How did you use media
technologies in the construction
and research, planning and
evaluation stages?
Research
ď‚— I used Google to get images of different magazine adverts
and digipaks to analyse.
ď‚— Prezi was a great way to present my work in an exciting
and interactive way.
ď‚— Powerpoint was also a way to present my work but unlike
Prezi was simpler and easier to use, therefore meaning I
got a lot done quicker.
ď‚— I used YouTube to watch music videos that I needed to
analyse. This was the best place to do so as it was quick
and easy to find what I was looking for.
ď‚— Surverymonkey.com was a great website to create my
audience survey.
Planning
 I used Prezi to present my pitch as I thought it’d be more
interesting than creating a simple powerpoint as I could
add more effects. I also used it to make a presentation
about my chosen songs meaning.
ď‚— Glogster was also another way to present my work in an
interesting way. I used it to present my audience profile
and my organisation of costumes.
ď‚— I used Word to create my call sheet for my organisation of
actors, as I knew exactly how to create a table so thought
it’d be the quickest and easiest way to do so, whilst also
being able to make full use of the programme.
ď‚— I used Powerpoint to create the presentations for the
genre conventions and background of the song.
Production
ď‚— To create my magazine advert and digipak I used the programme
InDesign. This wasn’t too difficult as I had already gained many
skills about how to use it from using it in AS.
ď‚— To edit the photos for my magazine ad and digipak I used
photoshop. I also knew how to use this quite well due to doing
photography and having used it last year to edit some photos for
my magazine.
ď‚— I used a camcorder to film my music video. I had only ever used
it once before but I managed to get the hang of it quite quickly.
ď‚— When it came to editing my music video I used the software
iMovie, by Apple. I decided to use this software as I had used it
briefly before in AS to answer one of my evaluation questions so
knew how to use the basics. To help me gain further use of the
programme I used Google and YouTube to find some techniques.
ď‚— I used iTunes to buy the song I was going to use for my music
video.
Evaluation
ď‚— I used Powerpoint to answer some of my evaluation
questions as I knew exactly how to use it, so knew it
would be no trouble and that I would be able to answer
the questions to the best of my abilities, due to not having
to fiddle with all the effects.
ď‚— I also used Prezi to answer some as this was another
programme I knew how to use well whilst also making the
presentation more interactive.
