Eradication, Containment, Control And Mitigation
Eradication, containment, control and mitigation are the four main strategies for dealing with
established invasive species (Wittenberg Cock, 2001). The options for each management strategy are
varied based on the complexity of ecosystems, species richness, and climatic regions involved
(Huston, 2004). During the implement of management programme, it is important to simultaneously
monitor the impact of the actions, as some native species can also be affected by newly disturbances,
the monitoring can identify negative unexpected results and allow us to change and adapt the
programme to new approaches and situations (Huston, 2004; Wittenberg Cock, 2001).
Eradication
The aim of eradication is completely eliminating one or more invasive species from an area and
provide the opportunity for complete rehabilitation of the habitat, and therefore eradication is
considered as the most effective strategy once the prevention methods have failed, despite the actions
are always costly and require full commitment and widespread support from the relevant agencies and
public until completion (Department of the Environment, 2016; Mack et al., 2000; Wittenberg Cock,
2001). Eradication can be achieved by habitat management, and using of mechanical, chemical and
biological control (Wittenberg Cock, 2001). Eradication programme has been used to eradicate the
giant African snail (Achatina fulica) population in south Florida and Queensland, various
combinations of 12 mammal species from

Social Reform
In chapter 15 we discuss the topics of new reforms and the new American Culture which takes place
between 1820 1860. In this time, a wide range of new reforms came and improve the conditions in the
United States. During this time, the desire social reforms were huge, both for religious and political
roots. As we know, America was defined as a democracy, more than ever people took part in the
government. Although many thought differently, they looked towards the promises of equality and
liberty in the Declaration of Independence. They said if America was a democracy, women would be
made equal, and slavery would be outlawed. By resolving these infringements, the United States
shifted towards its political ideals.

This led reformers to think differently, that their should be an end to slavery. REligious beliefs led
many to follow and try to put slavery to an end. In 1804, Pennsylvania through New England
promised to end slavery over time. The American Colonization Society set up an independent colony
in Africa for freed slaves. Doing this led to the making of Liberia in west Africa. The rise of
abolitionists grew in America. Many abolitionist were free african americans, they used lawsuits and
petitions to try and end slavery. Abolitionist even made a newspaper article known as the Freedom
Journal that described the horrors of being a slave. There were many other very famous abolitionist
such as Frederick Douglass, William Lloyd Garrison, the Grimke Sisters, and Harriet Tubman. Harriet
Tubman being one of the most famous conductors of the underground Railroads freed herself and 300
other slaves, bringing them to safety. Many were so grateful for her, she was known as Black

African Americans During World War I
Many African Americans had moved north during the Great Migration to escape conditions in the
south, but found that discrimination was still prevalent in northern cities. African Americans not only
had difficulties finding jobs, but still felt the stigma of being black. Living within the time of legal
discrimination, many African Americans soon realized that though they may have escaped the
violence of the south, they still had to deal with the challenges and setbacks of being black in
America. The Great Migration began in the 1910s and 1920s during World War I. The second wave of
migration of Blacks to the north and west began in the 1940s during and after World War II
(Alexander, 1998, p. 352). With the war going on, many black people found jobs due to the numerous
openings of those fighting in the war. But once the war ended, white soldiers came back, finding
blacks filling their jobs and wanting them back. Black men had particularly difficult times finding
jobs; they were the last to be hired or accepted in the unions and were the first to be let go during the
Depression (Dyer, 2001). Not only did the new immigrants face tension with whites over jobs, but
also with Northern blacks, who believed that the migrants threatened their social, economic and
political security (Tolnay 1997, p.1216).
African Americans in the north and south were able to face blatant discrimination in jobs, housing,
wages and other areas of public life because of the enforcement of Jim Crow

Native Americans After Reconstruction
Option 2 There were three important people that had very different views on how to reconstruct the
Union. Reconstruction was, according to The Americans by McDougal Littell, the period during
which the United States began to rebuild after the Civil War (Page 376). It started in 1865 and ended
in 1877. The views on how Reconstruction should happen were very different for each of these
people: Abraham Lincoln, the Radical Republicans, and Andrew Johnson. Abraham Lincoln had very
unique views and ideas on how Reconstruction should be planned. He wanted to make the South s
return to the Union as quick and easy as possible (McDougal Littell, 2005, page 377). He also came
up with the Ten Percent Plan, which meant that the government ... Show more content on

The Indians were ridiculed and manipulated because of many different bills passed in the 1800 s and
their land was decreasing in size and amount of food sources and land. The effects of the Indian
Removal Act, Westward expansion, and the Dawes Act on the Native Americans in the 1800 s were
abundant. The Indian Removal Act was a bill signed by President Andrew. This act enabled the
president to give grants for unsettled land west of the Mississippi river, in exchange for Indian lands
within existing state border ( Primary Documents in American History. Library of Congress, 2015).
So, the Indian tribes were forcibly taking form their homes and moved to the west, because of this act.
Westward expansion effected the Native Americans because the Indians lived in these areas. First, the
pioneers started to kill the bison, the Indian s main food source, which lessened the amount of bison in
the area causing hunger in Native American tribes ( Buffalo Hunters in the Old West. Buffalo Hunters
in the Old West, 2015). Next, they moved into the Native s lands to build houses and farms. Searching
for gold was another problem, because the gold miners would search in their sacred hills, disturbing
peace between the two. ( America Indians and Western Expansion,

M2 part Considering your work for Task 2 e or f, indicate how some of the fundamental principles of
HCI have been applied and how the specific need has been met. In this part of the assignment I will be
reflecting on the specialist input (e) design I have designed. I have designed a keyboard which has
Braille keys, for the purpose of the people who are blind, as this keyboard will be an advantage for the
blind which means that they will not be isolated just because they are blind, but in fact using this
keyboard the blind can continue their daily lives like others going to work and schools etc. One of the
Fundamental principles of HCI is that the user has ease of use, and I have applied this principle in my

The effectiveness of HCI can also be measured by doing tests on that HCI to see how much errors it
has, and after doing tests if the results show that it has a lot of errors then that HCI will not be a very
effective. This is because a lot of errors on a HCI can make the user slow down when interacting with
the HCI, but if there are not that much errors then it can be known as an effective HCI, because the
user can use it effectively without having to troubleshoot. The effectiveness of HCI can be measured
by the understanding of the user and to what extent the user has the knowledge and understanding of
the HCI. If it seems as though that the user does not have the understanding of the HCI then the
conclusion would be that the HCI is not very effective. But if the user is understanding the HCI and

Mouth Organ Boys
ames Berry is a black Jamaican poet who settled in England in the 1940 s. Berry is known for using
both english and jamaican patois. Berry s writing sometimes explores the relationship between black
and white communities, in particular the excitement and troubles in the coming relationship of the
Carribean immigrants with the British. Berry s The Mouth Organ Boys deals with a boy named
Delroy, who longs to have a mouth organ like the other boys, so he can fit in with the white boys who
have a mouth organ. A mouth organ is a free reed wind instrument used worldwide. But they don t
accept Delroy because he doesn t own one. Delroy s mom doesn t understand that he gets made fun of

It is further enhance by Berry s use of symbolism that enters the short story right at the beginning.
Symbolism represents something greater than itself. A symbol can represent and mean anything to
anyone. Someone could have a different meaning to a certain symbol then you. To the readers the
mouth organ is just a piece of plastic and the mouth organ boys are just another group. It s not easy for
delroy to fit in with these boys or anyone else because he is different and not like them. When he is
not accepted into the group right away he that realizes he has to work to get into the group. So like any
other person would do to get accepted into the group, he asked his mom at first to buy it for him and
this is what he says he All the other boys have a mouth organ. Mam () This states that the mouth organ
is is more to delroy then just a piece of metal. It represents more to delory to be a part of the mouth
organ boys. This symbolizes Delory fitting in with the mouth organ boys, finding a place where he can
have fun and be a part of something. Its way more to Delroy then a stupid group or stupid instrument.
The boys don t treat Delroy with a lot of respect, they always bring him down because he doesn t own
a mouth organ. If Delroy gets a mouth organ this would mean he has friends and he can be like the
others. His mom really didn t want to buy the mouth organ

The Skin We Seek Analysis
The Visions and Ciphers passage of The Skin We Ink by David Kirkland tells a story of literacy as it
relates to a black male. Similarly, Ta Nehisi Coates excerpt from his novel Between the World and Me
records his own literacy experience as a black male. Delving deeper than their surface similarities of
black male literacy, these two writings also explore the reason for literacy in their subjects lives.
According to Kirkland there is an assumptions of black males lack of literacy [that] relates to
assumptions of their lack of humanity because literacy is a human issue, and by denying literacy, one
also denies a person s humanity . Kirkland is trying to assert that an interpretation of literature/literacy
that boosts up African Americans and gives them credibility as intelligent beings is constantly
dismissed simply because those in power (Caucasian Americans) do not want to give any sort of ...

Coates literacy journey was a result of his own individual exploration of the world in general and
black history in particular. His literacy experience was almost accidental in a way. He did not embark
on his journey with the intention of seeking out the true definition of literacy, but rather trying to learn
more about black history and gain knowledge about the viewpoints of key black figures. The
sometimes directly contradictory ideas of these leaders forced him to begin a deeper exploration that
led Coates to gain an appreciation of the differences while still respecting and considering the varied
viewpoints. Coates journey ultimately led him away from the educational system and then straight
back to it. From this back and forth came about Coates own definition of literacy: a means of
understanding the world around you. For Coates, literacy was a means to an end. Overall, like Todd,
literacy aided him in better understanding the world around him and putting it into

Should The Articles Of Confederation Or Write A New...
In 1787, a group of fifty five American delegates, met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to attend the
Constitutional Convention to work out problems with the way the country was run. This involved
improving and revising the old Articles of Confederation. Instead of revising the Articles of
Confederation to make the government work better, the delegates came up with a plan for a new form
of government, the United States Constitution. During the writing and ratifying of the Constitution,
there were some fundamental issues being debated. The main debate was about whether to amend the
Articles of Confederation or write a new constitution. James Madison, a member of the Virginia
Assembly, moved the convention along but proposing a document he had drafted called the Virginia
Plan. The Virginia Plan created a central republican form of government. The government would

Delegates feared that the national government would have too much power over the states. William
Paterson came up with the New Jersey Plan. The Plan proposed for changes in the Articles of
Confederation that would let Congress regulate trade and tax imports, but would maintain state power.
The New Jersey Plan proposed a single legislature, a government that relied on the authority of the
state governments, more than one executive and one vote of legislation for each state. The plan
allowed each state to keep its independence. The plan did not stop the states from violating foreign
treaties, or from entering into treaties, or wars. James Madison was against the New Jersey Plan.
Madison insisted that the New Jersey Plan did not improve any of the flaws of the Articles of
Confederation. The Virginia Plan was finally approved as the plan to be used to construct the new
government. The approval of the Virginia Plan meant that the delegates were now committed to

Ode On A Grecian Urn John Keats Analysis
In the poem Ode on a Grecian Urn, John Keats talks about three drawings that he sees on an ancient
urn. Throughout the poem, Keats uses rhetorical questions, imagery, and a change in tone to explain to
the readers what he sees on the urn and the feelings he is getting from the old urn s pictures. He helps
the reader understand there is a deeper meaning beneath the surface of the art and how the urn is
teaching life lessons while it stays there silent. In the first stanza lines 5 7, the poem asks what leaf
fring d legend haunts about thy shape of deities or morals or both... , and this starts off the description
of the first drawing Keats sees on the urn. The first stanza ends with multiple rhetorical questions, and
Keats uses these questions as a way to get the reader to think about the images that he is seeing. He
also personifies the urn and is asking these questions to the urn. Even though the urn cannot respond,
he still asks the questions to get the reader to start visualizing what the drawing has. There are people
present, but he s asking if they are gods or mortal people. He s asking about the woman and what is
going on between the men and the woman, and he says what wild ecstasy (line 10) referencing a party
that might be going on. Now the reader can think about the kind of relationships the men and women
had back then. It could mean they would play with one another and be in a happy mood, or it could
have been the men were chasing the women because the women were

A Silence Ended in Scrap dragon by Naomi Kritzer Essay
Silence is always the calm before the storm. Many years can go by with calm but it takes only one
second of a storm for everyone to take notice. There is always another side to a story but it is rare that
people hear that side. The silence someone can hold inside is a powerful good or it can be a crushing
detriment. In the story Scrap dragon by
Naomi Kritzer she describes the story of a princess, but it s in the view of the reader.
The Reader happens to be someone reading a story to a younger child, and the child becomes a voice
to a voiceless heroine by rewriting the story as it is being recited to her. The princess in the original
story is destined for a possibly grim death. The little child out of feeling of sadness and an ... Show

Naomi Kritzer describes a story in within a story, as there is danger the Young Child edits the story
and turns it into a less gruesome scene. That can be described as giving a voice to a scared character
who didn t want to die and was given a second chance. Print cannot talk unless someone makes it talk
and brings it to life. Furthermore, the young child thinks the princess is possibly lonely and edits the
story by hoping that she has companions who happen to be animals follow her around. That is a fairy
tale trope that involves friendship and caring animals. As the princess ended up dying the young child
was not happy and when it was revealed that the safety of the city had another hope in the princess s
little sister, happiness returned to the story. The hope was the younger sister would fight the dragon,
but the young child provided a voice yet again and would rather the story not take another possible
horrific turn. The younger sister was named Heather and she also was voiceless, but like her older
sister the young child found a way to at least attempt to give her a voice. As Heather would call for her
dog the young child would say The dog better not die in this story. With reassurance the reader said
that the dog would not die. As the story continued the young child went from voice of the voiceless to

Theme Of Fate In Macbeth
The play Macbeth is a brilliant story told by William Shakespeare. There are a lot of themes in the
play that goes on and teaches about the ambition, the guilt, the fate versus free will concept and how
things are not what they seem. Therefore, all of those factor into how Macbeth is a very interesting
and very captivating story.
Shortly after Macbeth hears the prophecies of him becoming the Thane of Cawdor and the King of
Scotland, and after becoming the Thane of Cawdor a few moments later, he writes a letter to Lady
Macbeth about what he is thinking, which at the time is how he wants to do away with King Duncan.
... the fatal entrance of Duncan under my battlements. Come, you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts,
unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the toe tap full of direst cruelty (I. v. 40 44). Lady
Macbeth says to herself after hearing of Duncans arrival to Inverness. Lady Macbeth then wants to
have the strength to kill him by making her strong like a man. Later on, when Macduff flees to
England to find Malcolm to raise an army to take back the throne of Scotland from a tyrant, Macduff
says to Malcolm after Malcolm says he is very greedy and unfit to be king; Scotland has enough
treasures to satisfy you out of your own royal coffers (IV. iii. 90 91). Macduff tries to win over
Malcolm by tempting him to come back. Furthermore, he then tries to convince him to fight Macbeth
because of his love for Scotland and his ambition to take back the crown.

Social Pressures Reflected in Ginsberg s Howl
Post World War II America produced a number of images that will be forever imprinted on the minds
of Americans. Such images as television shows like Leave It To Beaver and I Love Lucy, movies such
as An Affair To Remember, and Brigadoon, are watched frequently even in today s society. But in this
world of fairytale movies and the American Dream, what about those who didn t fit into the picture of
perfection and prosperity? These men became the basis of an underground network of dissident

Such is the same in Howl.
Ginsberg does not spare the innocent reader. When one analyzes the social power of Ginsberg s
statements, one can come easily to the conclusion that society was not exactly welcoming to Ginsberg,
and he reacted to that through his writing, especially in Howl.
The second portion of Howl is commonly considered by critics to be the most complicated for the
average mind to comprehend. In this section, nearly every thing is described as a Moloch. Moloch, in
mythology was a God to whom children were sacrificed. Now, the term is commonly used to describe
anything responsible for destroying innocence. In Part II, Ginsberg describes nearly everything about
American culture to be a Moloch. Even society s viewpoints are Molochs. In a way, Ginsberg is
calling America itself a Moloch, and then continuing to describe parts of the whole.
Moloch whose mind is pure machinery! Moloch whose blood is running money! Moloch whose
fingers are ten armies! Moloch whose breast is a cannibal dynamo! Moloch whose ear is a smoking
tomb! (Ginsberg 21)
America is evil to Ginsberg because of the feelings of hatred and repulsion the society builds in him.
The third section of Howl is a striking contrast to the other two parts.

Genetic Algorithms And Its Applications Of Cyber Security
Genetic Algorithms and its Applications to Cyber Security Paper By Sameera Chalamalasetty
Guided By Dr. Mario A Garcia
Abstract:
Genetic algorithms (GAs) were initially proposed by John Holland, whose thoughts were connected
and developed by Goldberg. GAs are a heuristic pursuit procedure in view of the standards of the
Darwinian thought of survival of the fittest and characteristic genetics. Holland s work was basically
an endeavor to numerically comprehend the versatile procedures of nature, however the general
accentuation of GA examination from that point forward has been in discovering applications,
numerous in the field of combinatorial enhancement. Genetic algorithms have been utilized as a part
of science and engineering as versatile algorithms for tackling functional issues and as computational
models of common developmental frameworks. In the latest couple of decades, this procedure with
advancement of cutting edge development has accomplished something new.
Introduction:
Li [3] describes genetic algorithm as a family of computational models based on evolution and natural
selection. Bobor [4] has defined a genetic algorithm as a programming technique, which mimics
biological evolution as a problem solving approach.

Moral And Religious Education Help Fight Corruption With A...
In this paper I will be addressing the research question, to what extend does moral and religious
education help fight corruption with in a sovereign country. In the reading by Augusto López Claros, a
Director at the World Bank Group, he stated that the corruption can be combatted with religious and
moral education and by eliminating opportunities by doing away with rules that can encourage corrupt
behavior. In other words, to be successful in fighting corruption within a sovereign country, the
country needs to make deep cultural and structural changes. But is there any proof that shows that an
increase in moral and religious education and creating a more religious culture will actually fight
corruption? Mr. López Claros has control over ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Within this report, we will be mainly identifying political and grand corruption. However, the
participant observations are about petty corruption.
Masculinity: The masculinity side of culture represents a preference in achievement, heroism, and
material rewards as success. This is the opposite of femininity, which represents a preference for
cooperation, caring for the weak, and quality of life.
Power Distance: The power distance represents how the culture handles inequalities between people.
Higher power distance, the more the culture prefers and accepts a hierarchical order.
Individualism: The individualism dimension of a culture is where individuals are expected to take care
of only themselves and their immediate families. The opposite is collectivism, where an individual is
loyal to a particular in group.
Iceland
Background
The first case study is about Iceland. Iceland, according to the Corruption Perceptions Index of 2015
conducted by Transparency intentional, is ranked 13th out of 168 countries on corruption perception.
Iceland is a proactive country when it comes to fighting corruption. Only 3% of the population
reported paying a bribe in 2010, however 53% of Iceland s citizens feel that corruption has increased
since 2007. But that is largely due to Iceland s current affairs. For this case study, I will be looking at
the history of the Landsbanki bank and the Panama Papers with respect to Ólöf Nordal and Sigmundur

The Audience s Response to Let him have it! and The Daily Mail in Peter Medak s Film
How is the response of the audience manipulated in Peter Medak s film Let him have it! and The

In November 1952 a policeman was shot dead and another left wounded in what the Daily Mail called
a gun battle when Christopher Craig and Derek Bentley broke into the Barlow and Parker warehouse

What it evolved into wasn t a second battle of Sidney Street as the Daily Mail claims because Craig
was the only one shooting, until a police officer fired three warning shots into the air.
Leaving out bits of information such as how Craig jumped from the building after shooting the police
officer stops people from feeling sorry for the bandits and making up excuses for them like saying that
if he jumped he can t have meant it.
By writing about the gangsters as if they were shooting at everyone and not just to scare the police
away, the media have created an interesting story that people will want to read and find out how the
case progresses and what verdict it will get in court, which is the effect that they would have
anticipated.
The opening paragraph that declares that the London crime wave reached a new peak the night of 2nd
November 1952 is someone s opinion presented as a fact, as is the shootings on the roof being
associated with the Battle of Sidney Street . These are presented as facts so that people read them as
facts and believe them, whatever their own individual opinion is. Opinions will be argued with
because they are just someone s point of view whereas facts are solid, believable piece of information,

Examples Of Tone In The Birth Of The Jongleur
Literature has enabled all living life to communicate and build significant jobs since the dawn of time.
Likewise, reading and writing provide us with impeccable information and allows individuals to
liberally express their valid and unique opinions with different uses of toneーdetail, syntax and
imagery . This powerful addition to our communication allows society to thoroughly comprehend the
attitude in which an individual is speaking with. Regarding this, Mistero Buffo s story, The Birth of
the Jongleur initiates these values. To commence, Tone is a quality, feeling, or attitude expressed by
the words that someone uses in speaking or writing (Merriam Webster). Within this powerful passage,
readers can come to a conclusion that tone is a crucial structure of literature. Mistero Buffo exquisitely
showcases that tone defines the overall theme through detail, the mindset of the author s point of view
towards the fundamental topic presented and simply how imagery is used effectively so that readers
may envision the plot while reading. To commence, the word theme is defined as: The main subject
that is being discussed or described in a piece of writing, a movie, etc. or a particular subject or issue
that is discussed often or repeatedly (Merriam Webster). The themes associated with The Birth of the
Jongleur are Struggle and Aspiration, which is indicated through how the character preceded from a

Euthanasia And The Closely Related Procedure
Euthanasia and the closely related procedure, assisted suicide, are some of the most highly debated
topics in ethics. Although the procedures are different in name, their definitions are quite similar.
Euthanasia can be defined in two ways: passive or active. Passive euthanasia is defined as allowing
the patient s illness to kill them; refusing medical treatment. Active euthanasia, however, is defined as
killing through lethal injection, which also happens to be known as assisted suicide. From the
perspective of the deeply religious to those who just value the life of both themselves and others,
euthanasia and assisted suicide are fancy terms for murder. From my perspective, euthanasia and
assisted suicide are procedures that should only be allowed for those who are suffering from incurable
and physically painful illnesses that incapacitate them to the point where they cannot properly
function in society. What constitutes proper function in society will be discussed later on, but it plays a
pivotal role in the decision that one makes to die or not. Now some may disagree and say that no
matter the circumstance, one does not have the right to end their own life; this too will be discussed in
further detail. This essay will focus on the aspects mentioned above and will provide the necessary
answer to this debate between life and death.
As stated by Nowell Smith, but if we grant, as no doubt we all do, that everyone has a right to life, if

The Problem Of Aggression And Violence
Aggression and violence are common in every day life, so common everyone is exposed to it. Krahe
defines aggression as behavior that has intention to inflict negative consequences on a target with an
expectancy the action will have a particular outcome (2001).There are an innumerable amount of
studies to explain why aggression and violence occur, which are ranged from social and biosocial
explanations as seen by the frustration and aggression theory (Dollard, 1939), the excitement transfer
theory (Zillman, 1979), and the social learning theory (Bandura, 1961). Also ranged from biological
theories, such as, psychodynamic (Freud, 1920), evolutionary (Buss, 1990), and ethological (Lorenz,
1966). Aggression has many forms, from social, verbal and physical aggression and other serious
kinds of violence (Karriker Jaffe, Foshee, Ennett, Suchindran, 2008). Based on theories and studies; I
will propose my FIVEstop approach, which are 5 solutions that may help reduce aggressive in society,
and why the solutions may work. First, I recommend starting with children and parents. Since children
are our future adults who will grow to learn different behaviors and actions, I believe it is crucial to
reduce aggression in children first starting from birth. Many studies have shown that spanking
children causes aggression. Maccoby (1992) found that children who have experienced physical
discipline from their parents are more aggressive than those who have not. However, to understand

What Causes Hearing Impairment
Hearing impairment results in a considerable degree of impact in education, occupation and other
aspects in life. Because of lacking normal hearing as an important way to absorb information from the
outside world, communication usually become frustrated for hearing impaired students when interact
with their peer. They showed lower self awareness, self management, frustration tolerance and
impulsivity in their characteristics. Therefore, it is common to see emotional and social behavior
difficulties in hearing impaired individuals. As a speech and language pathologist, who is going to

And once they feel confident, they may use these strategies to interact with their peer in a small group
setting and than transit to real situation. Additionally, Barkere s study showed the strong relationship
between language, attention and behavioral problem. It pointed out that, language plays an important
role in regulation of attention, and sustained attention are related to internalizing and externalizing
behavior problems. Thus, to alleviate or prevent the behavior problem in children with SPHL, SLP
should also focus on their sustained attention at the same time to improving their regulatory skills.
Last but not least, it is important to encourage typically developing children the inclusion of all
children in the classroom. SLP may use stories or plays to educate the peers about hearing loss and
how can this impacts one s ability to communicate. Structural program is needed to help both groups
know the difference and eliminate the discrimination and exclusion.
The aspects list above that related to social behavior problems are important. They may improve
children s social life through the therapy sessions effectively and efficiently. However, hearing loss are
going to be with them in their whole life, to teach them about self determination and how to advocate
for themselves may enable them achieving a more positive adult outcomes. In Luckner and Sebald s

Reflective Essay On Greek Culture
My experience attending the Seminar on Greece with Dr. Khosrowshahi was a very interesting, fun
and informational way to gain knowledge of the different cultures and history of other parts of the
world. I do not have an extensive knowledge of Greek history or culture. I enjoyed learning the
different traditions and cultural rituals of the Greek culture. I learned a lot about the history of Greece
and how much the history influences many other cultures throughout the world. The most interesting
fact and important impression I took away from the seminar is my Mother s name is Diane , neither
my mother or myself knew the Greek history behind her name. I enjoyed how Dr. K used different
ways to involve the students at the seminar to become engaged in learning and experiencing Greek
culture. I found the drum performance quite exciting and interesting. Also, the young ladies
demonstrating their cultural dance skills were very entertaining. After learning more about Greek
culture, I found it very interesting how much the alphabet and language influences American English.
The part of the seminar I enjoyed most was Dr. K demonstrating his knowledge of Greek music by
demonstrating the drum. I enjoyed many other aspects of the seminar as well. I enjoyed the visuals,
including the pictures and videos used to provide a visual experience of Greek culture. The Greek
culture artifacts and photos from previous trips to Greece was inspiring and exciting to experience as
well. Also, student interaction was impressive throughout the entire seminar. There is not anything I
disliked about the seminar. The only thing I did not like was having to take off work to attend. This is
not anything involving the seminar or the presentation. Furthermore, I am thankful I was able to have
the opportunity to take off work to attend this continuing education experience.
Prior to this seminar, I was not aware of the extensive history of the Olympic Games. It was
interesting to learn the Olympics originated before Christ. Also, the Olympics truly represent the
uniting of different cultures, religions and races. This is a very inspirational and motivating experience
considering the current division of cultures. When

Evidence For Life After Death
Synoptic pt. b Evaluate the idea that there is no compelling evidence for life after death. (30)
Life after death is a concept that humanity has been trying to understand for millennia. It is an area
where science, religion, and philosophy intersect, with conflicting yet powerful views and evidence
that has formed and changed views in different sections of society. For religious believers, the
evidence is based upon God(s) and their solid faith in holy texts yet, all people, including religious
believers are influenced by the views put forward by science, experience, philosophy and individual
upbringings. 49 per cent of 9000 surveyed in 2012 by the University of London believe that there is
definitely or probably life after death, while ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In on September 5th 1998 she was cured of a stomach tumour after her husband couldn t afford further
medical treatment. On the first anniversary of Mother Teresa s death, two nuns tied an oval medallion
with a picture of Mother Teresa to her stomach, and she was cured. This could be seen as reliable
evidence for life after death as Mother Teresa seemingly performed a miracle from beyond the grave.
The family even took the step of converting to Christianity after her recovery in their conviction that
this was reliable evidence. Mother Teresa is on the path to sainthood after this miracle and her tomb is
a shrine where people are receiving grace and strength today. Cases of afterlife, resurrection and
reincarnation are commonly found amongst religious believers, leaders, and influential individuals

Scott Russell Sanders Staying Put Analysis
In Staying Put: Making a Home in a Restless World by Scott Russell Sanders, Sanders gives a precise
feedback to Salman Rushdie s essays, through cause and effect, examples and argument and
persuasion. The coalesce of these strategies implies Sander s effective verbal dispute of why he
quarrel(s) with Rushdie s beliefs, and at the same time elaborates clear point of view towards why a
uniform nation is more efficient. Through Sander s cynical diction, Sanders lets the the readers
deliberately realize the counterargument that he will present. Promised Land (line 5), crumbling (line

Anti-Semitism In Religion
I believe Christianity began as a religion of anti Semitism, however, I do not believe that tradition
remained the same in modern day society. Anti Semitism refers to the practice of discrimination and
hostility toward those who practice Judaism. Historically, anti Semitism was a long standing custom
of whichever empire or ruling power was in charge of Jerusalem and that custom did not exclude
Christians when they eventually rose to power during the time of the Roman Empire. In fact, several
early Christian homilies and dialogues were spoken against the practice of Judaism, primarily because
of their role in the death of Jesus. However, I believe that in modern times the practice of anti
Semitism has moved away from a primary religious standpoint and become more focused on cultural
practices. The first homily written against the Jews that blamed them for the death of Jesus was
preached by Melito of Sardis. The Bishop claims that the death of Jesus is the Jews extraordinary
crime, and condemns them for their role in it (143). Moreover, in this sermon, Melito outlines the
reasons why the Church of Christianity has displaced the Jewish people and made their religion
irrelevant. Melito sates that the type had value/ prior to its realization/ and the parable was wonderful/

Those include Justin Martyr, who stated that God destroyed the temple because the Jews had Jesus
killed and failed to be remorseful for their actions, and John Chrysostom, who blamed the Jews for
Jesus death and accused them of idolism and desecration of the scriptures. The continuation of anti
Semitism after Melito establishes early Christianity as an anti Semitic religion. Furthermore, the fact
that the early Christians used anti Semitism as their basis for superiority demonstrates that it is deeply
embedded in the Christian

Essay Political Unrest in Yemen, Terrorism, and America
The U.S. has a tough stance when it comes to terrorism, especially in regions where terrorist groups
look to take advantage of a people or a situation. In this paper I hope to answer questions pertaining to
how the political unrest in Yemen began, how Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula were formed and
what effects they have in the region as well as the implications to American policies and interests in
the Horn of Africa area. Yemen is a poor and unstable state where the political and social problems are
an issue that some groups will look to exploit while others have a vested interest in stability. An
analysis of the past and present political, economic and social issues in Yemen reveals two major
issues: The ability for terrorist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A civil war would ensue with the revolutionaries having the support of the Egyptians and the USSR
and the royalist receiving support from Saudi Arabia and Jordan until the eventual defeat of the
royalists in 1969. This would give way to a Republican government and the rise of current President
of Yemen, Ali Abdullah Saleh in 1990.
Britain controlled and occupied the south during the civil war in the north. In the 1960s the National
Liberation Front (NLF) would fight the British and with Soviet influence, the southern portion of
Yemen would become the first and only Marxist state in the Arab world winning independence in
1967. In 1990, the poor conditions and economic decay of the south would lead to a merger which
would form what we know today as The Republic of Yemen. The former leaders in the south would
find their way north in order to play a role in the newly formed government, but the current President
Saleh, who would retain his position in the newly formed state, would consistently overlook them.
The lack of representation and the steady decline of living conditions in southern Yemen would reach
a boiling point, and, in 1994 another civil war would be fought on Yemen soil, only this time the battle
was amongst the Yemeni people. Infuriated about differences over power sharing and the relative pace
of integration, southern Yemen would call for

Short Story Of Poinsettia
A long time ago, far far away was a little village called Icelandic. The little village was an
excruciatingly hot town, ruled by the powerful Goddess Pavlof. The villagers would daily be in pain
from the vibrant heat, they wouldn t complain for their queen; for they knew what would punish the
courageous soul. The villagers would try to leave, but always ended up back in their homes or find
some reason to stay in the boiling town until death. One day, a villager tired of being scared, a young
woman of the name Poinsettia. Though, she was small and weak young lady, she knew it was
imperative for her to take action. She just wanted was to feel some kind of coolness in her life, even
though all she ever felt was the blazing heat. With a positive in mind state nevertheless, Poinsettia
marched into the castle with her confidence up to the roof and stood high while faced with the queen,
Oh my dear goddess, may you let some of the cold air in the village? Sitting at her thrown, Goddess
Pavlof looked down at her for a minute before she started to cackle. The only sound that was heard
throughout the castle was her cackle echoing through the halls of the castle, as she wiped the tears in
her eyes from laughter Pavlof told her, The only way you ll ever feel the cold is if it rained from the
sky, said the Goddess. As she cackled, she signaled the guards to take her to the dungeon. Without
putting up a fight, she allowed the guards to lift her off the ground and take her to the freezing

In addition, these entities are individualized and empowered to sue others and be sued in return. This
makes it simple for citizens who have qualms with such corporations to seek the intervention of the
law since they are treated as such entities under the law. As constitution directs the procedures and
requirements for the formation of corporations, it similarly warns that failure to incorporate these
conditions will make corporations non viable and their claims inadmissible in courts. Corporations are
also limited by this article in their capacity to fund political actions and endeavors. Article 15 also
addresses the same issue of corporations only its concern is on public service commissions. It is in this
regard that this Article establishes the Arizona Corporation Commission (Arizona Corporation
Commission, 2010). As entities formed with the sole purpose of offering necessary services to
citizens, the commissions perform the role of regulating and providing public utilities. The
constitution also indicates that these corporations are under state regulation which aids in creating
accountability and effective operations in these bodies.
Finally, public education in Arizona is also another area which is strictly controlled by the Arizona
constitution. This is inclusive of all types of schools be it elementary, middle or high schools. Included

  • 2. Eradication, Containment, Control And Mitigation Eradication, containment, control and mitigation are the four main strategies for dealing with established invasive species (Wittenberg Cock, 2001). The options for each management strategy are varied based on the complexity of ecosystems, species richness, and climatic regions involved (Huston, 2004). During the implement of management programme, it is important to simultaneously monitor the impact of the actions, as some native species can also be affected by newly disturbances, the monitoring can identify negative unexpected results and allow us to change and adapt the programme to new approaches and situations (Huston, 2004; Wittenberg Cock, 2001). Eradication The aim of eradication is completely eliminating one or more invasive species from an area and provide the opportunity for complete rehabilitation of the habitat, and therefore eradication is considered as the most effective strategy once the prevention methods have failed, despite the actions are always costly and require full commitment and widespread support from the relevant agencies and public until completion (Department of the Environment, 2016; Mack et al., 2000; Wittenberg Cock, 2001). Eradication can be achieved by habitat management, and using of mechanical, chemical and biological control (Wittenberg Cock, 2001). Eradication programme has been used to eradicate the giant African snail (Achatina fulica) population in south Florida and Queensland, various combinations of 12 mammal species from ... In this time, a wide range of new reforms came and improve the conditions in the United States. During this time, the desire social reforms were huge, both for religious and political roots. As we know, America was defined as a democracy, more than ever people took part in the government. Although many thought differently, they looked towards the promises of equality and liberty in the Declaration of Independence. They said if America was a democracy, women would be made equal, and slavery would be outlawed. By resolving these infringements, the United States shifted towards its political ideals. • 4. African Americans During World War I Many African Americans had moved north during the Great Migration to escape conditions in the south, but found that discrimination was still prevalent in northern cities. African Americans not only had difficulties finding jobs, but still felt the stigma of being black. Living within the time of legal discrimination, many African Americans soon realized that though they may have escaped the violence of the south, they still had to deal with the challenges and setbacks of being black in America. The Great Migration began in the 1910s and 1920s during World War I. The second wave of migration of Blacks to the north and west began in the 1940s during and after World War II (Alexander, 1998, p. 352). With the war going on, many black people found jobs due to the numerous openings of those fighting in the war. But once the war ended, white soldiers came back, finding blacks filling their jobs and wanting them back. Black men had particularly difficult times finding jobs; they were the last to be hired or accepted in the unions and were the first to be let go during the Depression (Dyer, 2001). Not only did the new immigrants face tension with whites over jobs, but also with Northern blacks, who believed that the migrants threatened their social, economic and political security (Tolnay 1997, p.1216). African Americans in the north and south were able to face blatant discrimination in jobs, housing, wages and other areas of public life because of the enforcement of Jim Crow ... • 5. Native Americans After Reconstruction Option 2 There were three important people that had very different views on how to reconstruct the Union. Reconstruction was, according to The Americans by McDougal Littell, the period during which the United States began to rebuild after the Civil War (Page 376). It started in 1865 and ended in 1877. The views on how Reconstruction should happen were very different for each of these people: Abraham Lincoln, the Radical Republicans, and Andrew Johnson. Abraham Lincoln had very unique views and ideas on how Reconstruction should be planned. He wanted to make the South s return to the Union as quick and easy as possible (McDougal Littell, 2005, page 377). He also came up with the Ten Percent Plan, which meant that the government ... The Indians were ridiculed and manipulated because of many different bills passed in the 1800 s and their land was decreasing in size and amount of food sources and land. The effects of the Indian Removal Act, Westward expansion, and the Dawes Act on the Native Americans in the 1800 s were abundant. The Indian Removal Act was a bill signed by President Andrew. This act enabled the president to give grants for unsettled land west of the Mississippi river, in exchange for Indian lands within existing state border ( Primary Documents in American History. Library of Congress, 2015). So, the Indian tribes were forcibly taking form their homes and moved to the west, because of this act. Westward expansion effected the Native Americans because the Indians lived in these areas. First, the pioneers started to kill the bison, the Indian s main food source, which lessened the amount of bison in the area causing hunger in Native American tribes ( Buffalo Hunters in the Old West. Buffalo Hunters in the Old West, 2015). Next, they moved into the Native s lands to build houses and farms. Searching for gold was another problem, because the gold miners would search in their sacred hills, disturbing peace between the two. ( America Indians and Western Expansion, ... The effectiveness of HCI can be measured by the understanding of the user and to what extent the user has the knowledge and understanding of the HCI. Berry s writing sometimes explores the relationship between black and white communities, in particular the excitement and troubles in the coming relationship of the Carribean immigrants with the British. Berry s The Mouth Organ Boys deals with a boy named Delroy, who longs to have a mouth organ like the other boys, so he can fit in with the white boys who have a mouth organ. • 8. The Skin We Seek Analysis The Visions and Ciphers passage of The Skin We Ink by David Kirkland tells a story of literacy as it relates to a black male. Similarly, Ta Nehisi Coates excerpt from his novel Between the World and Me records his own literacy experience as a black male. Delving deeper than their surface similarities of black male literacy, these two writings also explore the reason for literacy in their subjects lives. According to Kirkland there is an assumptions of black males lack of literacy [that] relates to assumptions of their lack of humanity because literacy is a human issue, and by denying literacy, one also denies a person s humanity . The sometimes directly contradictory ideas of these leaders forced him to begin a deeper exploration that led Coates to gain an appreciation of the differences while still respecting and considering the varied viewpoints. Coates journey ultimately led him away from the educational system and then straight back to it. • 9. Should The Articles Of Confederation Or Write A New... In 1787, a group of fifty five American delegates, met in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to attend the Constitutional Convention to work out problems with the way the country was run. This involved improving and revising the old Articles of Confederation. Instead of revising the Articles of Confederation to make the government work better, the delegates came up with a plan for a new form of government, the United States Constitution. During the writing and ratifying of the Constitution, there were some fundamental issues being debated. The main debate was about whether to amend the Articles of Confederation or write a new constitution. The plan allowed each state to keep its independence. The plan did not stop the states from violating foreign treaties, or from entering into treaties, or wars. James Madison was against the New Jersey Plan. Madison insisted that the New Jersey Plan did not improve any of the flaws of the Articles of Confederation. • 10. Ode On A Grecian Urn John Keats Analysis In the poem Ode on a Grecian Urn, John Keats talks about three drawings that he sees on an ancient urn. Throughout the poem, Keats uses rhetorical questions, imagery, and a change in tone to explain to the readers what he sees on the urn and the feelings he is getting from the old urn s pictures. He helps the reader understand there is a deeper meaning beneath the surface of the art and how the urn is teaching life lessons while it stays there silent. In the first stanza lines 5 7, the poem asks what leaf fring d legend haunts about thy shape of deities or morals or both... , and this starts off the description of the first drawing Keats sees on the urn. The first stanza ends with multiple rhetorical questions, and Keats uses these questions as a way to get the reader to think about the images that he is seeing. He also personifies the urn and is asking these questions to the urn. Even though the urn cannot respond, he still asks the questions to get the reader to start visualizing what the drawing has. There are people present, but he s asking if they are gods or mortal people. He s asking about the woman and what is going on between the men and the woman, and he says what wild ecstasy (line 10) referencing a party that might be going on. The silence someone can hold inside is a powerful good or it can be a crushing detriment. In the story Scrap dragon by Naomi Kritzer she describes the story of a princess, but it s in the view of the reader. There are a lot of themes in the play that goes on and teaches about the ambition, the guilt, the fate versus free will concept and how things are not what they seem. Therefore, all of those factor into how Macbeth is a very interesting and very captivating story. Shortly after Macbeth hears the prophecies of him becoming the Thane of Cawdor and the King of Scotland, and after becoming the Thane of Cawdor a few moments later, he writes a letter to Lady Macbeth about what he is thinking, which at the time is how he wants to do away with King Duncan. ... the fatal entrance of Duncan under my battlements. Such is the same in Howl. Ginsberg does not spare the innocent reader. When one analyzes the social power of Ginsberg s statements, one can come easily to the conclusion that society was not exactly welcoming to Ginsberg, and he reacted to that through his writing, especially in Howl. The second portion of Howl is commonly considered by critics to be the most complicated for the average mind to comprehend. In this section, nearly every thing is described as a Moloch. Moloch, in mythology was a God to whom children were sacrificed. Now, the term is commonly used to describe anything responsible for destroying innocence. In Part II, Ginsberg describes nearly everything about American culture to be a Moloch. Even society s viewpoints are Molochs. In a way, Ginsberg is calling America itself a Moloch, and then continuing to describe parts of the whole. Moloch whose mind is pure machinery! Moloch whose blood is running money! Moloch whose fingers are ten armies! Moloch whose breast is a cannibal dynamo! Moloch whose ear is a smoking tomb! • 14. Genetic Algorithms And Its Applications Of Cyber Security Genetic Algorithms and its Applications to Cyber Security Paper By Sameera Chalamalasetty Guided By Dr. Mario A Garcia Abstract: Genetic algorithms (GAs) were initially proposed by John Holland, whose thoughts were connected and developed by Goldberg. GAs are a heuristic pursuit procedure in view of the standards of the Darwinian thought of survival of the fittest and characteristic genetics. Holland s work was basically an endeavor to numerically comprehend the versatile procedures of nature, however the general accentuation of GA examination from that point forward has been in discovering applications, numerous in the field of combinatorial enhancement. Genetic algorithms have been utilized as a part of science and engineering as versatile algorithms for tackling functional issues and as computational models of common developmental frameworks. In the latest couple of decades, this procedure with advancement of cutting edge development has accomplished something new. Introduction: Li [3] describes genetic algorithm as a family of computational models based on evolution and natural selection. Bobor [4] has defined a genetic algorithm as a programming technique, which mimics biological evolution as a problem solving approach. An early ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In this paper I will be addressing the research question, to what extend does moral and religious education help fight corruption with in a sovereign country. In the reading by Augusto López Claros, a Director at the World Bank Group, he stated that the corruption can be combatted with religious and moral education and by eliminating opportunities by doing away with rules that can encourage corrupt behavior. In other words, to be successful in fighting corruption within a sovereign country, the country needs to make deep cultural and structural changes. Masculinity: The masculinity side of culture represents a preference in achievement, heroism, and material rewards as success. This is the opposite of femininity, which represents a preference for cooperation, caring for the weak, and quality of life. Power Distance: The power distance represents how the culture handles inequalities between people. Higher power distance, the more the culture prefers and accepts a hierarchical order. Individualism: The individualism dimension of a culture is where individuals are expected to take care of only themselves and their immediate families. The opposite is collectivism, where an individual is loyal to a particular in group. Iceland Background The first case study is about Iceland. • 18. Examples Of Tone In The Birth Of The Jongleur Literature has enabled all living life to communicate and build significant jobs since the dawn of time. Likewise, reading and writing provide us with impeccable information and allows individuals to liberally express their valid and unique opinions with different uses of toneーdetail, syntax and imagery . This powerful addition to our communication allows society to thoroughly comprehend the attitude in which an individual is speaking with. Regarding this, Mistero Buffo s story, The Birth of the Jongleur initiates these values. To commence, Tone is a quality, feeling, or attitude expressed by the words that someone uses in speaking or writing (Merriam Webster). Within this powerful passage, readers can come to a conclusion that tone is a crucial structure of literature. Mistero Buffo exquisitely showcases that tone defines the overall theme through detail, the mindset of the author s point of view towards the fundamental topic presented and simply how imagery is used effectively so that readers may envision the plot while reading. To commence, the word theme is defined as: The main subject that is being discussed or described in a piece of writing, a movie, etc. or a particular subject or issue that is discussed often or repeatedly (Merriam Webster). • 20. Euthanasia And The Closely Related Procedure Euthanasia and the closely related procedure, assisted suicide, are some of the most highly debated topics in ethics. Although the procedures are different in name, their definitions are quite similar. Euthanasia can be defined in two ways: passive or active. Passive euthanasia is defined as allowing the patient s illness to kill them; refusing medical treatment. Active euthanasia, however, is defined as killing through lethal injection, which also happens to be known as assisted suicide. From the perspective of the deeply religious to those who just value the life of both themselves and others, euthanasia and assisted suicide are fancy terms for murder. From my perspective, euthanasia and assisted suicide are procedures that should only be allowed for those who are suffering from incurable and physically painful illnesses that incapacitate them to the point where they cannot properly function in society. What constitutes proper function in society will be discussed later on, but it plays a pivotal role in the decision that one makes to die or not. Now some may disagree and say that no matter the circumstance, one does not have the right to end their own life; this too will be discussed in further detail. • 21. The Problem Of Aggression And Violence Aggression and violence are common in every day life, so common everyone is exposed to it. Krahe defines aggression as behavior that has intention to inflict negative consequences on a target with an expectancy the action will have a particular outcome (2001).There are an innumerable amount of studies to explain why aggression and violence occur, which are ranged from social and biosocial explanations as seen by the frustration and aggression theory (Dollard, 1939), the excitement transfer theory (Zillman, 1979), and the social learning theory (Bandura, 1961). Also ranged from biological theories, such as, psychodynamic (Freud, 1920), evolutionary (Buss, 1990), and ethological (Lorenz, 1966). Aggression has many forms, from social, verbal and physical aggression and other serious kinds of violence (Karriker Jaffe, Foshee, Ennett, Suchindran, 2008). Based on theories and studies; I will propose my FIVEstop approach, which are 5 solutions that may help reduce aggressive in society, and why the solutions may work. First, I recommend starting with children and parents. Since children are our future adults who will grow to learn different behaviors and actions, I believe it is crucial to reduce aggression in children first starting from birth. Many studies have shown that spanking children causes aggression. Maccoby (1992) found that children who have experienced physical discipline from their parents are more aggressive than those who have not. However, to understand ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I learned a lot about the history of Greece and how much the history influences many other cultures throughout the world. The most interesting fact and important impression I took away from the seminar is my Mother s name is Diane , neither my mother or myself knew the Greek history behind her name. I enjoyed how Dr. K used different ways to involve the students at the seminar to become engaged in learning and experiencing Greek culture. I found the drum performance quite exciting and interesting. Also, the young ladies demonstrating their cultural dance skills were very entertaining. After learning more about Greek culture, I found it very interesting how much the alphabet and language influences American English. The part of the seminar I enjoyed most was Dr. K demonstrating his knowledge of Greek music by demonstrating the drum. I enjoyed many other aspects of the seminar as well. I enjoyed the visuals, including the pictures and videos used to provide a visual experience of Greek culture. The Greek culture artifacts and photos from previous trips to Greece was inspiring and exciting to experience as well. Also, student interaction was impressive throughout the entire seminar. There is not anything I disliked about the seminar. The only thing I did not like was having to take off work to attend. This is not anything involving the seminar or the presentation. • 26. Anti-Semitism In Religion I believe Christianity began as a religion of anti Semitism, however, I do not believe that tradition remained the same in modern day society. Anti Semitism refers to the practice of discrimination and hostility toward those who practice Judaism. Historically, anti Semitism was a long standing custom of whichever empire or ruling power was in charge of Jerusalem and that custom did not exclude Christians when they eventually rose to power during the time of the Roman Empire. In fact, several early Christian homilies and dialogues were spoken against the practice of Judaism, primarily because of their role in the death of Jesus. However, I believe that in modern times the practice of anti Semitism has moved away from a primary religious standpoint and become more focused on cultural practices. The first homily written against the Jews that blamed them for the death of Jesus was preached by Melito of Sardis. The Bishop claims that the death of Jesus is the Jews extraordinary crime, and condemns them for their role in it (143). Moreover, in this sermon, Melito outlines the reasons why the Church of Christianity has displaced the Jewish people and made their religion irrelevant.
