Q3- What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
   constructing this product?
What I have learnt
Before beginning this project, I had never
created a blog, used survey monkey, slide
share or used photo shop so it was quite
difficult to get to grips with everything
although I soon became familiar with the
techniques and methods.
Using survey monkey
Survey monkey is a site where you can create your own survey. The good
thing about using survey monkey online is, it is free, not very time
consuming and you can access a lot of people.

                                           This was the music survey
which I made to find out
                                           which type of music people
                                           like and whether this effects
                                           their personality.
Slide share

I used slide share to present some of the work that
I did to in power point rather than manually
loading up page by page. This saved a lot of time
for me to do other work and fits the purpose well.
Just a few Techniques that I used
The lasso tool
Firstly, I used the lasso tool to put the model in front
of the text rather than having it placed behind. This
shows a more professional look which makes it look
more real-life and publishable. This also can be used
in many forms of media including advertisement.
          1 2

As you can see here, I have stretched
out the masthead on Magazine 2 and
used the lasso tool to put the text
                behind the models head.
Photo Adjustments
When using Photoshop and photographs, I used
Image Adjustments to change a particular part to
the image. For example, I used this tool a lot to
adjust the image to suit the magazine style. I did this
to change the brightness, contrast or hue and
saturation are just a few of the tool options that I
used.
Example-

As you can see, this changes the brightness of the image to make
                it a better quality image.

This is the hue and saturation tool. Although this tool can change the colours
dramatically, you can also adjust the colour to suit you to make the colours more
 powerful.
Could I have completed the project
   without technology?
No, I couldn’t have completed the project without technology. The project definitely
needed technology to work.
Firstly, the project work all was uploaded on to blogger; a blogging site.
This was good that it was easier look after work as the work didn’t have to be on
paper so there wasn’t any loose paper that could be lost. As for the saved work,
using technology such as memory sticks and saving the files on to the computer too
made it less likely for any work to be lost.

The magazine was created in Photoshop to make it look professional and skilled
rather than using a program such as Microsoft publisher which we used to make
our flat plans which didn’t fit the purpose of magazine making efficiently.
The negative parts of the
technology used
I used my mobile phone to record the both of the
interviews. For the interview task, I don’t think the
mobile phone worked very well to get the interviews on
to my blog. It wasn’t very reliable for this use so if I was
going to do this task again, i would use a different type
of technology to make it easier for me to upload on to
            my blog.

The only negative view I
have on blogger was
that It was sometimes
difficult to upload work
such as the voice
recorded interview.
