2. Process
โข For both the posters, and the
hoodies I will be using
Photoshop to design them.
Starting with posters, I will find
some knife images, and other
dangerous looking things, copy
them, and place them around
the title. This was made by
cropping out the background
for a generic knife, and copying
the image, but in a different art
style. A lot of the poster is text,
and a very bad joke, followed
by a joke that is very well
aimed. A small amount of
monochromatic light, which is
very subtly changing in its
shade, and not the colour.
3. Process
โข For creating merchandise, a
blank template of a t-shirt
has to be found, and then
added to in Photoshop,
with the chosen design.
The one I made requires a
black shirt, which I found
on the internet, but
transformed enough
through inverting it and
placing my own design,
which wraps around to the
back, so that reading it
means you have to look at
the wearersโ sweaty pits,
and you can see the M and
the E.
4. Process
โข There were two planned
posters, and this is the
second one. Plans were
to make it similar to the
first one, where style is
duplicated to show very
similar styles. This one,
in contrast to the other
poster, is based around
the text content, with
something murderous
written. This part
doesnโt matter, as long
as it is catchy.
5. Process
โข First part of making the trailer is
making the dolly for the camera for
smooth movement, which can be
done cheaply with just a box of Legos
that hasnโt been opened for years
and a nostalgia shield. A camera can
be placed in some place where it fits
and can be removed easily. This can
also be used as a tripod, if kept still,
but with 4 wheels instead of 3 legs. (a
quadpod?)
6. Process
โข The last part is to put together the
videos, and adding some ominous
sounding music. The clip is cut on each
of the drum beats, this is to build some
kind of haunting tension. the only part
that can be considered funny is the
uncomfortable amount of time watching
the main character reading silently,
which isnโt even that good. The credits
are probably the most visually
impressive part, which probably isnโt
good.
โข The last part of the process is to render
the finished product. The best way to do
this is in as high of a quality as possible
for the best viewing experience,
however the choice between 60 frames
per second and 24 is hard for
cinematography.
