The 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War will be four days of events taking place in April 2015 in Wilmington, NC. This event is hosted by the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA), local Wilmington chapter 885. This event is not only to honor and commemorate Vietnam veterans, but all veterans, all wars in unity with the local community. Key-note speakers include the Governor of N.C. Pat McCrory, Mayor of Wilmington, Bill Saffo, and the Chairman of Board of Commissioners. The
President
of
the
United
States
by
proclama7on
has
declared
May
2012
through
November
2025,
as
the
Commemora7on
of
the
50th
Anniversary
of
the
Vietnam
War.
In
accordance
with
this
proclama7on,
the
Vietnam
Veterans
of
America
(VVA),
Chapter
885,
Lower
Cape
Fear
Region,
is
preparing
to
conduct
four
(4)
days
of
events,
honoring
all
veterans,
all
wars,
during
April
2015,
the
23rd
through
the
26th
in
Wilmington,
NC.
The
events
will
take
place
at
the
Coastline
Conven7on
Center,
Hugh
MacRae
Park,
Greenfield
Lake
Ampitheater
and
the
N.C.
BaWleship
during
these
four
days.
The

will
be
open

all
veterans
