The document provides an evaluation of a production project. It summarizes the research, planning, time management, technical, aesthetic, and audience appeal aspects of the project. Peer feedback noted that the trailer was short and unentertaining, and improvements could be made to the poster backgrounds, fonts, and image resolutions. The feedback was agreed with regarding improving the trailer organization but disagreed with about the text in one poster holding audience interest. Changes are needed to make the trailer longer with more shots and the poster backgrounds more ominous.

0x01 - Newton's Third Law: Static vs. Dynamic AbusersOWASP Beja
f you offer a service on the web, odds are that someone will abuse it. Be it an API, a SaaS, a PaaS, or even a static website, someone somewhere will try to figure out a way to use it to their own needs. In this talk we'll compare measures that are effective against static attackers and how to battle a dynamic attacker who adapts to your counter-measures.

3. Research
• The questionnaires on the surveys showed strong contrasts to my original
ideas, showing how different the product needed to be compared to my
original thoughts. The consensus showed which direction the style should
go, and how to write the funny moments. It could’ve been questioned
better, as asking which movies were relevant for my own personal
research did not help as much as anticipated. With more influences for
how to produce a movie, this would have changed the drive for what the
product would’ve been.
• The existing products showed in merchandise that a lot of the designs
have an inside joke with their respective comedy movie, and mine was
hard to do with only a trailer, so it is just the title, making it different to
those researched. To change this it would’ve relied of setting out a
storyline and multiple characters with memorable quotes.
• The interviews were for the majority pointless as one of them, while
answered in a serious tone, was only helpful to show a small group of
people.
4. Planning
• The initial mind maps reflect quite effectively how the whole project took
place, as they were descriptive enough and didn’t need to change to stay
consistent with other parts.
• The mood board did not show anything new to me, or someone who
perhaps was looking at to give a grade. To improve, I could’ve done some
other way of collecting thoughts and similar ideas or colour schemes,
because looking through someone else’s online property is only showing
what movies I like and generally is not of any use.
5. Time Management
Time could’ve been handled a lot better, because the development of the
trailer itself was postponed for good lighting and weather for the background
in shots. For the rest of production, time was managed well as all research,
planning and pre production was completed right on time for the start of the
production weeks. With more time to produce it would’ve been easier to
make a better style of poster, with more use of pictures instead of hand
drawn parts included, which were drawn in using a template anyways. To
summarise, the only downfall of the management was where clips and
photos couldn’t be taken in a good time period.
6. Technical Qualities
For the trailer, the
sound cues were
executed well, with
the cuts in the clip
being precisely on the
drum beat. The
posters were
intentionally made to
be simple, however
the thought that went
into the
monochromatic light
and the drawn in,
however polygonal
design of the blade.
A movie of the
same genre, scary
movie, uses a very
different style in
the art, choosing to
show all the
characters pulling
different
expressions.
The backgrounds are designed differently,
with the scary movie poster showing a
theatre and a staged background.
The credits on mine
are shoved in the
audiences face,
whereas they take
up more space on
the scary movie
poster and still
draw less attention
than those in the
poster for
Gruesome, where it
is used as a joke for
“fans” of my other
7. Aesthetic Qualities
This shot, filmed on
a steady camera can
be considered
creative, with the
makeshift setup
used to move the
camera and it
worked out to show
a good money-shot
that shows exactly
what it needed to
show. The downfall
of this is the slight
wobble which is
anticipated with the
design of the dolly
used to move the
camera.
The light in this is very poor, where the
the reflections from the room ahead
shine strongly into the camera,
overexposing the whole shot and
showing the wrong colours in the wrong
places.
To improve this,
overall, I would have
a different angle on
the blade, and this is
because the
reflection shows the
ceiling and reduces
the length I tried to
portray of danger.
The light, as
mentioned before,
would be changed as
described.
8. Audience Appeal
For this, I chose a default template of the
internet of a white shirt, and using
Photoshop I inverted the colours and added
the movie title on top. The placement of the
word is chosen so that the wearer has to
show his sweaty pits to anyone who asks to
see the whole word. The design could be
changed here to change how it runs off and
doesn’t curve around the shirt, i would like
to represent the shape better.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
Poster 1: The humour is great. The black within black colour scheme gives depth.
The image is simple and merchandise spin off of Gruesome kitchenware is a possibility.
Poster2: This works for me. I very much like the text layout approach with ‘The Grim will reap’
The humour is held back until the last line which works well.
Teeshirt: The idea of wrapping the text around the body is good. Grueso visible on the front could catch on.
The Trailer: The music and cuts work well together. The humour in the credits genuinely works.
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
Poster1: I would have liked to see a higher resolution knife without the Aliasing artefacts that I can see. It ruins the effect of the image of a blade – it is not serrated – just jagged. The font
choice could be a lot more interesting.
Poster 2: The font choice for ‘COULD IT BE A HIGHER BEING?’ isn’t really working for me. It needs to be a more interesting font or a rasterised font that has been worked on further in
Photoshop.
Teeshirt: The teeshirt is pixelated and you could so easily have found a higher resolution image to work from which would have prevented that being a problem.
The Trailer: The tracking shot moving towards the knife has a wobble in it. We have a tracking rig here in college. Learn to use it. It will turn your idea into a professional piece of work.
11. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– The designs were consistent, and the art style was
original for the genre
– The text poster was creative in its writing
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The trailer was bland and very short
– The jokes are not entertaining
12. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
The jokes kept interest
It was easy to follow what was going on in the posters
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
• The posters backgrounds were not adding to the
posters
• The trailer had credits as long as the clip itself
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
The points on the trailer being badly organised in
length and being boring was a good point
• What do you disagree with from your peer
feedback?
The text in poster 2 was not planned and did not
likely hold an audience's general interest
14. Peer Feedback Summary
Changes are likely needed for the trailer, with the
amount of shots and props, as this made it very
short compared with the credits of the product.
The colours in the poster’s backgrounds were
changed to show movement and detail where
there is very little of this, and it would perhaps be
improved with an ominous photo of sorts.
