Through creating a school magazine and music magazine, the author learned important skills. These included learning Photoshop at a higher level and various computer software and camera skills. Creating the school magazine provided experience that helped the author make an improved music magazine with more techniques and features tailored to the intended audience and music genre.

2.  Looking back on my school magazine I believe that I
have learnt a lot, this is because I have learned to use
Photoshop at a more higher level, because the more
practice I did with it the more I improved. My music
magazine contains a lot more features then my school
magazine. It has many more techniques. This is because
once I finished my school magazine I had gained a lot of
experience of using the software and creating a user
friendly and cool magazine for my intended audience. I
had more of an idea of to what a conventional music
magazine would look like and was confident that I was
going to improve.

3. I have also come to learn various ways of dealing with
technology. E.g cameras and computer software. Through
this I have learnt to create my own survey and email it to
a number of people for feedback, this really helped me in
the process of making my magazine, because I was aware
of the type of magazine that people would buy. Also
through computer software my skills for Photoshop have
improved and this helped me to create an outstanding
music magazine.

4. I have also learnt that through the conventional media
language, my music magazine fits in well with my music
genre. This was learnt through my school magazine. In
my preliminary task I went through various techniques in
producing a school magazine and by doing this it helped
me to develop my skills in the software.
