2. Initial Reaction
• I am wanting to make a magazine cover and
double spread sheet that focuses on boxing
because I enjoy watching and learning about
different types of boxers and how they train
and prepare for fights. I understand the sport
and have watched many matches to discus in
this magazine, I will write about boxers from
the past and how they changed the sport, I
will write about future matchups that could
potentially happen.

FILM MAGAZINE
A magazine that writes about different types of films or
TV Shows being released. This magazine could include
articles about films being announced, the release date,
cast interviews.
I could include film set photos for spoilers of the films, I
would make this film magazine about the newly released
Joker movie starring Joaqine Phoenix, this is because it
was one of the first films I had seen in a while that I truly
enjoyed and I think others would be too. Even though
this movie has already been released I would still write
articles and include spoilers about the movie whilst
acting out it is soon to be released.
BOXING MAGAZINE
A magazine that focuses on the sport of boxing, I would
write about different boxers either from the past or
present. This magazine could include articles about
boxing matchups that are set to happen, interviews with
the loser or winner about past matches that made
history in the sport & a list of all the current heavyweight
champions of the world.
I could use photos of the highlight boxing matches that
have been on for this month. I would make this boxing
magazine focus on two boxers specifically, (Tyson Fury,
Deyonte Wilder) this is because these two are set to
have a once in a lifetime rematch to take place in the
next few months, there is lot to talk about in this topic.
MUSIC MAGAZINE
A magazine that focuses on the music industry, I would write about
different types of rappers or singers from the past or present. This magazine
will include articles about tours and concerts that will be set to happen, I
would include interviews from my chosen artists I could also include photos
of the highlights from the best concerts/tours of this past year. I will talk
about how these particular artists rose to fame and became successful icons
in the industry.

This magazine will have the colour scheme of red black
and white. I will include Tyson Fury or Deyonte Wilder as
the front face of the magazine.
On my double page spread I will have one page for Tyson
Fury and Deyonte Wilder then on the other spare page I
will include the articles about different boxers from the
past and include my lists, facts and photos.

Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated
colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• There is not really a repetition in colours in the magazine, they all seem to have their
own style with different sets of colours, the image styles do include repetition because
they all have at least one of the boxers looking angry and serious in the centre of the
page. The main fonts do have similar looks to them because the writers need to make it
clear that it is a “Boxing” magazine, this is why boxing is most of all of these magazines
main title. These magazines do all share the same sort of mood, this is because they all
represent the same thing (fighting).
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• My mood board will influence my final product by allowing me to look at all of the
different styles of boxing magazines to help me make my mind of what I would like
my magazine to look like. It will always help me look at the photos, titles and text
that are on the covers to see if there is any that I would like to include in my
magazine cover and double spread sheet.
