This document analyzes and compares the performance of five wireless sensor network clustering protocols: LEACH, EEHC, the protocol by Indranil et al., HEED, and DWEHC. It discusses the operation and key aspects of each protocol, defines quantitative and qualitative performance metrics for analyzing clustering protocols, and presents the results of simulations comparing the protocols based on metrics like total residual energy, number of dead nodes, aggregated data sent to the base station, and overhead. The analysis found that DWEHC performed the best overall by efficiently distributing energy usage through multi-level clustering and minimizing direct communication between nodes and the base station.
A new clustering technique based on replication for MANET routing protocolsTELKOMNIKA JOURNAL
The cluster head nodes in most mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) clustering protocols take on an extraordinary role in managing routing information. The reliability, efficiency and scalability of the clustering in MANET will ultimately be dramatically impacted. In this work we establish a new approach to form the clusters in MANET called the square cluster-based routing protocol (SCBRP). That protocol is based on the theory of replication. The goal of the protocol is to achieve reliability, availability and scalability with in the MANET. The proposed protocol is evaluated by caring the performance analysis using the NS-3 simulator. The performance shows 50% improvementin data delivering ratio in large network size, also shows an improvement in network stability and availability which is reflected in energy consumption measurements and increase in the system lifetime to 20%.
A Routing Protocol Orphan-Leach to Join Orphan Nodes in Wireless Sensor Netwo...csandit
The hierarchical routing protocol LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) is
referred to as the basic algorithm of distributed clustering protocols. LEACH allows clusters
formation. Each cluster has a leader called Cluster Head (CH). The selection of CHs is made
with a probabilistic calculation. It is supposed that each non-CH node join a cluster and
becomes a cluster member. Nevertheless, some CHs can be concentrated in a specific part of the
network. Thus several sensor nodes cannot reach any CH. As a result, the remaining part of the
controlled field will not be covered; some sensor nodes will be outside the network. To solve this
problem, we propose O-LEACH (Orphan Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) a routing
protocol that takes into account the orphan nodes. Indeed, a cluster member will be able to play
the role of a gateway which allows the joining of orphan nodes. If a gateway node has to
connect a important number of orphan nodes, thus a sub-cluster is created and the gateway
node is considered as a CH’ for connected orphans. As a result, orphan nodes become able to
send their data messages to the CH which performs in turn data aggregation and send
aggregated data message to the CH. The WSN application receives data from the entire network
including orphan nodes.
The simulation results show that O-LEACH performs better than LEACH in terms of
connectivity rate, energy, scalability and coverage.

IMPROVING PACKET DELIVERY RATIO WITH ENHANCED CONFIDENTIALITY IN MANETijcsa
In Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET), the collection of mobile nodes gets communicated without the need of any customary infrastructure. In MANET, repeated topology changes and intermittent link breakage
causes the failure of existing path. This leads to rediscovery of new route by broadcasting RREQ packet. The number of RREQ packet in the network gets added due to the increased amount of link failures. This result in increased routing overhead which degrades the packet delivery ratio in MANET. While designing
routing protocols for MANET, it is indispensable to reduce the overhead in route discovery. In our previous
work[17], routing protocol based on neighbour details and probabilistic knowledge is utilized, additionally
the symmetric cipher AES is used for securing the data packet. Through this protocol, packet delivery ratio
gets increased and confidentiality is ensured. But there is a problem in secure key exchange among the
source and destination while using AES. To resolve that problem, hybrid cryptographic system i.e.,
combination of AES and RSA is proposed in this paper. By using this hybrid cryptographic scheme and the
routing protocol based on probability and neighbour knowledge, enhanced secure packet delivery is
ensured in MANET

A Survey on Routing Protocols in Wireless Sensor Network Using Mobile SinkIJEEE
Wireless sensor network (WSN) is collection of large number of sensor nodes which senses the physical conditions of environment and send the data to sink. WSN can be classified as static and mobile WSN. In static routing protocol, energy consumption is not uniformly distributed. To avoid this problem, wireless sensor network with mobile sink can be used, where mobile sink gathers data from other nodes using 1-hop communication. In this paper, we presented the various types of WSN. At last, we compared the various routing protocol of WSN with mobile sink based on parameter no. of sinks, mobility of CH and mobility pattern.
In wireless network communication, the energy efficiency is obtained from throughput of data transmission. During the network traffic and failure of data transmission, the energy efficiency and lifetime of network can be reduced in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). For this problem, we propose a duty cycling preservation scheme with Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP). Interior Gateway Routing is used to preserve energy by reducing the network traffic in which the routing decisions are managed on network automatically. It reduces the workload on amount of data needs to be transferred, so the throughput is accomplished by EIGRP for WSN. The EIGRP based on diffused update algorithm to find the shortest path to goal of network. The duty cycling is commonly used for preserving energy effectively. In this process, the cluster heads play a major function in WSN. The aim of this paper is to extend a network lifetime and to preserve the energy by using EIGRP.

There are many challenges when designing and deploying wireless sensor networks (WSNs). One of the key challenges is how to make full use of the limited energy to prolong the lifetime of the network, because energy is a valuable resource in WSNs. The status of energy consumption should be continuously monitored after network deployment. In this paper, we propose coverage and connectivity aware neural network based energy efficient routing in WSN with the objective of maximizing the network lifetime. In the proposed scheme, the problem is formulated as linear programming (LP) with coverage and connectivity aware constraints. Cluster head selection is proposed using adaptive learning in neural networks followed by coverage and connectivity aware routing with data transmission. The proposed scheme is compared with existing schemes with respect to the parameters such as number of alive nodes, packet delivery fraction, and node residual energy. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can be used in wide area of applications in WSNs.

Minimizing energy consumption and maximizing network lifespan are significant issues in the design of routing protocols for sensor networks. In this paper, we analyses the efficiency of LEACH protocol in extending the existence for energy-constrained wireless sensor networks. Based on LEACH protocol, an enhanced protocol termed as R- LEACH is proposed which aims to diminish energy consumption within the wireless sensor networks. The simulation results suggest R-LEACH protocol could equilibrium network energy consumption and extend the network lifecycle more successfully as compared to LEACH.

In this paper, we have implemented and analyzed different clustering protocols, namely LEACH, LEACH-C, LEACH-1R, and HEED using MATLAB environment. These routing protocols are compared in different terms such as residual energy, data delivery to the base station, number of rounds and live nodes
Compare and Analyses of Optimized R-Leach With Leach Algorithm In WSN ijsc
Wireless sensor networks are composed of numerous small charge, little power devices with sensing, local processing and wireless communication capabilities.
IMPROVEMENT OF LEACH AND ITS VARIANTS IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKIAEME Publication
Sensor webs consisting of nodes with limited battery power and wireless communications are deployed to collect useful information from the field. Gathering sensed information in an energy efficient manner is critical to operate the sensor network for a long period of time. A data collection problem is defined where, in a round of communication, each sensor node has a packet to be sent to the distant base station. If each node transmits its sensed data directly to the base station then it will deplete its power quickly. Since wireless communications consume significant amounts of battery power, sensor nodes should spend as little energy as possible receiving and transmitting data.

An Improved LEACH-C Algorithm for Energy Efficiency in WSN Routingijsrd.com
this paper considered a multi-objective LEACH-C algorithm in the selection of Cluster Head (CH) in such a way so that its energy is used uniformly with load balancing among clusters for delayed disintegration of network. LEACH-C algorithm based single objective clustering approach has been replaced by multi-objective clustering approach where we not only considered the residual energy of nodes but the size of cluster in creating a cluster structure. The improved LEACH-C protocol has been compared with random LEACH and Max Energy LEACH or existing LEACH-C algorithm for energy equi-distribution and load balancing among clusters. Wireless sensor network (WSN) is simulated using a MATLAB programming and power consumption algorithms take into consideration all aspects of power consumption in the operation of the node. The modified LEACH-C routing protocol shows improvements in lifetime as well as in network disintegration criterion
Prolong Lifetime Analysis and Efficient Utilization of Energy in Heterogeneou...IJTET Journal
Abstract - The clustering-based protocols are believed to be the best for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The evaluation is based on two new clustering-based protocols, which are called single-hop energy-efficient clustering protocol (S-EECP) and multi-hop energy-efficient clustering protocol (M-EECP) [1]. In S-EECP, the cluster heads (CHs) are elected by a weighted probability [2] based on the ratio between average energy of the network and residual energy of each node. The nodes having more initial energy and residual energy will have more chances to be elected as CHs than nodes with low energy. In M-EECP, the election of CHs is same as S-EECP, but the elected CHs communicate the data packets to the base station via multi-hop communication approach. To analyze the network lifetime three types of sensor nodes equipped with different battery energy are assumed. By analyzing these parameters, M-EECP achieves load balance among the CHs better than the existing clustering protocols and gives prolong network lifetime. Here the simulation is based on ns-2 simulator.
Optimizing the Performance of I-mod Leach-PD Protocol in Wireless Sensor Netw...ijsrd.com
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) is a networks of thousands of inexpensive miniature devices capable of computation, communication and sensing. WSN is being been attracting increasing interest for supporting a new generation of ubiquitous computing systems with great potential for many applications such as surveillance, environmental monitoring, health care monitoring or home automation. In the near future, wireless sensor network is expected to consists of thousand of inexpensive nodes, each having sensing capability with limited computational and communication power which enables to deploy large scale sensor networks. Large scale WSN is usually implemented as a cluster network. Clustering sensors into groups, so that sensors communicate information only to cluster-heads and then the cluster-heads communicate the aggregated information to the base station, saves energy and thus prolongs network lifetime. LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) protocol is one of the clustering routing protocols in wireless sensor networks. The advantage of LEACH is that each node has the equal probability to be a cluster head, which makes the energy dissipation of each node be relatively balanced. In LEACH protocol, time is divided into many rounds, in each round, all the nodes contend to be cluster head according to a predefined criterion. This paper focuses on how to set the time length of each round, how to adjust threshold based on the residual energy, and the measurement of energy required for transmission, based on the distance of cluster head from the base station, to prolong the lifetime of the network and increase throughput, which is denoted as the amount of data packs sent to the sink node. The functions of residual energy and required energy, and the time length of each round are deduced, thereby modifying the threshold value calculation. These functions can be used to enhance the performance of cluster-based wireless sensor networks in terms of lifetime and throughput.
Magnify Network Lifetime in WSN by Reducing Data Aggregation Distance of Weak...ijwmn
Energy efficient protocols have always played a vital role in conservation of energy in Wireless Sensor
Network. One of the major introduced protocols is LEACH a cluster based protocol. To improve its
performance, an algorithm named as Maximizing the Network Lifetime of Clustered-based WSN Using
Probability of Residual Energy is introduced. This protocol improved the Cluster Head selection process of
LEACH by using the concept of residual energy. In the proposed paper, further improvement is done by
enhancing the data transmission process. This process heightens the lifetime of the nodes having very less
energy left by reducing their data transmission distance. Implemented results in MATLAB shows increase
in the stability and lifetime of the network..
A NOVEL APPROACH FOR ENERGY EFFICIENT HIERARCHY BASED ROUTING IN SENSOR NETWO...cscpconf
Wireless sensor network (WSN) is the collection of many micro-sensor nodes, connecting each other by a
wireless medium. WSN exhibits different approaches to provide reliable sensing of the environment,
detecting and reporting events. In this paper, we have proposed an algorithm for hierarchy based protocols
of wireless sensor networks, which consist of two groups of sensor nodes in a single cluster node. Each
cluster consists of a three cluster head. The event driven data sensing mechanism is used in this paper and
this sensed data is transmitted to the master section head. Hence efficient way of data transmission is possible with larger group of nodes. In this approach, using hierarchy based protocols; the lifetime of the sensor network is increased.
INCREASE THE LIFETIME OF WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS USING HIERARCHICAL CLUSTERI...ijwmn
Wireless sensor networks consist of hundreds or thousands of nodes with limited energy. Since the life time
of each sensor is equivalent to the battery life, the energy issue is considered as a major challenge.
Clustering has been proposed as a strategy to extend the lifetime of wireless sensor networks. Cluster size,
number of Cluster head per cluster and the selection of cluster head are considered as important factors in
clustering. In this research by studying LEACH algorithm and optimized algorithms of this protocol and by
evaluating the strengths and weaknesses, a new algorithm based on hierarchical clustering to increase the
lifetime of the sensor network is proposed. In this study, with a special mechanism the environment of
network is layered and the optimal number of cluster head in each layer is selected and then recruit for the
formation of clusters in the same layer by controlling the topology of the clusters is done independently.
Then the data is sent through the by cluster heads through the multi- stage to the main station. Simulation
results show that the above mentioned method increases the life time about 70% compared to the LEACH.

BROAD UNEXPOSED SKILLS OF TRANSGENDER ENTREPRENEURSIAEME Publication
Since ages gender difference is always a debatable theme whether caused by nature, evolution or environment. The birth of a transgender is dreadful not only for the child but also for their parents. The pain of living in the wrong physique and treated as second class victimized citizen is outrageous and fully harboured with vicious baseless negative scruples. For so long, social exclusion had perpetuated inequality and deprivation experiencing ingrained malign stigma and besieged victims of crime or violence across their life spans. They are pushed into the murky way of life with a source of eternal disgust, bereft sexual potency and perennial fear. Although they are highly visible but very little is known about them. The common public needs to comprehend the ravaged arrogance on these insensitive souls and assist in integrating them into the mainstream by offering equal opportunity, treat with humanity and respect their dignity. Entrepreneurship in the current age is endorsing the gender fairness movement. Unstable careers and economic inadequacy had inclined one of the gender variant people called Transgender to become entrepreneurs. These tiny budding entrepreneurs resulted in economic transition by means of employment, free from the clutches of stereotype jobs, raised standard of living and handful of financial empowerment. Besides all these inhibitions, they were able to witness a platform for skill set development that ignited them to enter into entrepreneurial domain. This paper epitomizes skill sets involved in trans-entrepreneurs of Thoothukudi Municipal Corporation of Tamil Nadu State and is a groundbreaking determination to sightsee various skills incorporated and the impact on entrepreneurship.

Living in 21st century in itself reminds all of us the necessity of police and its administration. As more and more we are entering into the modern society and culture, the more we require the services of the so called ‘Khaki Worthy’ men i.e., the police personnel. Whether we talk of Indian police or the other nation’s police, they all have the same recognition as they have in India. But as already mentioned, their services and requirements are different after the like 26th November, 2008 incidents, where they without saving their own lives has sacrificed themselves without any hitch and without caring about their respective family members and wards. In other words, they are like our heroes and mentors who can guide us from the darkness of fear, militancy, corruption and other dark sides of life and so on. Now the question arises, if Gandhi would have been alive today, what would have been his reaction/opinion to the police and its functioning? Would he have some thing different in his mind now what he had been in his mind before the partition or would he be going to start some Satyagraha in the form of some improvement in the functioning of the police administration? Really these questions or rather night mares can come to any one’s mind, when there is too much confusion is prevailing in our minds, when there is too much corruption in the society and when the polices working is also in the questioning because of one or the other case throughout the India. It is matter of great concern that we have to thing over our administration and our practical approach because the police personals are also like us, they are part and parcel of our society and among one of us, so why we all are pin pointing towards them.

Banking regulations act of India, 1949 defines banking as “acceptance of deposits for the purpose of lending or investment from the public, repayment on demand or otherwise and withdrawable through cheques, drafts order or otherwise”, the major participants of the Indian financial system are commercial banks, the financial institution encompassing term lending institutions. Investments institutions, specialized financial institution and the state level development banks, non banking financial companies (NBFC) and other market intermediaries such has the stock brokers and money lenders are among the oldest of the certain variants of NBFC and the oldest market participants. The asset quality of banks is one of the most important indicators of their financial health. The Indian banking sector has been facing severe problems of increasing Non- Performing Assets (NPAs). The NPAs growth directly and indirectly affects the quality of assets and profitability of banks. It also shows the efficiency of banks credit risk management and the recovery effectiveness. NPA do not generate any income, whereas, the bank is required to make provisions for such as assets that why is a double edge weapon. This paper outlines the concept of quality of bank loans of different types like Housing, Agriculture and MSME loans in state Haryana of selected public and private sector banks. This study is highlighting problems associated with the role of commercial bank in financing Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME). The overall objective of the research was to assess the effect of the financing provisions existing for the setting up and operations of MSMEs in the country and to generate recommendations for more robust financing mechanisms for successful operation of the MSMEs, in turn understanding the impact of MSME loans on financial institutions due to NPA. There are many research conducted on the topic of Non- Performing Assets (NPA) Management, concerning particular bank, comparative study of public and private banks etc. In this paper the researcher is considering the aggregate data of selected public sector and private sector banks and attempts to compare the NPA of Housing, Agriculture and MSME loans in state Haryana of public and private sector banks. ROLE OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIA - PROBLEMS AND ...IAEME Publication
The majority of the population in India lives in villages. The village is the back bone of the country. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Developing the rural economy is one of the key indicators towards a country’s success. Whether it be the need to look after the welfare of the farmers or invest in rural infrastructure, Governments have to ensure that rural development isn’t compromised. The economic development of our country largely depends on the progress of rural areas and the standard of living of rural masses. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Rural entrepreneurship is based on stimulating local entrepreneurial talent and the subsequent growth of indigenous enterprises. It recognizes opportunity in the rural areas and accelerates a unique blend of resources either inside or outside of agriculture. Rural entrepreneurship brings an economic value to the rural sector by creating new methods of production, new markets, new products and generate employment opportunities thereby ensuring continuous rural development. Social Entrepreneurship has the direct and primary objective of serving the society along with the earning profits. So, social entrepreneurship is different from the economic entrepreneurship as its basic objective is not to earn profits but for providing innovative solutions to meet the society needs which are not taken care by majority of the entrepreneurs as they are in the business for profit making as a sole objective. So, the Social Entrepreneurs have the huge growth potential particularly in the developing countries like India where we have huge societal disparities in terms of the financial positions of the population. Still 22 percent of the Indian population is below the poverty line and also there is disparity among the rural & urban population in terms of families living under BPL. 25.7 percent of the rural population & 13.7 percent of the urban population is under BPL which clearly shows the disparity of the poor people in the rural and urban areas. The need to develop social entrepreneurship in agriculture is dictated by a large number of social problems. Such problems include low living standards, unemployment, and social tension. The reasons that led to the emergence of the practice of social entrepreneurship are the above factors. OPTIMAL RECONFIGURATION OF POWER DISTRIBUTION RADIAL NETWORK USING HYBRID MET...IAEME Publication
Distribution system is a critical link between the electric power distributor and the consumers. Most of the distribution networks commonly used by the electric utility is the radial distribution network. However in this type of network, it has technical issues such as enormous power losses which affect the quality of the supply. Nowadays, the introduction of Distributed Generation (DG) units in the system help improve and support the voltage profile of the network as well as the performance of the system components through power loss mitigation. In this study network reconfiguration was done using two meta-heuristic algorithms Particle Swarm Optimization and Gravitational Search Algorithm (PSO-GSA) to enhance power quality and voltage profile in the system when simultaneously applied with the DG units. Backward/Forward Sweep Method was used in the load flow analysis and simulated using the MATLAB program. Five cases were considered in the Reconfiguration based on the contribution of DG units. The proposed method was tested using IEEE 33 bus system. Based on the results, there was a voltage profile improvement in the system from 0.9038 p.u. to 0.9594 p.u.. The integration of DG in the network also reduced power losses from 210.98 kW to 69.3963 kW. Simulated results are drawn to show the performance of each case.

A MULTIPLE – CHANNEL QUEUING MODELS ON FUZZY ENVIRONMENTIAEME Publication
In this paper, we investigated a queuing model of fuzzy environment-based a multiple channel queuing model (M/M/C) ( /FCFS) and study its performance under realistic conditions. It applies a nonagonal fuzzy number to analyse the relevant performance of a multiple channel queuing model (M/M/C) ( /FCFS). Based on the sub interval average ranking method for nonagonal fuzzy number, we convert fuzzy number to crisp one. Numerical results reveal that the efficiency of this method. Intuitively, the fuzzy environment adapts well to a multiple channel queuing models (M/M/C) ( /FCFS) are very well.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

"Impact of front-end architecture on development cost", Viktor TurskyiFwdays
I have heard many times that architecture is not important for the front-end. Also, many times I have seen how developers implement features on the front-end just following the standard rules for a framework and think that this is enough to successfully launch the project, and then the project fails. How to prevent this and what approach to choose? I have launched dozens of complex projects and during the talk we will analyze which approaches have worked for me and which have not.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.
