The document outlines Jack Morton's pre-production process for creating a survival documentary. It includes choosing fonts, images, and layouts to grab viewers' attention and set the tone. It also describes selecting locations, props, and equipment needed. Potential issues like running out of battery or copyright concerns are addressed. A schedule is provided showing a week-long process of filming in the forest, then editing footage on college computers to add effects and complete the documentary trailer by the deadline. Health and safety precautions for working in the wilderness are also noted.

I choose this font because it
shouts survival and grabs the
viewers attention. I will use
this in my project at the start
of the documentary.
I choose this image because it
stands out and tells the viewer
straight away its about survival. I
will choose ideas and places from
this documentary. The things I will
pick out are the way he shoots he
scenes and in a survival guide
sorter way.
I choose this image
because it tells us what
the documentary is going
be about and who's going
to be in it. I will use there
information and use it in
my documentary.
I choose this image
because it shows me
what's he's going up
against which in this
case, is the wild. I will
use his guides for
example how to light
fire with only wood.

3. Layout 1 Survival guide with Jack MortonThe reason I put the images where they are
now is because the fire is below the fish
suggesting that I will be eating or cooking
the fish for my survival guide. The effect of
this is that it creates a survival atmosphere
and tells the viewer its about survival
straight of the bat. The colour of the bright
orange flame yells manliness as the juicy cod
burns to a smoky flavor.
The reason I added Ed Stafford is because is
it shows how dangerous and useful the
surroundings can be to make a weapon out
of wood. The effect of this is that it makes
the viewer feel inspired to go out and enter
the wild to survive. The colour suggests
freshness as the leaves are green and gives
off a fresh scent to are minds.
The reason I placed the snake in the poster
is that is shows how deadly the English can
be and anything can be lurking around the
corner ready to strike. The effect of this to
the viewer is that makes them feel
threatened by the dangerous creature and
makes them want to explore the woods to
find it and say they survived a dangerous
encounter with the snake. The colour shows
how awful and evil the snake can be.
4. Layout 2
with Jack Morton
The reason I placed the “Survival Guide”
image is to show the viewer how strong
and dangerous the wild can be. The
effect on the viewer makes them feel
interested as they are grabbed in by the
poster learn about more. The colour of
the black and orange brightens other
images out and therefore make the
poster stand out dramatically.
The reason I placed the survival shelter is
that it shows how resourceful the
environment can be as you can be build
anything with the right mind set. This
makes the viewer feel knowledgeable
and interested in on how to collect
resources. The colour shows how fresh
and natured you will be. The fisher man
is placed in the poster because it shows
how determined you will have to be to
fight the wilderness and feed your self.
This effects the reader as it makes them
feel interested on how to learn how to
feed your self the nature gives you. The
colour suggests how nightmarish and
dangerous mother nature can be as it
calms you until it strikes you and defeats
you.
