The reason why I choose these types of fonts is because it shouts survival and grabs the
viewers attention. I will use this in my project at the start of the documentary as this will be
appealing and clear to the viewers. This will show how unique and eye catching the
documentary can get. It will also appeal to any gender because its nor male or female its
unisex. This will appeal to more people as it will widen their target market.
I choose this image because it stands out and tells the viewer straight away its
about survival. I will choose ideas and places from this documentary. The
things I will pick out are the way he shoots he scenes and in a survival guide
sorter way. I will choose ideas and places from this documentary. The things I
will pick out are the way he shoots he scenes and in a survival guide sorter
way.
Colour’s will stand out to the audience as it will grab
their attention because the Colours are noticeable and
will stand out like a soar thumb. It will also catch the
customers eye, therefore trapping the viewer into
wanting to know more. The colours are simple and
straight to the point. This is great because it speaks for it
self and relatively easy to understand as there is no
confusing patterns. The colours are vibrant and
noticeable, this Is great as it will draw costumers in.I choose this image because it tells us what the
documentary is going be about and who's going
to be in it. I will use there information and use it
in my documentary.

Survival guide with
Jack Morton
I put the images where they are now is
because the fire is below the fish suggesting
that I will be eating or cooking the fish for
my survival guide. The effect of this is that it
creates a survival atmosphere and tells the
viewer its about survival straight of the bat.
The colour of the bright orange flame yells
manliness as the juicy sea bass burns to a
smoky flavor.
The reason I added Ed Stafford is because is
it shows how dangerous and useful the
surroundings can be to make a weapon out
of wood. The effect of this is that it makes
the viewer feel inspired to go out and enter
the wild to survive. The colour suggests
freshness as the leaves are green and gives
off a fresh scent to are minds.
The reason I placed the snake in the poster
is that is shows how deadly the English can
be and anything can be lurking around the
corner ready to strike. The effect of this to
the viewer is that makes them feel
threatened by the dangerous creature and
makes them want to explore the woods to
find it and say they survived a dangerous
encounter with the snake. The colour shows
how awful and evil the snake can be.
Layout 2
I placed the “Survival Guide” image is to
show the viewer how strong and
dangerous the wild can be. The effect on
the viewer makes them feel interested as
they are grabbed in by the poster learn
about more. The colour of the white and
green brightens other images out and
therefore makes the poster stand out
dramatically.
The reason I placed the survival shelter is
that it shows how resourceful the
environment can be as you can be build
anything with the right mind set. This
makes the viewer feel knowledgeable
and interested in on how to collect
resources. The colour shows how fresh
and natured you will be. The fisher man
is placed in the poster because it shows
how determined you will have to be to
fight the wilderness and feed your self.
This effects the reader as it makes them
feel interested on how to learn how to
feed your self the nature gives you. The
colour suggests how nightmarish and
dangerous mother nature can be as it
surprises you around every corner.

I created a documentary trailer, and I added
engaging text fonts to draw the viewer in and
listen to what I have to say. I then added in
fading for the audio and video. I did this to
make the documentary trailer more smooth
and recognisable between each scene. I
noticed that the font colour was dull and not
recognisable as it was white and didn’t stand
out a whole lot. The struggles with these
different types of version where confusing as
they weren't compactable with each other as
this led to countless time walking back and
forth to change the data on the old version
to the newer version. Once I have changed
the data and save I couldn't’t work In certain
lessons as I would have to do it all over
again. The Pre-production process was that I
needed to make a story board, style sheet,
survival poster. The process took longer as I
had more problems with the different
versions. I then noticed that some of the
shots were to short as you couldn’t
understand the scene or what was happing
so I used I slowed down scenes to make
them visible and to create atmosphere of
calm and relaxation.
Story Boards
The shots in which these images are taken are short shot in which it shows an individual close
or an object. Another shot I have taken is a medium shot which shows the environment and
also the host in the natural wild. Then we have the long shot which tells the audience what
sort of landscape the documentary is going to be set in. Another type of camera shot is low
camera shot which shows an object or a wild animal mostly up close. There is a birds eye view
which shows a landscape from high up that the audience can tell what sort of situation the
host is in. Another type of camera shot is a close up shot, this tends to be on a human
individual or an animal
Story Boards
This tells the audience that
the environment is useful
for food.
Here I explain what how
much energy you can get for
eating blueberries.
I talk about the traps
needed to catch food in the
wild.
I will talk about the best
shelter and what wood is
the best.
Here I will talk about what
material you will need to
make a survival shelter.
I will then talk about how
to build the survival
shelter.
