This document describes a patent for improvements in the manufacturing process of insulated electric cables. Specifically, it involves extruding an oversized metal sheath around the cable core, sealing the ends to form a container, drying the core under vacuum with optional heating methods, impregnating the dried core inside the sheath, and reducing the cross-section of the sheath to tightly fit the core. The oversized sheath allows for vacuum drying and impregnation before reducing the sheath size. Various heating methods and sheath size reduction techniques are also described.
