Constant Contact x Techsoup Webinar (3_28_23) - How to Own the Smartphone wit...TechSoup
We’re living in a smartphone world. And your marketing efforts need to keep pace.
You’ve got an amazing opportunity to reach donors and volunteers regularly on a device they carry with them at all times.
You can win by enhancing the member experience by using social, email, and text in concert to drive engagement and donations.
In this free, one-hour webinar, you’ll learn:
- How each channel - social, email, text - works to move people closer to your mission
- How to harness the strengths of each channel
- How to create a great experience that impacts your fundraising goals
Learn how other non-profit organizations have created a closed loop system that tracks response, captures donor motivations, and helps increase participation and revenues. Leave with a clear picture of how to develop your own communication plan that will connect, engage, and convert more donors.
From your website to social media, email to mobile messages, online to offline, multichannel strategies require coordination and creative thinking across teams and departments, and a focus on the core of your work beyond any one specific call to action. In this session, we will show you how to craft an online multichannel campaign plan to meet your mission and campaign goals, and how other organizations are successfully integrating multichannel efforts into their work. For example, what happens when you tie your Facebook posts to your online fundraising appeals? What about sending text messages connected to your email actions the next day? Multichannel strategies bring your staff together and connect your community across platforms for more targeted actions. This session provides highlights from the new book Social Change Anytime Everywhere: How to Implement Online Multichannel Strategies to Spark Advocacy, Raise Money, and Engage your Community by Allyson Kapin and Amy Sample Ward and gives you the next steps you need to start working to create real social change online and on the ground.

Fundraising dos and don'ts from GiveMN's own fundraising guru Dan Moore
Driving email engagement for non-profits.Sophia Latto
What is the role of email with constituents these days? Are people reading them at all? Should we be emailing and how does mobile fit in? In an ever-shifting online communications landscape, this session will explore where e-mail still has the greatest value in your marketing and fundraising efforts and will show you tips on how to optimize your email efforts.
Engage Donors Year Round with Social DataAttentive.ly
After investing so heavily in converting someone into a donor in the first place, it’s important to retain their support--yet retention of online donors can be surprisingly low, especially for first-time donors. And with nonprofits (and businesses) sending more email and social messages than ever before, your communications have to spark the interests of your fans and donors and need to be sent when your issues are top of mind.
In this webinar, Dr. Beverly A. Browning, author of Perfect Phrases for Fundraising will discuss how to use THE RIGHT PHRASE FOR EVERY SITUATION . . . EVERY TIME. Using precise language in a fundraising campaign is an absolute must. The words you choose can make the difference between having your appeal read . . . or tossed. Learn how to craft a message that recipients will read and respond to. The author will share her time-saving tips, message-crafting strategies and ready-to-use phrases for getting results in any campaign.
The Social Currency of Social Media by @JoeySheppEarthsite
A presentation at the LOHAS Forum 2010 on how social media provides many values beyond marking ROI and how engagement is the basis for a new social currency.
During today's Hump Day Coffee Break, we focused on three questions you should be asking about any new social network:
Are YOUR people there? Do your supporters, donors, and volunteers use Snapchat? What percentage of your audience is comprised of millennials? Start your Facebook fans, twitter flowers, email subscribers, etc.
Do you have the bandwidth? Do you have the time and resources to manage yet another social network? Snap chats minimum ad budget is currently $100,000, see you probably won't be advertising on Snapshot anytime soon.
How will you add value? As with most social networks, people would tune you out if all you talk about is your nonprofit. What will you share that's useful? What will you share that entertaining? And how will you share micro-moments that honor the Snapchat culture?

Russian anarchist and anti-war movement in the third year of full-scale warAntti Rautiainen
Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.
