1. How does my media product represent particular social groups?
My media product represents social groups
between the ages of 14-19. This can be shown
through the mis-en- scene portrayed from the
outlook of the magazine, for e.g. the posture and
clothing of the model on the cover, is young and hip
and her facial expression is that of the young age
genre. Her facial expression is solid yet subtle. Also
the framing is set in a way to show superiority, the
models posture reflects this, from her head pushed
up and her eyes looking straight towards the
camera. Additionally I used this model because she
is within the age category, that I am using to attract
my audience.
