The ADKAR Model is a five-stage change management model developed by Prosci that consists of the elements Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, and Reinforcement. It provides a simple framework for driving successful change by addressing an individual's need to be aware of the change, desire to participate in it, knowledge of how to change, ability to implement the change, and reinforcement to sustain the change. The model can be used to diagnose resistance to change, guide individuals through the change process, create action plans for change, and develop effective change management strategies.
