Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention. You may know them better as the CDC.
It’s not all doom and gloom though dude. If you’re willing to listen, I can give you a few
tips to keep us both healthy.
You Should Eat More Fruits and Vegetables
We’ve talked about this before, especially if you need to lose that belly fat, and here’s a
bit more info
A manly man’s diet used to consist of mainly red meat and high-protein staples. Yes,
your body needs protein, but your heart doesn’t want all the saturated fat found in many
animal-based products. The main culprits are red meat, bacon, butter, and full-fat dairy
products.
1/4
2. So what should you eat instead? Aim for lean protein including fish, chicken, and
legumes like beans and lentils. Then, fill your plate with nutrient-rich vegetables. Fruit
also makes a great snack and after dinner treat.
You might even consider adopting a vegetarian diet a few days a week. Don’t worry,
being vegetarian, or even vegan can still be manly. After all, staying alive is totally the
manliest thing you can do.
Need more help with your diet? Check out this article on the top five foods you should
avoid.
You Need to Quit Smoking
If you don’t smoke, good for you, and you can skip this section. Oh, and don’t start
smoking!
Men that do smoke though should know that one in five heart disease-related deaths is
linked to smoking. That’s means that 20% of men who smoke will die from heart disease-
related complications.
I know quitting is hard, but making an effort can help save your life. Here are some
helpful tips to make quitting easier.
2/4
3. You Might Need to Exercise More
An active man is a healthy man. If you love playing rugby, dunking on your friends or
long-distance running, you’re probably already getting the exercise you need. If you’re a
bit more sedentary, you may need to lace up your trainers and work up a sweat.
Men should aim for 30 to 60 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise every single day. At
a minimum, you want to get in at least 2.5 hours each week.
That might sound like a lot if you’re busy, but the good news is that small tasks count
toward your total. Take the stairs, go dancing with your partner, fit in a few crunches in
your office before you head out to lunch.
Every drop of sweat adds up in the end.
3/4
4. You Better Learn to Manage Your Stress
They say stress is the silent killer for a reason. Poorly managed stress can put a strain on
your heart. Just as bad, it can lead you to behaviors like eating poorly, smoking, avoiding
exercise and not getting enough sleep.
How you choose to manage your stress is up to you, and what works is often very
personal. Some men find that meditation is effective. Other guys need to work on their
car. Just as many men play sports, see a therapist or make changes in their work lives to
reduce stress.
Whatever you choose to do, keeping your stress level out of the red is vital to your heart
health.
Four tips? That’s it?
I hear you, but look, I’m just a heart. It’s a miracle that I managed to type this at all.
The fact is that maintaining your heart health doesn’t have to be so difficult. By changing
your diet, making lifestyle changes like quitting smoking, exercising more and managing
stress, you’re already doing a lot to ensure you’ve got a healthy heart.
What’s your number five tip for heart health?
